A gamble of 90$(+) hoping [this] lash girl knows what she's doing and not rushing through the whole process..sigh until finally you settle with a woman who kinda does a good job or if you're like me settles to buy a fiber mascara so.... moral of this story is... after a long journey... years, searching for an honest good lash technician. I come to you: my fellow women who know the lash struggle is real!! I found an amazing professional eyelash technician. She's in Brampton but wherever you are it's worth the drive. I promise you!! it's clean work, she has different kinds of lash services and she's an expert in all of them! When you look at your lashes afterwards it does not look like you have fake lashes on.. that's what we want, a natural look and feel, even if you have a dramatic look ( I can do a dramatic look with about 6-8 layers of fiber mascara. just depends on the look you're going for- point is, it can and should look professional) I don't get anything out of referring you guys to her I'm just really impressed with her work, she's certainly raised the bar!! My technician is Melissa, and I know there's a girl Sasha whose been trained by her. Melissa cares about the quality of work, thus anyone trained by her par to her standards. I thought her bed was a little dirty (on the door part), and she didn't offer me a blanket or a basket to put my things in. I am used to NYC lash experiences where the lash ladies are very attentive. I could almost overlook those small discrepancies -- but my lashes look just okay, she didn't go all of the way to the edge of my lashes! She left about 15 lashes empty on the outside corners of my eyes! Also, she didn't consult with me. She didn't ask which kind of curl I wanted, how long, or how thick. She just started applying! I was shocked! So when I chimed in and told her what kind of look I was hoping to achieve she just said, "okay".

My daughter got her eyebrows waxed, and they also offer microblading and eyelash extensions at very reasonable prices. The space is nicely decorated, with a boutique feel rather than your run of the mill nail salon. Jenny picked the name "Lavelle" because she liked the way it sounded, and was happy when she found out that it meant "a cut above." I concur. If we lived here, I would be a regular client.

I had a truly horrific experience with Sammy. I went to get my eyeliner tattooed and the attached…read morephotos show what the permanent results are. This is after she spent 4 hours (two sessions six weeks apart) working on my eyes. My eyes are now a mess, and when I sent Sammy these pictures, she accused me of wearing makeup/doctoring the photos. In these photos, I am not wearing a stitch of makeup. There is ink smeared all over the place making my eyes look purple. On one eyelid, there are spots where the ink is missing. On the other eye, the line is thick and comes down way farther on the outside than on the other eye. Both lines are quite crooked. The photos don't capture everything nearly as well as seeing my eyes in person. I have made countless phonecalls around Ontario, and have learned that laser tattoo removal is too dangerous to be done on eyelids, so this is now the result I have to live with. I wanted tattooing because I am not great with makeup and thought it would make my daily makeup routine simpler. Just a little mascara and I would be good to go most days. Now I have to apply concealer several times a day, as it wears off quickly, just to try and cover some of the mess. I feel very self concious in public and am embarrassed for anyone to see me without full eye makeup now. I reached out to Sammy asking for compensation, but she wasn't willing to give me back even a small portion of the price I paid her to tattoo my eyeliner. In my opinion, she should be accepting some responsability and be willing to compensate me in some way. Please, if you are considering giving your business to Lash and Brow by Sammy, reach out to me first. I would be happy to let you see my eyes firsthand before you make a decision about spending your money at this business. If there was an option to not give this business a star rating at all, I would choose that, but I must give at least one star to post this review so it is what it is.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Oro Salon, specifically with Kristina. When I booked…read moremy bridal hair trial, I clearly stated I needed appointments for myself, my mother, and my mother-in-law, but she only booked two of us, making me feel at fault. I looked at the messages to confirm 3 people were booked. During the appointment, kristina left several times to attend other clients, which was frustrating, especially for a bridal trial that dosent require any pauses to let thing "set" so styling my hair took longer than necessary. I did not feel like a priority during my appointment, which is extremely frustrating and concerning as this was an appointment for my bridal hair. I showed her a photo of a sleek, small bun and made it very clear that I wanted something small simplistic and pulled back as I don't like anything large.(see photo 1) The result was extremely disappointing as it was a large, messy style bun. (see photo 2-4) When I brought this up she said my hair was the issue but only after she had already done the wrong style. I was very open to cutting my hair if needed and gave many opportunities during the appointment to set my expectation that we won't be able to achieve the hairstyle that I was hoping to achieve. I did also let her know the reason I was here today was because I had my bridal shower that evening and wanted to have my hair done for that. After a second attempt for my hair, it was closer to what I wanted, but still not right. By the time I drove home (just 20 minutes), the second hairstyle was already falling apart so much so I ended up having to wash my hair and redo it for my evening event. (see photo 5-7) In addition, my mother and mother-in-law were also unhappy with their styles. After emailing my concerns and giving her a better understanding of why I no longer felt comfortable or confident proceeding with her services, and requesting a refund not of the work she did but just the deposit for the wedding hair (especially given the ample time before my wedding), she refused a refund and only offered a partial gift card that had so many restrictions including: non-transferable, only toward salon services, expiring December 2026. Overall, this salon was poorly managed, unprofessional, had poor communication and an inability to follow client inspiration. I would not recommend them for bridal or any services.
