I am not a big talker, he was just trying to be funny, or point out the obvious that we didn't have anyone to worry about. It has never been crowded when we went on the weekends. The Dolby Atmos sound system in the downstairs theater delivers crystal-clear, immersive audio that elevates the movie-going experience to a whole new level. The reclining, reserved seats are roomy/comfy. The box office and concessions team are super efficient and friendly, making the whole process seamless and enjoyable. The 2 smaller auditoriums upstairs are a little more hit or miss, but due to the care of the staff and the presentation of the feature are still better than the other theater in the area. One thing to note is that the Bedford Playhouse is normally closed on Mondays, and showtimes can be limited, so be sure to plan ahead, you may want to catch that new release but if you blink, you may miss it as films rotate in and out usually within 2 weeks of opening. Whether you're a film buff or just looking for a unique entertainment experience, this theater is a must-visit.

We all also thought it was unusual to exit the theater and walk-through the main bar/lobby to leave and see one of the staff men sitting at the bar with an undershirt tank top on. I didn't order tickets in advance but used the kiosk when we walked in. I was also able to order food at the kiosk and then pick it up at the concession stand. Although every employee I saw there looks like they are in high school, the place seemed to be pretty well run. It was tidy, the soda/salt/napkins areas were organized and well stocked. The restrooms were a little outdated but they were clean and most everything worked. The theater was clean and the seats were in good shape....no obvious tears or sagging or anything. Sound and temperature were perfect. There were probably about a dozen other people in the theater and nobody used their phones or decided to have an in depth conversation. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the other reviews. I imagine if I saw a film that wasn't designed to attract old softies like me, my experience might have been different but I would go back here as long as it wasn't too crowded.

What a fantastic job they have done. Cinema lab is the company responsible for the redesign. They have a Theatre that they redid in South Orange, New Jersey. As well as in Colorado. Now there's a beautiful pub upstairs where you can get drinks and food as well. I had a delicious dry aged burger with french fries. It was such a great experience from the hospitable hosts to the complimentary drinks and popcorn to the cozy seating in their little theatre room. It for sure is a cute location to stroll around, catch a movie and get some ice cream or coffee at one of the nearby shops. We really enjoyed the movie and without the audio effects from the theatre we would've never had the experience we did. Loved how cute and quaint it was and that they have the option to rent the rooms for your next special event and do your own screenings. Pretty epic
