I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.

I was greeted as I walked in the door by Monica, and we chatted about how busy it was because the parking lot was packed! She answered my questions about tax free weekend, and told me about the sales. As I was finishing my shopping trip at the register, I began to feel faint so I asked to sit down for a moment. As I was sitting trying to collect myself, my cashier Riley stayed with me the whole time! She talked with me, reassured me, and brought me water. Monica also came back to check on me. When I was feeling better Riley walked me to the door, to make sure I was alright. I am so grateful for the incredible customer service. Everyone there was so very kind and caring. ADU Annapolis has their own install crew, they dont use subcontractors (one of the reasons I went with them) and their experience was evident from the moment they began working until they were finished. True professionals, which is unfortunately becoming more and more rare these days. The buying process was pleasant and my sales rep Meg was great, quite knowledgeable and very responsive. Smooth process from start to finish. Highly recommended, And they are a multi-generation, family owned business, happy to support them and look forward to buying from them again soon.

Understanding that this is a discount furniture spot, we figured they'd have a decent selection on hand. Was right about that! Messaged the owner Josh and he seemed like an involved owner. I inquired about the hours since it was a holiday and he confirmed they were open. Found a bunk we liked and it was in stock. Got the price to a great point and decided to add on mattresses. That's where the issues came.. after a lot of back and forth we settled on two (what we though) pillow top mattresses, one of which was on display and was the floor model. They then mentioned they had it in stock and we even ended up paying $80 more because they said they'd lose money on the deal... I get it... offset costs from the actual furniture we bought. Loaded the car up? Confirmed that the colors were right.. mattresses were in boxes and vacuum sealed.. didn't think I'd have to open on the spot to confirm, SHOULD HAVE! Got the furniture home, put together the bed, very happy with it. Opened the mattresses and they were two different mattresses and neither one was what we "thought" we were getting. Messaged Josh through FB politely explained the mishap, confirmed we were happy with the furniture, even gave the sales person a nod of approval... his response (see screenshot below). After following the owners advice and messaging the sales guy.. he was short with me and ultimately stopped responding. I'd say, come here as they have a nice selection... if you buy a mattress in particular... OPEN BEFORE YOU PAY as they have an "all sales are final" stamped on the receipt! That seems to be where they're not as transparent (or aware) of their inventory. The bunk bed we purchased was very nice. Looking up the manufacture and this model, great reviews and we got an excellent price. Because there was some deception with what we received (mattresses) , we may escalate and file a BBB complaint.
