Bought several high end appliances from ADU and everything was recently installed. I've done many remodels/builds before and was blown away at the detail and experience the installation crew that works for ADU demonstrated. ADU Annapolis has their own install crew, they dont use subcontractors (one of the reasons I went with them) and their experience was evident from the moment they began working until they were finished. True professionals, which is unfortunately becoming more and more rare these days. The buying process was pleasant and my sales rep Meg was great, quite knowledgeable and very responsive. Went to this business based on referrals. What a huge DISAPPOINTMENT. I paid in April. No delivery until the end of October. Then it didn't fit despite being the same brand and having the salesman look at the space. I was promised some retrofit and that was October. They arranged to have the granite cut 2 inches and now there is a large space that needs trim. Sorry I can't post a photo. read more

I am updating my review to reflect the superb customer service my husband and I received. ADU really came through and made everything right with our order. They replaced the broken refrigerator and supplied us with a temporary oven in the mean time while our back order one arrives. Tim and Wally really went above and beyond to fix the mistakes that were made and we are truly appreciative. If you are looking for somewhere that is extremely knowledgeable about all appliances and takes care of their customers then ADU is your go to place. I have appreciated the service of a number of the staff at ADU - purchasing a new refrigerator and GECafe Induction cooktop in the past year. I will NEVER buy from ADU again! Our salesman was just that - he wanted to make a sale. Even though he was told that we had a 36" opening for a refrigerator in our new kitchen remodel, he did NOT explain that the newer refrigerators tend to have thick doors (3 - 4") wide. The doors on the refrigerator that he sold us extend out past the 36" opening I'm coming to realize that we will not find the perfect refrigerator to fit in the 36" space in our new kitchen. Who knew that today's modern refrigerators tend to have thick doors that extend out past the sides of the refrigerator. We can fit the appliance in the space - we just can't open it! Once we realized that the fridge would not fit, the company would not take it back and replace it with one that would fit. Apparently, once the fridge is out of the box, it is used, and ADU does not sell used refrigerators. So, after MANY calls and emails, we are stuck with a $3500 appliance that extends 4" out into the doorway between our living room and the kitchen. I AM FED-UP w/ADU! read more

Our experience with ADU has been awful, we are now going on 5 months without all of our appliances and the very expensive ones we do have are not working. ADU's customer service has been tremendously inconsistent and the information they give us has not been reliable at all. We wish we had gone with a bigger company. read more

Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because they were competitive with regard to pricing. Beware of ADU's return policy and restocking fees. Due to pandemic related shortages we were advised to order way in advance. We did and our appliances were delivered and stored in our garage waiting for construction to be completed enough to install them. By the time issues were discovered, it was past the return date. I advise you to open every single box while the delivery people are still there - even the very large items that have packaging that "looks fine!" We had some sort of problem with EVERY KitchenAid appliance purchased from ADU during our 2021 kitchen remodel. Some problems were not ADU's fault, but their customer service and problem resolution leaves a lot to be desired. Fridge #1 had a forklift puncture inside the factory shrink wrap! Damage credit they offered us was so low we accepted another customer's return of the same model. Microwave #1 did not fit into the space (salesperson had our specifications, so we trusted his recommendation!) at first they didn't want to accept it back at all but finally agreed (with a hefty restocking fee!) Replacement microwave #2 arrived with a major dent after 6 weeks. Gas commercial style range worked for a week before 2 front burners stopped lighting. ADU told us to call the manufacturer. Warranty service confirmed the defects but the parts needed to repair it are backordered until who knows when. When the chimney for range hood was unpacked and installed - it had dents in two places! read more

Worst experience ever. If you are coming to this company, you are probably spending a lot of money. I'd recommend taking your money to a different company unless you want to sign up for bad service, late deliveries, zero communication, and overall disappointment. It's obvious they need to hire more people or hire sales reps that know how to communicate. We will never purchase from here again and will be sure to steer people away from here. read more

This was my second time shopping here, and it will be my last. Our first experience, in 2017 was great, start to finish. At that time we bought from "The Appliance Source", Paula was our sales representative. We came back when we needed a new fridge and two ADA compliant bev fridges in 2020. I believe the business is under a new name or branding, it is now ADU. Mark was our sales associate and the entire experience was underwhelming. We picked a Fridge on a Wednesday, and provided full payment (they cashed the check that day). We had indicated timeline was most important to us, so modified our model to get the fridge within a week, based on what inventory showed that day. The following Monday I still did not have delivery information or follow up confirming this. Several phone calls and an email, on that Monday, i finally tracked down Mark. At that point he then informed me our fridge was back ordered for a month (which last week it was in stock). So I then changed my order again to get an entirely different configuration delivered. Upon delivery, several days later, the delivery team simply dropped the fridge off, they did not set anything up like HD or Best Buy would. I called to inquire and they advised their delivery teams are not trained for installation. If this is their policy, then that is fine - but it would have been great to know upfront. I could have easily bought this from Home Depot where they have trained associates for this, and i expect Home Depot can also confirm an order when it is placed. Anyways, I have more appliances to buy in the near future and i believe i will pursuing that business elsewhere. Terrible customer service, which for a small business is typically their strong suit. read more

Run, do not walk to the nearest exit. I don't have the time and energy to describe the series of screw-ups and delays related to our purchase of a Wolf stove. If our experience is any indicator, this crew literally cannot get out of its own way. I would expect better service from a discount appliance box store. I needed all new appliances for my kitchen. I worked with Paula Given and she was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and helpful when I was feeling overwhelmed with all of the choices I had to make. The refrigerator had an issue after installation and Paula was on top of the problem immediately and made sure it was resolved quickly and I didn't have to be the one making a million phone calls. My husband and I have been so impressed with ADU. Our entire experience from start to final installation was outstanding. Angela was our sales rep - she was knowledgeable, professional and patient. It was one of our bigger purchases and my husband and I asked many questions, made several changes to the quote and thru it all Angela's experience and excellent customer service was so appreciated! The prices quoted were very competitive and sometimes below the other major retailers. We also felt so much better after Leonard came to our home and checked all the measurements to make sure the installation went smoothly. I have never written a review on installers before but I have to say Nick and Tony were outstanding. They worked efficiently, very approachable, friendly and part of the service was they cleaned behind the fridge and oven before install. We are so thankful that both Nick and Tony were our installers. So I think you can see we would recommend ADU without hesitation if you are looking to change some of your appliances. read more
