Furthermore, if you are seeking a dipping powder service, I would advise requesting a different technician, as Aaliyah seemed to strongly encourage a gel builder instead. However, I maintained my preference, as I believe a service should always prioritize the client's wishes rather than the technician's convenience or potential upselling. Despite this experience, I do plan to return to the salon. I will, however, be much more discerning when selecting my nail technician next time. I observed other technicians who appeared very attentive and engaged with their clients, rather than being preoccupied with their phones. In summary, my one-star rating is specifically for Aaliyah's service. However, I would give the salon's overall ambiance, atmosphere, and the owners four stars. Four stars because I found the music selection to be somewhat inappropriate. I would suggest considering music with more family-friendly lyrics, particularly given the presence of younger patrons. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill immediately. The woman at the front desk was extremely unprofessional, wearing a durag and greeting us with a noticeable attitude. When we said we wanted pedicures, she bluntly responded, "We can't take you today," and turned us away--no explanation, no offer to schedule a later time, and not even a basic goodbye. The lack of customer service was unacceptable. First impressions matter, and this one was poor. We ended up going across the street to Allure Nail Spa, where we were taken within five minutes and received top-tier service. That experience made the contrast even more disappointing. I needed a fill-in badly with no appointment, and even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon, the wait was only about 30 minutes. Briana at the front desk was super accommodating and helpful. My nail tech, Yunez, did an amazing job -- she's detailed, precise, and really knows how to do a clean acrylic fill. The prices are also very reasonable. I visited this establishment May 15th for my birthday pedicure it was my second time and I hate to say but I was very disappointed. I got the glass slipper pedicure. The guy who did the pedicure did not do callus removal. When I went to check out I asked if the 10% special was applied and the lady said oh I think that's for mani and pedi ugh no your sign outside says mani OR pedi. VERY unhappy! This was the worst experience I have ever had with a nail salon. I picked the 45 min pedicure with gel... it took 1.5 hours wasn't done nicely and cut my toe. She didn't even put lotion on my legs. Then don't get me started on the dip nails.... Over 1.5 hours again for those and they look awful. She had to put a gel color over the dip to get the color I wanted. It is so patchy and painted way over the sides of my nails. And to get my old dip polish off she was extremely rough with the grinder and broke 2 of my nails and had to glue them down. Over 3 hours in there and I hate them. I will be going to get my nails redone in the morning somewhere else. read more
