Update: I originally rated 3 stars based off the bowl I received. Customer service is AMAZING and I will be back to try their pitaya bowl again. So this was a very good smoothie bowl but it was not what I ordered. I am biased towards pitaya as I love its fresh/light flavor which is what I ordered. The first bowl I received was açaí and even asked the staff member to look and she agreed it was açaí and was happy to remake it with pitaya. Pictured is the bowl they remade still with açaí. My friend invited me here after the gym, I was so impressed I came back 2 more times that same week! I am so picky when it comes to açaí because I hate just sugary or pre-maid açaí! I got to speak with the owner who mentioned how they use quality proteins and fruits! I've tried 4 of the bowls and they all have been amazing! Acai is a berry of Brazilian origin that is said to be so high in anti-oxidants that it leaves even the powerful pomegranate in the dust. The Bowl of Heaven Cafe menu consists largely of of Acai based smoothies or Acai bowls. The bowls are essentially the smoothies in a bowl-carton with toppings added like a variety of fresh fruits, honey, granola and coconut. The menu lists several options for each smoothie or bowl and indicates what is blended in with the Acai for each. For bowls it also lists what toppings are included. All ingredients are gluten free and free of processed additives. Oatmeal is also available and soup seasonally. But the reason we were there was for the Acai bowl although in reading Yelp reviews we didn't really know what they were. I hope the above description helps so you do. We walked in newbies and left fans of the food and the service. SERVICE The menu is displayed above the counter and the friendly and helpful young women working there made deciphering the menu and ordering easy. They are happy to answer questions and make recommendations. You pay when you order, take a seat and when your order is ready they'll deliver it to you. VIBE The modest space is in one of the area's many marginal strip malls and tucked next to an emergency medicine clinic and a Zamzows nursery. The interior looks as if a cross between health food store and take out spot. A Spartan vibe with a several tables and chairs and a raised counter against the wall for high seating for a few more. There are a couple of tables and a bench outside. At noonish on a June day the tables were mostly in full sun so inside seemed a better option. Everything is sparkling clean. Up tempo, current pop tunes played from the TV overhead. BOWLS As we placed our order it was pretty clear we were first timers and the nice customer behind us, waiting for her multi item to-go order, said "Oh, you are going to love the bowls." She was right. All of the ingredients were fresh, the fruit toppings were wonderful and generously applied. We had mixed responses to one of our two choices, which are just our palates and no fault of the bowl. Different strokes for different folks. My hubby tried the Peanut Butter bowl, which we hear is the most popular, but in truth that isn't one either of us would order again. He's a peanut butter fan. I am a fiend. (If you promise not to tell anyone, I'll confess that on multiple occasions I have been known to eat peanut butter right out of the jar). He liked the berries and bananas that topped his bowl and the chocolate chips mixed in but didn't think the peanut butter flavor was enough prominent. I thought the flavor of the peanut butter was wrong with the Acai and the texture of the peanut butter powder made the smoothie base too viscous, a gluey texture as off putting as that sounds. Clearly, I am in the minority opinion for this bowl given how popular it is. The base for my choice of 4th of July bowl (the current special) was smooth, dense and icy perfect. I also loved the fresh cherries, coconut, berries, bananas and granola topping it. Highly recommend. You really can't go wrong with any choice here. That the delicious bowls are so healthy in ingredients is a plus. VALUE Prices for a small, which both my hubby and I found ample for each of us as lunch, start at $4.95. Not that we wouldn't have LIKED to have more, they were so good, but we didn't NEED to have more to be satisfied. There is a difference. We thought these were a great deal. THIS N THAT: 1) ACCESSIBILITY Parking lot has one spot of accessible parking. It does not meet Federal equal access law requirements as laid out, but that is the strip mall owner's issue, not the cafe's. Cafe entry is level in the door and all on one level. Several standard height tables. Unisex loo is accessible. 2) PARKING LOT: This lot is a hazard for how it is laid out and how traffic goes through. If you're backing out or pulling in to the Cafe or emergency clinic next door, be aware of traffic from the Zamzow's side. read more

The first time I came here was my first day home from Ghana, Africa. I was craving something high in antioxidants and probiotics. My mother suggested bowl of heaven, so I tried it out. I had the mango tango smoothie with added probiotics. It was absolutely delicious! I don't know if it was coming here or just coming back to America, but after having the smoothie my body felt so much healthier. My second time coming here was today! I got the mango tango bowl, which is topped with granola, strawberries, and bananas, and my mother got the tropical bowl. Both were absolutely delicious! I happened to stumble in here after a Yelp post about where to find Acai Bowls. I happened to be driving through Eagle and I saw the business name and with having 30 minutes before my next meeting, I thought would a good opportunity to try a new business. The parking lot was a bit awkward if you are traveling north and since the business has no sign name above the store, it was a little tricky to find but well worth it. I asked the employee what was the most popular Acai Bowl and she referred me to the peanut butter one so I gladly ordered it and it was excellent. It was a little pricey but well worth it. The Peanut Butter Passion Bowl is delicious; however, I'm disappointed because I spent $22.75 on 3 bowls today and they are not honoring their stamp card right now (buy 10, get 11th free) to "reduce contact". So I received not even one stamp. Come up with a system. Don't punish your customers for this. I assume they don't take cash tips if they will not touch a stamp card as well.
