The quality of service from BAC has been in decline for some time. With the price tag BAC commands for its membership, the product is lackluster. Staff and hours have been cut, equipment is dated, and cleanliness has been a concern (namely at the Scottsville Road location). There are better quality gyms in the area. There are more affordable gyms in the area. There are gyms with 24/7 access.... You get the point. No matter what you prioritize in a gym membership, there's someone else in the area that does it better. read more

I've been in town visiting family and needed a straightforward gym with equipment that fits my routine. BAC had it and also had the customer service to go with it! Clean space, tons of parking, great hours, lockers and showers, plenty of equipment and group classes (if that's your thing). Free weights, racks, machines, cardio for days and lots of open space plus a functional training area with a sled, landmine, battleropes, boxes, kettlebells, etc. Not to mention they have a huge gymnasium area for basketball and the members I interacted with were very friendly. Overall, great gym and at only $12 for a single day use - I'd definitely visit again! Thank you BAC! read more

I've been to most other gyms in Bowling Green. This is by far the cleanest gym and the staff is great here. Not bad on pricing for a family of 3. I love the theater room and they have a variety of classes...my daughter loves her metcon....child care (I don't use), a women's only area and 2 locations. I like gyms that are not crowded, have a positive atmosphere and theyre not catty and oppressing. This town has some old gyms and then its "Planet Tznius/Cover up ur gains", and I also had a horrible discriminatory and hostile experience at the BG powerhouse (egomaniacs & control freak female owner that violate your privacy and talk behind ur back), frozen awkward atmosphere. At these gyms I felt like i was at some Walmart or a Fast food joint where the out of shape folks are the bullies (FYI in the US the fluffy or fat chicks and the muffin top gynecomastia guys make fun of me - its a phenomenon i try to avoid). But at BAC I felt respected. Its like a European gym. The staff are friendly, and they did their best to give me a free pass. The facility is huge and clean, I love the free weights area. I also signed up at their discounted special. The vibe of the gym is positive,ppl mind their business but theyre not hostile, and I love the hrs of operation and their locations. I dont like being starred at so after 8pm is half empty and thats the best time for me. read more

I used to go to BAC a few years ago. I stopped my membership and switched to a new place for awhile to see if I liked it. When I recently switched back to BAC this past year, I was honestly disappointed with the costumer service. I love BAC and throughly enjoy the women's only area. But when I first started going there, everyone who worked there was so nice. They always greeted me when I walked in and talked to me for a few. Now when I walk in, they completely avoid eye contact and don't even say anything. It's just disappointing. read more

Today at the gym I was shooting ball with a friend and and one long haired guy worker came and cussed at us for shooting on the same goal with the same ball. Called my girl a bad name and this is not the reputation this gym has. Hurts me to give this review. read more

I honestly cannot believe the customer service at the gym! It is the absolute worst customer service anywhere. They have no idea who their members are or care if they see them for anything other than a membership fee. The girl at the desk acts like a bouncer. So unprofessional. When I called she refused to identify herself by name and when I asked her name she wanted to know why I wanted it. I told her it is good customer service to identify yourself when answering the phone. read more

Very expensive for what you get compared to other gyms in the area. The only thing this gym offers that other gyms do not is the women's only area. They have a cardio theatre too, but you can find that at other gyms that cost less. I would expect more updated and user-friendly equipment as well. read more

Visited Bowling Green for work and needed a place to work out. Only cost me $10 for a day pass. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have every machine, hammer strength machine or free weight you could need. A lot of treadmills and elipticals. Not many stairclimbers or bikes. They have mini lockable cubbyholes for your keys etc. One bummer is no towels. You'll want to bring your own. Over great place and I'll visit every time I'm in BG. read more

I don't think they want new customers. Staff is not very friendly Policies are silly I've never seen rules for using fitness equipment like this in New York, Los Angeles or Chicago...my luck for landing in a small town. I've heard that Total Fitness and/or the Parks and Recreation Fitness center are better. I'm trying them next. read more

Showed up today following an email invite to check out the sauna area. First they asked whom it was from - no idea; it said only BAC. Then they asked me to see the email - huh? You assume I'm lying about it? A customer should never have to prove that what she's saying is true - quite insulting. Better internal communication would have had everyone on the same page. If I'm to be asked who sent the email, the sender should supply his name. Had to walk out to the car to get the phone - this was after I told them I am an arthritis patient. She reads the email carefully, and I ask why she needed to see it. She says because I said it was a free offer. I said no such thing. I asked about a weekly pass. Then she asks for a photo ID. I have to walk back to the car again? She should have seen I had only my keys in my hand when she sent me out there the first time. Should have informed me about ID before I got there by email. If this is how they deal with POTENTIAL clients, I'm not interested. The people on the front line are the face you present to the public. Train them better for this important position. Summing up: Poor listening; Poor customer service; Insensitivity read more
