We did a 1 hour tour, which goes through the woods and circles back to the stable. My youngest was even permitted to take a horse herself (6yo). The staff in the stable were so kind to my wife and infant who stayed behind, even bringing out toys and entertaining them with the horses there. My daughters and wife loved the alpine slide. My go cart throttle broke down on my first lap, but they gave me another with some extra laps. I wish they had yellow horse tee shirts in my size. Those ones were the coolest.

For only $5 she got to ride the ski lift to top of the mountain and then ride the alpine slide down. She really enjoyed both parts. Really good deal for only $5. She was nervous to ride but when she finished she could not stop smiling. The staff were friendly but seemed occupied with each other more than the guest. I'd driven down I-65 and seen the signs enough to know that it'd be a cool, fun place to visit. Located no far off of the expressway, Dutch County Safari Park is easy to find (just follow the signs). There isn't so much a grand entrance as there is a road the empties out to the large parking lot. The admission fee (roughly $18 per person) is reasonable. One the morning we went there were a lot of kids (and associated families), but that's to be expected, given this attraction is family and education based. The hay ride is the star of this show. You'll be driven by a tractor through the open field. You'll encounter zebras, camels, oxen, ostriches, and many other animals. Each person gets a bowl of feed, and these animals are absolute pros at eating as much as they can as the hay ride slowly makes its way through the park. There is a petting zoo with goats that's kind of fun. One of them tried to eat one of my show laces. There are a few indoor exhibits with rabbits and monkeys and a few other animals and a gift shop. It's easy to miss if you don't explore a bit, so keep your eyes open. This attraction is run by an Amish family, and I think that it's rather neat that the offer this to the public. Our visit lasted a little over an hour and was an hour well spent in the hot July sun. Most of the park is well-shaded, but bring a hat just in case.

There was also a lady who worked with us and was very efficient as well; I regret I didn't get her name. So many young people these days seem to have little to no ability to render interpersonal skills in providing service, but Rhett was exceptional and it did not go unnoticed. He was so accommodating, caring and he let his delightful personality show yesterday evening. I hope management will commend him. The food and drink was exceptional as always. I'm usually not a huge fan of mashed potatoes, but these were exceptional. My partner's favorite is always the dried fish. I would highly recommend this location for group activities or at least for a visit to the restaurant!

The zoo isn't large, but it's big enough to spend a morning or afternoon there as a family. If you have mobility issues, golf carts are available for rent, but if you're in good health and wear the right shoes, you can easily walk and cover the whole zoo. The zoo has a few hills (it is Kentucky) so do wear comfortable shoes and prepare to walk unless you rent a golf cart. My favorite parts were petting the kangaroos and also seeing the sheep dog demonstration. Do pay attention to the times for demonstrations and animal shows; they are worth seeing and the times are a bit limited. You can also feed the goats and interact with the animals, which I enjoyed. We also toured the underground cave, which was a lot of fun but involved a lot of steps. Some of the steps were wet and steep, so be aware of that if you have mobility issues. If you're a parent of young kids or a person who enjoys animals and nature, Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo is a great attraction and worth a visit. It's not too far of a drive from Bowling Green, and a lot of schools and summer day camps visit on field trips.

Could have done without the food, but no one had dinner before the game. Food and drinks were on par with a stop at Mellow Mushroom before the game. The experience is excellent for families! During the week, games are less crowded. The staff is friendly, and the team is playing quite well - 3 home runs yesterday and posted a W! If attending during the day, don't forget some sunscreen.

I had the good fortune to be able to drive up here on an off day from a business trip. The ball parked is tucked neatly into the little downtown area. There's a whole mini-complex, including a Starbucks & restaurants, stretching the width of the ballpark across a brick walkway. I enjoyed my time immensely. The seats are affordable. It's in my top few overall non-MLB experiences.
