To help relieve couples of headache and stress, caterers and event planners created wedding packages which include amenities and styling, not just food. Clearly, this is now a flourishing business. Attending a wedding expo gave me the opportunity to listen to the sales pitch of various caterers. After a day of talking to a number of them, I was able to limit my options to a few which have value features that come at a reasonable price. One such caterer is M Catering and Fine Foods (under Michelin Cuisine and Fine Foods, Inc). In fairness, I initially thought that it belongs to the unreasonably lavish high-end bracket favored by celebrities and socialites. As a matter of fact, one of the first promo cards they handed me was a picture of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. Proudly, they claimed to be the caterer to the couple's so-called Royal Wedding. Subsequently, however, I discovered that in terms of value for money deals, M Catering compared favorably with the competitors. It promised amenities and decent theme styling with the absence of a multitude of additional charges that makes calculation more complex than necessary. They had just a few extra charges and they instantly showed me how to do the computation. As far as the menu is concerned, M Catering offers a wide variety of international dishes even for their lowest priced package. This offers relief from the usual run of reception menus of which most everyone is tired by now. Lastly, a word of advice to the wise bride and groom: In looking for a caterer do not simply compare the standard quoted prices but take into account the value of the product and the amenities and styling that come with the package. Most importantly, beware of rules and additional charges that the caterer may have inserted among the fine print.

From your expert advice to the impeccable service from the banquet staff, everything far exceeded our expectations! Our guests were delighted and loved the food and drinks! Everyone was pleased with the food, and the attention to their diets. I would recommend their catering services with confidence. A few weeks later we had lunch here with my grandfather and it was still just as amazing as the first time I had it. Service was not so bad. A little bit of a language barrier for us but we eventually understood each other. They do not substitute or will put ingredients on the side. Just a little FYI. Stars. 1 star Facilities was nice and modern. 1 star for excellent food 1 star for service 1 star for overall experience. 0 star for bathrooms no running water or toilet paper. And we would bring it to family gatherings, to parties or whenever there would be a group thing at home. That's Ado's Panciteria for us. For a long long looooong time everyone would get theirs from there even if it mean going all the way to the heart of Pasig which would mean braving traffic and enduring the travel to go there. That's how much we loved Ado's! Though there are more places to get your pancit fix and really, more convenient. My mom would sometimes drag me there early morning and we would order so much to last us till her/our next craving. What to get: UGH! where to start?! Okay. Get the Bihon, because that's what we always have. With a side order of Lumpiang Shanghai or Camaron Rebusado or BBQ. Mom likes her pancit with pan de sal so you can go ala mom and get that too. Service wise, they've got good staff. I have to mention that since they're really patient with us and they make sure that we're always set.

Some meals were with friends or family, while most were all by lonesome after spending time at my favorite spa which is somewhere in the area. North Park is synonymous to comfort food for me and it's always served fresh, hot and quick. The menu may seem overwhelming, so here are a few of my favorite dishes to get you started: asado siopao, siomai, mandarin noodles in soup with fresh prawn dumplings, lechon macau topped over fried rice, sliced tender beef with clams congee, sweet corn soup, yang chow fried rice, etc. The truth is, it really doesn't matter what you order because I'm sure you'll be happy with it. That's how much I trust this place.

It's fun to eat here as a group because you can share different dishes. As a starter, I order their Hakao (shrimp dumpling) and Shark's Fin Dumpling. These are my top two favorite kinds of dimsum and North Park certainly serves really good versions. But the thing that I go here for the most is the Lechon Macau with Yang Chow Fried Rice! It's just really really really good Lechon Macau! The pork is tender and easy to eat but the skin is so crispy and flavorful! I love pairing it with some of the chili they have there too. This dish always leaves a smile on my face! It's definitely one of their best sellers. Just thinking about it is already making me hungry for it! Wouldn't mind having that for dinner right now!

The food order is properly itemized and priced in the printed order slip. It gets full very quickly nearing meal times. We had to wait a short while after placing our order at around 5:45 PM. Students, office workers, and tourists are the present diners when we ate there. What I did not like was the setting and service. It did come a long way now that it has a dedicated seating area and a covered roof compared to yesteryears when it was only a stand-up kiosk. It would have been nice if they went all the way and cemented the flooring and have chosen more presentable table and chairs. Durint the time we were present dining, we also overheard another customer having their order wrong. He ordered something around 20 sticks, but what came in the take-out bag was only around 16 sticks. It was a few sticks short. Lastly, do not expect to get good value when eating here. The small portions of food on the sticks are a little pricey and can add up quicky with just a few sticks ordered.

It serves a variety of innards and offal, which I think shows the ingenuity and the resourcefulness of our street food eating habits -nothing goes to waste. On the menu are different kinds of isaw or pig and chicken intestines, and other adventurous stuff such as pig ears, tripe, gizzards and liver. People would actually line up and end up smelling like the smoke from the outdoor grill, which goes to show how good the isaw is. I personally don't like isaw very much, and I have already shifted to my veg diet when I came to UP, but my friends swear by the quality of the isaw sold by Mang Larry's. A friend remarked that he wouldn't even touch any other isaw, unless he is sure that utter care was taken by the vendor in cleaning the innards. They say that the stuff sold by Mang Larry's taste fresh and clean, and free from that undesirable taste of chicken poop that any amateur isaw vendor wouldn't think of cleaning out thoroughly. Anyway, I heard Mang Larry was able to send his kids to college because of his trade, to which I say, well done! Excellent job, hardworking and charismatic Mang Larry!
