Walls are super thin (poor insulation). If someone is yelling, crying, knocks the wall, you can hear it. Unfortunately a family lives underneath me (1 bedroom units). I have to listen to their kid jumping around, crying and banging the walls constantly. They also love to blast their music during the day, but nothing is done about it (after multiple complaints). I've even knocked on their door several times but they never answer. I was advised they don't speak English, which I'm not sure about based on the music. I was genuinely excited to move here because it's out of the way and closer to my family. Since I travel 50-75% of the month for work, I'm currently on assignment. Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow me to take a virtual tour, so I informed the agent that my sister would come view the property. She made a casual comment that it was fine, but she emphasized that they couldn't discuss my application with anyone except me. As if I had asked or wasn't aware of this. It was quite obvious, but I suppose. My sister visited the complex, and in my opinion, they weren't very friendly. I was on FaceTime with her when she arrived, exuding a cheerful disposition and explaining her purpose. The lady recognized her because I had recently emailed. My sister attempted to engage in pleasantries, but they fell flat. However, I understand that it might have been due to Mercury retrograde. They provided her with a map and instructed her on the location of the available unit. That was the extent of their interaction. They didn't mention any of the amenities or other details. My sister drove around the complex and showed me the unit. I liked it. My sister remarked, "I suppose that's it. They didn't really say anything." Despite feeling a bit uneasy, I decided to proceed with the application. I was approved, and I chose a move-in date of May 31st. I paid the reservation fee. Almost two weeks passed, and I hadn't received any updates, but I wanted to move in sooner, so I set a move-in date of May 3rd, as there was a first-floor unit available. I sent an email requesting a quote, but I didn't receive any response. I sent a follow up email a few days later, no response. I waited a few days before calling them, as it was clear that no one was following up with urgency. I spoke to someone who informed me that they could not accept my payment documents because the name on the documents did not match my name. I use an alias at work due to the remote/virtual nature of my job, and my initials actually match my name. The girl on the phone told me that they would need my bank statements or to verify my employment over the phone. I agreed to having them contact my job, as I had no issues with that. However, as the conversation progressed, she informed me that they needed both my bank statements and to contact my job. This was a clear case of mixed messages, and I couldn't help but wonder if they were just trying to make things difficult under the impression that I was providing fake documents. Despite this, I decided to let it slide and remain interested in the place and would send everything in. She kept repeating that she could not switch my unit until my information was fully verified. I understood her point, but I also felt that she needed to know my plan especially since you have to reserve the unit you wanted and I had already paid. I requested that they send me an email outlining what they needed, as no one had reached out to me. It took me contacting them for them to even acknowledge that there was a problem. After several hours, I finally received an email. Within the same hour, I sent back the requested information, along with additional details. This was two weeks ago, and I have yet to hear anything back. It is evident that these people do not want me to stay at their property, and it is even more evident that I do not desire to live in a place that lacks follow-up and treats people as if they are committing fraud. Of course, the reservation fee is non-refundable. Which is very convenient for them. If you choose to move here, good luck, but I will never apply here or recommend them to anyone. - And to be clear, income isn't close to an issue and my CAREER is with a well known company! However, I don't know if I'm approved or denied. Which is asinine for a place of business. But I'm happy to have experienced this prior to moving in.

The transformer for the pool lights is installed right outside my unit, and shortly after moving in I started hearing a humming noise. It took a technician to finally locate the source, and instead of replacing the transformer, which clearly needed it, they applied a quick fix that only lasted about a month and a half. Now the problem is back, and it's even worse. The system is humming again and making an arcing noise when it turns on. The lights run on a sensor that activates only at night, so this disturbance happens when maintenance and the leasing office aren't working. I submitted another request and even called the leasing office, but the response I got was extremely disappointing: essentially, if it can be fixed, great, if not, there's nothing more they can do. They also don't want to investigate it thoroughly because the issue happens at night. This is unacceptable, especially for something that affects a resident's ability to sleep and feel comfortable in their home. I'm leaving this review because I've given multiple chances for this to be handled properly. I will gladly update this review if, and only if, this issue is fully resolved. Update: The Maintenance Supervisor has now identified a solution and ordered the necessary replacement part. They have also turned off the pool lights on my side temporarily to prevent further disturbance while the repair is pending. I appreciate the effort taken to address the issue, and I am hopeful that the new part will fully resolve the problem once it arrives. I will update this review again after the repair is completed.

We do pay for water/sewer/trash separately from rent, but, again, that was disclosed prior to move-in, when I asked about possible extra fees or similar-it hasn't been a big deal- maybe that's where the "nickel & dime" comment derived. The building was finished in April, one month before I moved in. Naturally there will be some bugs that will need to be worked out. Probably the one issue I have experienced is the false fire alarms going off (x4) --the latest one was pretty jarring at 3:57AM, but it stopped 4 minutes later. Again, that's another kink they're working out. Everyone has been great to work with. Leasing office personnel and maintenance are very accommodating. Not sure if anyone else has noticed but the building seems to be a nod to the movie, "The Shining" (subtly noticed in the elevator and the hallway carpet pattern, as well as the different colored themes on each floor-matching the color scheme of the Overlook Hotel in "The Shining"), which I think is cool AF and a really creative touch! A HUGE plus for me: Super quiet atmosphere, I rarely hear anything from the neighboring apartment. When I do happen to hear convos, they're very muffled and not distracting at all. The hallways are eerily quiet, in the best way! Working remotely, this is a plus! My visitors have commented that it always smells so nice in the hallways and common areas. We have had a couple issues with car break-ins in the garage, but I've been told they're working on a solution. Additional security would be prudent, of course.
