I recently moved into an apartment located next to the pool, in this community, and ever since then I've been dealing with an ongoing issue that the management still hasn't resolved. The transformer for the pool lights is installed right outside my unit, and shortly after moving in I started hearing a humming noise. It took a technician to finally locate the source, and instead of replacing the transformer, which clearly needed it, they applied a quick fix that only lasted about a month and a half. Now the problem is back, and it's even worse. The system is humming again and making an arcing noise when it turns on. The lights run on a sensor that activates only at night, so this disturbance happens when maintenance and the leasing office aren't working. I submitted another request and even called the leasing office, but the response I got was extremely disappointing: essentially, if it can be fixed, great, if not, there's nothing more they can do. They also don't want to investigate it thoroughly because the issue happens at night. This is unacceptable, especially for something that affects a resident's ability to sleep and feel comfortable in their home. I'm leaving this review because I've given multiple chances for this to be handled properly. I will gladly update this review if, and only if, this issue is fully resolved. Update: The Maintenance Supervisor has now identified a solution and ordered the necessary replacement part. They have also turned off the pool lights on my side temporarily to prevent further disturbance while the repair is pending. I appreciate the effort taken to address the issue, and I am hopeful that the new part will fully resolve the problem once it arrives. Maintenance is unprofessional. The facility is flooded with drug usage/distribution. For what you pay, this place isn't worth it. I'd rather have less amenities with more peace of mind that those working for the community I live in can be trusted. Not to mention, the area is full of homeless people on every corner. Broken Window in "Secured" Domain West Parking - Serious Security Concerns I've been a resident of Domain West for 2.5 years and, until recently, was completely satisfied with the living conditions. However, on May 27, 2025, I encountered an issue that casts serious doubt on the complex's advertised security and accountability. My car, parked on the second floor of Domain West's "secured" 7-story parking garage, was found with a broken window in the morning. The parking garage is advertised as being reliably guarded, with controlled entry and exit only via gates operated by a remote control. Despite this, my property was damaged. Upon reporting the incident to the front desk, the Domain West staff were attentive, promised to review video footage, and assisted me in communicating with the police. I'm grateful for their help in that regard. The police took my report of property damage over the phone and recorded the details. According to Domain West staff, the incident occurred around 5:00 AM. An unknown vehicle entered the second floor of the parking garage, and two individuals in hoodies exited it. They broke my car window and also attempted to remove my wheels. I'm extremely concerned that a vehicle with perpetrators could freely enter a secured parking garage, and these individuals felt so unpunished that they even attempted to remove wheels, which takes a significant amount of time. No one has been able to answer my question about how this is possible given the controlled entry and security. However, when it came to financial compensation for the damage, which totaled $845 (cost of glass and installation), the situation changed. I was given the security firm's contact information, but then told that no one intends to compensate me for my losses. There have been no further investigations by Domain West, nor any attempts from their side to contact the security firm. Such a complete disavowal of responsibility for an incident on supposedly secured property is deeply troubling. I cannot afford to pay such a sum and did not expect to encounter such a problem in a residential complex that promotes itself as a safe place to live. Please be extremely cautious when choosing your residence. The promise of "reliable security" doesn't guarantee the safety of your property. Incidents like this, where compensation is denied for damage on secured premises, can be an unexpected and costly "surprise." read more

I've lived here four years and I've mostly loved it! It's nestled in nice neighborhoods to walk my dog, and I can walk to Terry Hershey as well. The units don't have bugs and the maintenance men fix your requests in usually same day. There are some really good walkable restaurants nearby. The only negatives are- -you have to pay for cable/internet through them. I never watched cable in the four years I've been there and I'd rather not pay for that service -I was robbed once ( door broken down, a lot of things stolen) -people can be loud on their porches if you live with your porch facing in a courtyard. The noise really travels. This only happens sometimes though, for the most part people are really respectful -the parking lot fills up and you frequently have to park in a different floor than you live on That all being said, it's bittersweet to be moving. Being woken up by the building wide fire alarms at 5 am this morning sparked this review.....Building wide fire alarms go off any time during the day/night. The noise is ear piercing. I don't think there has been an actual fire or emergency to coordinate with these fire alarms yet. They can last any where from 15 mins to 1 or more hours. Today it went from 5am-532am We live in apt 150 which is a ground floor apt and the Tub backed up. It was gross but I didn't get too upset til I found out it was a main sewer line which means other people's feces. Before it happened we had a chronic dirty public restroom bathroom smell coming from that bathroom. After it happened and they had a plumbing company fix the main line so the sewage would drain from our tub it still smelled but not as bad...I asked if someone could come to clean it professionally since it was a main sewer line but I didn't receive a response. We cleaned it ourselves with bleach but haven't used the tub again. Luckily we have the shower in the other bathroom. After the bathtub backing up from the main sewer line we had a major ant problem (see pic) I had already asked multiple times to be put on the monthly list for pest control bc we live close to the trash room but it has never happened. They showed up twice and I had to call and request both times even though I was supposed to be on the monthly list. The main floor of the building has terrible cell phone service especially in our apartment (apt 150). I enabled WiFi calling on my phone and I still can't keep a call on most days. I have Verizon and called and there is nothing that can be done. Since moving in our floors leak some weird sticky glue if is placed on certain areas. I sent pics and requested they fix it in when we first moved it but they didn't. I try to ignore it but it has ruined the bottoms of some of our accent rugs. We decided to not renew our lease and gave our 60 day notice to vacate..... notice given on 3/12/2020 at 3:29 pm but found out shortly after that our new apt (domain city centre) would not be open til a later date. So on 3/13/2020 at 11:01 am I emailed the assistant manager and asked to extend an additional 10 days. I didn't receive a reply from her so on 3/18/220 at 7:58PM I sent an additional email to the main apartment email asking to extend my lease 10 days (see attached pics). No reply. I ended up getting sidetracked after sending this email due to the coronavirus issues. So on 4/8/2020 at 1:47 PM I sent a follow up email with the main apartment email and the assistant manager attached. I got an automatic reply that the assistant manager account was not being monitored and then I got a reply from Claudia Ramirez stating our apt was already rented so we couldn't stay an additional 10 days. I thanked her at first but got upset bc I feel if they would've read my email they would've have seen my request. Due to my other apt not being ready for 10 days later than my lease ended and the whole issue with the coronavirus I asked for corporates number. Then Claudia called me and was probably the rudest person I spoken to while living at Domain west. I asked her if the person who is moving into our apt applied before or after the date I sent the request to the main office email to extend my lease for 10 days (email sent 3/18/2020). She said she didn't have that info but it didn't matter bc we gave our notice. I re-explained the situation but I just couldn't believe she was being so insensitive especially bc I had send the email to the main office email only 5 days after sending our notice to vacate and I even sent her a copy of the one I sent the assistant manager a day after sending our notice to vacate and at that time the assistant manager was still working here. She was unsympathetic so we had to take the loss of the $400 dollars we paid domain city centre and pay new app fees and deposits on another rental. we decided to go there to see an apartment just because of the comments and reviews, But I wish I had not gone! When we entered, the woman sitting at the table said in a very rude tone, "What can I do to for you? When I wanted to explain to her what apartment model we are looking for, she said that at the moment it was the unit we wanted for the date is taken! We asked the model to show at least She put a key in an envelope and wrote the unit number and said you can go and see for yourself After looking for the unit, we found the key was the wrong key and it would not open the door!!! We went back and her the key was wrong she was not surprised at all she Grabbed a few more keys from the table and put them in the same envelope and told me to try them!!!! she was super rude and mean, We just thanked her and got out of there...I never come back there read more

Having lived in a fair number of apartment complexes over the years, I have to say that Domain West is among the best. We moved from out-of-state and based the choice on reviews and online research, not having seen the building with our own eyeballs until the morning we pulled up in a U-Haul. No regrets and hopefully this review will help you make your decision. Location is great - crossroads of Memorial/Dairy Ashford, near I-10, 1/3 a mile (down residential road) to Terry Hershey, across the street from HEB, Walgreens, Randalls, Starbucks, and many restaurants. Price was excellent - very competitive for this high level of apartment. Facilities are maintained and kept clean. Pool, gym, arcade, etc. Staff is made up of ballers. Seriously, they are awesome - and, unusually in my experience, it's been a fairly consistent group with low-turn over - telling me that they have good jobs and enjoy what they're doing. I believe most of them live in the complex as well - so they're invested in keeping the place nice. Events are held a couple times a month, ranging from free food, wine/cheese, hosting food trucks, yoga, etc. Apartment itself is nice, newer appliances, rooms, hardwood floors. read more

Domain West has become one of my favorite apartments to live in. The area is SO CONVENIENT, there is literally everything you need in a 10-15 minute drive. Pictures do not do this place justice. I love the high ceilings and the appliances are awesome. I never have an issue with them breaking down which is something I had to deal with at my last apartment. If I need anything replaced, maintenance is prompt (next day). My neighbors are generally quiet because I rarely hear anything, especially from the people who live above us. I own a dog and they have remodeled the dog park. This place is VERY dog friendly. My little pup has made so many doggie pals and we have a lot of doggie dates. The amenities are great as well. The gym is probably one of the top amenities they offer. They just recently installed amazon lockers to add convenience for the residents. I have lived here for almost a year and have seen many new things constantly done to improve the apartment living. One of the best things I love about this apartment is that management lives on site so they respond to any situation ASAP. I lived through Harvey here and they were so informative about the situation. I just have such a long list of positive things to say. So here's the thing, I love this place, yes, but I honestly don't want to leave a review because if I do, more people will come here and I won't have this special apartment complex all to myself! But truthfully this place is all that and more. Not wanting to sound like a fake review but I have to give credit where credit is due: 1) The grounds are nearly always spotless, I love just chilling around the complex because it's always kept up so nicely. 2) The staff is ON THEIR $H!T. I swear, in my life I've lived at five apartment complexes and this one beats them all hands down. They always pick up their phone if you need to get a hold of them and they respond to maintenance issues literally the same day you file them. I've had my water heater go out at least three times in the last year due to the storms knocking out power and they were there THE NEXT DAY to fix it for me. Incredible. 3) The complex and the actual apartment is SO NICE, like whenever I have friends over they are always complimenting on how pretty my apartment is and how clean and classy the entire complex. 4) Safety: Not only do they have locked gates that are only opened via a key fob, but the doors to actually get into the building or complex are also key fob locked. I have never felt so safe. 5) All the internal hallways are inside the building which saves money on A/C and is a big plus for safety. 6) They have an an amazon package locker! So no worries on getting your package only when the office is open. 7) The staff is so polite and efficient, I mean I'm honestly shocked at the level of diligence these peeps work at. But yea, all in all this place is a dream, which is nice because I regretted moving back to Houston, thankfully this place has made the move much easier. read more

Domain West is by far my most favorited place to call home. Lots of fun resident events, beautiful floor plans and amenities, very supportive management/leasing staff, and lots of friends to make. You have to come check it out for yourself. I looked at hundreds of apartments online and narrowed it down to the Domain and the Alexan... After visiting Domain we didn't even waste our time, literally grabbed some lunch and went back to sign the lease. It was hard having to go back to our other apartment because all we could think about was the stainless steel appliances, the beautiful backsplash, huge island, and NOOO carpet! Super dog friendly! Everyone has dogs and there is the cutest doggie park and plenty of surrounding areas to walk and take your pup out to play. A couple recommendations: -If you have the extra money, hire movers. I cannot stress this enough. Unless you have lots of family to help you, you will be exhausted walking up and down the halls with boxes and furniture. Or if you want to be a boss, you got this! -Although AT&T provides a two in one option modem/router get a stronger router maybe even a mesh network . "WIFI calling" will be your best friend due to the complex being a whole building concept, cell reception is poor. Foooood!! Lots and lots of food all around you, even in walking distance. There's not really a lot of bars in the area but the bar across the way is a lot of fun. Finally a complex that ALWAYS has parking. There's nothing worse then getting home late from work and there's no parking, with the spacious parking garage , you and your guest will always have a spot. Unfortunately where they are located is not ideal for my work, but they have continued to be amazingly helpful! Carina got me in contact with an apartment locator who has helped me overcome so many hurdles in my apartment search. Also, when I had an issue with another Greystar apartment complex and couldn't get help from that complex directly, these guys went above and beyond for me, knowing full well that I wasn't going to be a resident with them! I have never in my life experienced such quality customer service and if I ever change jobs or move to a more central part of Houston I wouldn't live ANYWHERE ELSE! I am so glad to have luxury apartments in this area. These high end apartments will definitely attract a demographic that will allow our neighborhood to continue to thrive. While I don't live at Domain West, I had to stop by since I am a neighbor - the amenities they are offering are outstanding and the interior of the homes are absolutely beautiful. My sister is actually looking to move into the area, and I will be sending her over there. Also, in regards to the parking garage; I did ask about it when I stopped by. The manager was very nice and explained to me that they are going to do something upon completion to make it less or an eye sore... however, I don't think it looks that bad, and I think that it's great that guests and residents will have plenty of parking and won't have to park on the streets. read more

Too many barking dogs in the balconies. Some residents leave their dogs out a lot. They bark/yap constantly disturbing the apartments residents and surrounding homes. Managment wasn't helpful on this subject. All it takes is one person leaving a barking dog outside. Especially higher levels. Even though most residents are responsible, just a few can make life difficult to live at this apartments. read more

Absolutely the worst place you can possibly move into, they don't clean the parking garage or the stairs they don't even have a number you can call for maintenance emergencies the gate is wide open making a super loud noise you call and they ask you to leave a voice message, I can't begin to tell you the absolute hell that is living at domain west if it's not the deafening fire alarms that happen 7 times a month, the gate that makes a beeping sound when stuck, the fact that they have no cameras in the parking garage I've had my car broken into, my motorcycle stolen, people have been murdered in the parking garage, they are quick to call u out and charge you fees if you don't keep ur end of the lease but they could care less about keeping theirs by maintaining the place clean or keeping the dog parks open, stairs clean. Be ready to be waken up at 8 am everyday by their super loud landscaping machines that just air broom the outside, maintenance is absolutely lethargic and rude they could care less what problems you have at your apartment. Moved in here with my pregnant wife and it's been hell, their ekey locked doors don't work anyone can come in off the street there's absolutely zero luxury the signs on the side of the building that say "luxury apartments"are rotting. Management and corporate could careless about ur emergency maintenance calls they ask you to leave a voice message and say they will "call you back" their doors are faulty the floors are weak you can hear every step the upstairs neighbor takes. read more

They are very polite and nice people. They know everybody in the building by their names, and make tenants feel welcome all the time. I just moved in and love it! It's just me and my dog, so we are in a one bedroom. It's super cute. I love the fact that I am moved into a brand new apartment. All the floors are wood, appliances are stainless steel and brand new. I love, love, love the workout room. They even have a yoga studio on the second floor. I also like that it is super close to the freeway and traffic outside is never bad. All the people in the office are super nice and made moving in way easy. read more

I am a current tenant and I would like to say that I deeply regret moving here. The apartments are very noisy. Once your lease is signed, the management does not care anymore. I went to complain about the noise and the management was very rude. The pool looks beautiful but everyone is a bit scared to use it because it is NOT cleaned often. We got skin rashes and the doctor told us that it comes from the pool. they have often fire drills Saturdays at 8.00am for 15 min. It has been a big disappointment especially since we moved from San Brisas Apartments because it was closer to my office. The management there is very helpful and takes their responsibilities very seriously. We never had any diseases with the pool there. read more

I Love to give a five star rating from leasing office staff, maintenance and I agree it is a luxury apartments. We sign our list when we are told that the Domain West is a smoke free apartments. It is a BIG mistake to trust your health to other people. On our first day until now since we email and inform the office management about the smoke seepage from other unit. Until now we did not get any help aside from telling us that there is no in-place policy about smoking from the office and no answer from email. If you love your Family and Yourself "YOUR HEALTH" think if this is the place you want to live. Having a large parking garage attached to where I live is not only convenient but makes me feel safe coming home late at night. Great place to live! The pool area is so pretty and even has outdoor kitchen with lots of tvs. Inside there is a game room with lots of tvs as well as pool table and free Starbucks coffee machine. There is also a video game room that even has Pacman. The staff in the leasing office are so friendly and helpful. There are lots of social events to meet the neighbors and have some drinks and snacks together. The apartments are new and have lovely kitchens. read more

i have lived at the domain for a few months now and overall it has been good except for this situation that happened last night. a middle aged man was found passed out in the hallway of my building unresponsive... he wasnt breathing. but had a pulse. a girl was giving him CPR and was able to revive him. long story short the man is okay now so my complaint is not against the entire complex but more against the pure negligence from the onsite police officer. He was called MULTIPLE times to the scene and did not come until another officer who was dispatched by 911 had arrived. The police officer from dispatch was amazing and professional and only when he called the onsite officer and said he would put on the report that he refused to help is when the onsite officer finally agreed to come assess the situation. When he finally arrived he simply did not care about the well-being or safety of the man that was visibly incoherent. He refused to call for an ambulance or to call anyone to help. He refused to take the man to the ER and he insisted that we leave this man ALONE..... and said repeatedly that it "was not his responsibility". If i am not mistaken , his DUTY as a police officer is to serve and protect. I back the blue 100% but this man does NOT need to be on the force at all. As his JOB it is his responsibility to insure the residents of the complex are safe.... after the interaction i and many others have had with this man, i do NOT feel safe at this complex. The residents are all friendly, the staff has been nice. But solely because the one person whose JOB it is to keep the building safe refused to do what he is being paid to do is why i am giving one star. And Yes, you will be hearing about this situation on the news due to how poorly it was handled... To the Domain West staff and Greystar Property Management, please i strongly suggest that this situation be investigated as well as the onsite police officer. This man could have very easily died if WE, the residents, had not intervened. This could have been a much more tragic event if WE, the residents, had not been there... and THAT is extremely concerning. read more

I've lived at Domain West for close to two years now and I have been very impressed with so many aspects of the property. The location cannot be beat, especially if you work in the Oil & Gas Industry. However, even being in the heart of the Energy Corridor, you also get the benefits of being in a Memorial neighborhood and within walking distance to Terry Hersey park. The complex itself is classy with top of the line amenities in every apartment. The finishings and amenities are truly top of the line. Maintenance is very responsive to requests and management along with the staff is the best I've seen at any complex I've lived at. The fact that the same staff has been around since I moved in says a lot! They are a fun group, they are easy to talk to and approach with any questions, concerns or issues you have. And they truly work to keep Domain a lovely place to live. I decided to downsize from a large two bedroom to a large one bedroom due to not using all of the space, and they made the transition not only seamless and easy, but were very accommodating to my needs and moving timelines. This is a great place and definitely one to be considered if you are looking in the area! read more

Domain West is a very nice place to live. The staff at Domain West is exceptional. Everyone is very friendly and eager to assist in any way possible. If an issue is out of the staff's control, they will do whatever is within their means to accommodate the tenant. I speak from personal experience. I dealt with an issue for 2 months, but it was not a normal issue. The staff made sure that I was compensated for those 2 months. Then there is Blaine! He is like the best non-delivery but delivery notification guy that ever existed. As soon as a package is delivered; he sends an email to me. I feel super special because I get the email so promptly but I am sure he does it for all residents. Even the property manager interacts with the residents. Kelly is willing to help just like the rest of her staff. It is refreshing because I have lived places where management stays in their office unless they absolutely have to come out. Kristen is the assistant manager and she ROCKS as well. Carinna has a bubbly personality and seems to be always smiling. Lastly, the location is ideal for many reasons. You are right by I-10 and the Beltway. City Centre is a hop, skip, and a jump away and so is Memorial City. read more
