THEY SAW ME COMING!! we used to have a guy friend who…read morehelped us with car related things. sadly, he passed away 2 yrs ago. another guy friend was upset that we didn't ask him first, before buying a car here. he said he would have never allowed us to....i had been renting a uhaul for longer than i wanted to, because it is a lot cheaper than a car rental. when i saw a cool little 2 door vehicle pop up "for sale" in my facebook feed, i got excited, because the price was right for us. went down to the listed address, , did a very brief test drive. after the owners son went back into the garage, we looked under the hood. had a question about something minor, and went in to ask him about it. he dramatically sighed LOUDLY, then stomped out back to the car, angrily answered my ?, then left quickly. i understand being busy, but golly gee whiz, batman! we really should have shopped around a bit, but i was so desperate to just get a damned car. whelp, like i said... they saw me coming. i should have at LEAST googled the kelly blue book value on it but, alas.... did not. LESSON LEARNED. prior to this, i had always just bought cars out of people's driveways, so this was my first car lot auto purchase. guessing i assumed this would assure better quality. they had a very limited warantee, was it 30 days? 90? "what we have to have, legally", i was informed. well, we recently took it off the road, because it is too small for our needs. very cool, but very cramped. i have scars on my leg, from the drivers side door NOT staying open when hopping in. if you open it wider, it opens to the point where you have to UNBUCKLE the seat belt, to jump out to pull it inward! AAARGH! don't get me started about the SEAT BELTS!! (Alllll over the place) i am on a facebook page for this car,and just learned i paid WAAAAY more than the actual value of it. (7000.00 plus) the garage where i just bought a buick regal, from looked up the value of the tiny car, and told me it is worth 3000.000 to 3800, tops. they were first to suggest that i got screwed. according to one facebook car guru, with the mileage on it now, i will be lucky to get 1500 for it as it is. (needs a wheel bearing) they all nicely let me know that THEY SAW ME COMING. if you buy a car here, people... DO YOUR HOMEWORK, know the actual value. it really IS a cool little car, only driven locally, for one year. we just foolishly paid waaaay to much. so hoping/thinking to get the listed value quoted by my mechanic, and lick my wounds. your results might be different with this place-i wish you luck. just do your homework.
