Exactly one year ago I purchased a 2021 Subaru from North Country Subaru, and should have walked away then given the oddly misogynist comments made by my sales rep (to say nothing of the racist, anti Asian comments I witnessed), but now a year later I have come to realize that the "new" tires they put on my car as part of the sale now ALL have to be replaced to pass inspection. This is my second review for this business. There are 2 parts too purchasing a vehicle. The actual loving and buying a car. And the service. The purchase of the car went smoothly. 2 years now have gone by. I cannot get an appointment booked that isn't more than a month for scheduled service. Today for the second time my window won't go up. They worked on it in October. Today I called and was told an appointment for a window on a new car that won't go up can be made in January. All thanks to North Country Subaru service department. We bought two cars from them in 2020, and one of them had a problem today when we were traveling on a 5 hour trip to get to the airport. They understood the urgency of the situation, and fielded my call from the highway and brought the vehicle right in and ran diagnostics and got me out of there. My 17 Outback needed a wheel bearing, some front end suspension parts and interior trim repair. They gave us a loaner when the appointment went long, and they honored their estimate. Their price was ultimately less than our local expert - because they cured issues he could not diagnose. They even fixed a part he broke while trying to get the wheel bearing off. (he paid, so fair) I wanted to use the local expert. I was wrong, and my wife knows it, lol. We think they did a great job. read more

Back in October, 2021 while on vacation I stopped by to test drive a new 2022 Outback Wilderness. Even though I was NOT going to purchase the car from North Country because I live in Georgia, they still let me test drive the OWNERS wilderness (they didn't have a Wilderness available besides the owners). The sales person, Dakota, took the time to arrange the test drive and answer all my questions, AGAIN fully knowing I would be buying my car in Georgia. What dealership does that?!!!! Never have I ever had a better experience purchasing a car than with North Country Subaru. From the time we drove onto the property we were impressed. The signs told us where to park and we had absolutely no pressure from sales people. We looked around the lot at our leisure and when we were ready to try a car we had a salesman, Patrick, ready to help us. We tested several cars and found the one we wanted. Patrick clearly explained the procedure, gave us an extremely generous trade-in price and within an hour we were on our way. When I picked up the car Ashley led me through the financing paperwork with extreme courtesy and efficiency. Patrick spent a lot of time showing me the basics of the car and how to operate all the safety features and a few of the bells and whistles. We just bought a car from Ashley Sorrell. She is amazing!!! So relaxed, nice, genuine and honest. She did whatever she had to, to make the deal work for us...not just for her. We never in any way, shape, or form felt uncomfortable or like she was trying to push us into buying. My mom and I went alone, and any female knows how intimidating buying cars can be because it is typically a "men's game". With Ashley, and really all the staff at North Country, we were not looked at as "just two dumb women". The deal process was totally pain and stress free. In the time we were there (four hours), the staff detailed the car inside and out, gave me a full tank of gas, and an oil change. I've gotten cars from other dealers where the process has been spaced out over a few days and the car still was not detailed by the time I took it home (and a full tank of gas is unheard of!). I mean, the whole experience was SO great from start to finish, unlike any other dealer I've dealt with. Ashley went above and beyond. I highly recommend any women buyers go to North Country and see Ashley. And also anyone else who just wants a pleasant, easy car buying experience. We will be back for sure!!!
