Boy Hero 6050 Babcock St. SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909 4.5-Stars I have great disdain for anyone bragging they are from New York City, the land of crappy pizza and cut corners. I firmly believe virtually all Italian restaurants in Brevard suck because NYC transplants own them. That said, the exception to this is Boy Hero. Chef Michael Di Bella from The Big Apple runs this joint. According to their website, Michael has 25 years of restaurant experience with several of his places ranging from [my favorite (not)] New York Pizza Shops to slinging the fine dining nosh in South Florida." Boy Hero is Chef Michael's take on standard street grub found in places from Philadelphia to Havana, Cuba and most points in between. Michael runs this hash house personally, and that, my friends, is the way EVERY place should be run. Like all good managers, he has surrounded himself with highly competent staff. I would even go so far as to say that every employee reflects Michael himself and how he envisions Boy Hero. This place was designed to be the new go-to for delivery/take-out in the area and, as such, has limited inside seating. This is not a bad thing, just a thing. I put in an order for one Bronx S.P.O. Hero, a Double-Double, and one Brew Dog--Hero Style. I snapped a few shots of the interior, sat back, and relaxed a bit while awaiting my order. My foodstuff was ready within what seemed like moments (I was so relaxed in this sparse yet warm environs). Picking it up at the counter, I returned to one of the seven tables, opened it, and snapped some pictures. As you can see, everything looks well-made, fresh, and delicious. If these pictures could emanate an odor, your olfactory senses would be saccadic in their gathering of information. The Bronx S.P.O consisted of one of the freshest sweet Italian sausages I have had. The bell peppers and onions were sauteed to perfection and the accompanying Provolone was the icing on the cake. I can't forget the bun. This bread was exceptional and toasted to a perfect golden brown. I forced myself to put this delectable delight down and moved on to the Double-Double. This is your stock double cheeseburger, but man, was this stock of a different caliber. The patties were hand-formed, seasoned and grilled to perfection. The veggies were fresh, hand sliced and I found the house sauce to be a unique take on Thousand Island dressing. Once again, this would all be moot if the bun sucked. It did not. It was on par with the Bronx S.P.O. Bun. This was an outstanding burger, the only down side were the fries. The fries were OK, but nowhere near the quality of the rest of the provender, hence the loss of .5 in the rating. Sadly, this brings me to the final item to be sampled, the Hero Style Brew Dog. This was a natural casing all-beef jumbo 8" dog simmered in Sam Adams Boston Lager. The dog is then grilled and served on a Martin Potato Bun. Hero Style adds crispy fried onions, pepper jack cheese, house sauce and bacon. Read that description again and tell me you are not drooling. Yes, it's that good. Chef Di Bella obviously cares about the food he serves and the quality that goes into it. The Big Boy says, "This is a MUST try."

    Double Double, Wings

The Double Double add bacon was spiritual. Thursday night at like 8:30 I'm getting that quality hats off.

    Mini cannolis

Best burger we've had around here!! This area looked a little sketchy at first, but it's worth trying! Definitely a casual atmosphere. We ordered the double-double burger & the gyro. Both came with fries. Everything was delicious!! I asked for no tomatoes and no onions on the gyro, but they added them. They later remembered that their mistake and offered us cannolis! I commend them for making it right and the great experience. We'll be back!

    Loaded Fries

I wish I found this place sooner. Food not only had a beautiful presentation, but tasted amazing and great service! I finally found my late night food spot!

Weird atmosphere in the restaurant and just "ok" sandwich. I didn't hate the food just not worth the long wait and weird vibe.

Ok. First of all this is a small establishment. And we must understand how things are, Specially…read morefor small businesses in our economy vs franchise Crap!! . Second i give the chicken 4 stars it was very good, crispy juicy and well cooked. I had the shrimp as well a little over priced but good flavor. The biscuits we ok, A little small but the honey butter makes up for whats left to desire. The wings were very-good the cajun sweet'n sour sauce was good although it came from a bottle, very tasty. Lets stop bashing our local businesses and instead lets support them. Check your attitude before you go into a establishment because you are playing with someones future. Yelp on! Will come back.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more When it comes to fried chicken restaurants within South Brevard, we are limited in our choices if you don't include fried chicken cooked and served in Publix or New York Style Chinese Food restaurants. Ergo, Krispy Krunchy Chicken (which I will shorthand simply to Krispy Krunchy for the remainder of this review) is a bit of an anomaly. Reason why I say the aforementioned about Krispy Krunchy is the fact they are not big enough to have their own brick-n-mortar location, but they are technically an independent business despite piggy-backing space at gas stations and convenient stores. But don't get it twisted. Despite only being based inside of said gas stations and convenience stores, Krispy Krunchy makes some decent fried chicken, both on-the-bone which is primarily drumsticks and shoulders, and tenders. Not only that, they have a decent set of sides that can make dining from Krispy Krunchy a complete meal for the family. Though an address is provided, Krispy Krunchy is located in Diya Food Store within a strip mall on Jupiter Blvd. You have to go inside the convenience store to order their food as it is treated as part of the "food options" of the convenience store. Nevertheless, the food you get for the price you pay, not bad at all. There is fried chicken, biscuits, potato wedges, jambalaya, macaroni n' cheese, red beans and rice, mashed potatoes and gravy, and more. They even have empanadas and other goodies, too, but I stuck with the basic chicken dinner fixins'. The price for 12 pieces of chicken, three sides, six biscuits was about $30. Not bad at all given its locale and the nearest official fried chicken place is Popeoye's at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Palm Bay Rd. Ultimately, I am going to give Krispy Krunchy Chicken a solid three-out-of-five stars for their rating. Krispy Krunchy is a solid choice for fried chicken fast food in the area for a decent price. Definitely not better than some higher-end choices, but still good.

FRIED CHICKEN: 12 pieces of drumsticks and shoulders. There were two tenders because they ran out of on-bone chicken.
