This place is an absolute gem! The owners and staff are super friendly and were helpful in assisting us picking our orders. It has a great history and ambiance with lots of antiques and old local photos. The food was absolutely amazing! Burger meat is a high quality mix of brisket and some other grass fed meat. Burger was just a very solid and classic burger. The grilled cheese had plenty of roast beef and was perfectly buttery and crisp. Sides were yummy too! I think my personal favorite was the NY style pizza. Pepperoni was perfectly crisp, nice thin crust, great sauce and cheese. We will definitely be back!! read more

We traveled to this area for a wedding, and found Boyce General Store after Friday night arrival, and just before it closed. What a fun place! Perfect for a Friday night informal gathering. Pizza (gluten-free crust available) Bottomless Soft Drinks, Loaded Fries (my favorite) and more. The staff was very friendly and efficient. My friends and I rented an Airbnb behind Boyce's general store and we could smell what we thought was fried chicken, but it turned out to be fried catfish. Food was great. This little jewel is around the corner from our Old Kentucky Home in Alvaton, Kentucky. It just reopened and we were excited to have it back. We love meeting the locals. Congratulations on the opening of your restaurant! We visited the store tonight and really enjoyed the enthusiasm of your team. The food was great, the atmosphere was very welcoming. We have really missed being able to eat dinner at the Boyce General Store. Our group had the Manhattan Beef, lasagna and the 5 cheese grilled cheese and enjoyed our meals. One of the owners was very excited and had us sample a piece of pizza and a chicken wing. We bought a pizza Togo and will be back in a few days for some wings. The pizza and wings were full of flavor as was everything else we tried. We look forward to many visits! Now go get some rest! read more

I would move to Boyce just for this place. Immediately you feel like you've walked into an old friend's house. Everyone seems to know everyone. There are lots of greetings and hugs. But that's not the best part...the food is amazing. I don't think you can go wrong but here are my thoughts on what you should get. Pig-mento Burger. Hands down best burger! Fried Bologna Sandwich-Yummo! I think I would like the bread toasted. Chicken tenders- these are real chicken strips. Honestly unless you only eat chicken I wouldn't get these. They aren't bad but it's chicken strips. We didn't get pie. We were full and on the road. I'm sad about it. This quaint eatery is just about perfect! read more

Boyce General Store is a great little secret that's tucked just outside of Bowling Green Kentucky, and it's a place where all the locals in the area come for authentic home cooking and dessert. Today I visited Boyce and had their Hot Chicken sandwich and it was on par with Chick-fil-a in the taste category (my only complaint was the breading wanted to fall off but it was easily fixed with my fingers haha) while the fries were fresh and the service friendly. Another benefit about Boyce is their dessert with one of the owners being titled the Pie Queen of Bowling Green, and let me tell you they didn't disappoint the Apple pie pop tart and small individual pies are all delicious. Boyce is a must visit if in the Bowling Green Area. read more

We decided to check out this place since we were going to be in the area picking up supplies from the Amish. The place looks like an old country store with gas. A pop through the front or side door tells you right away this is a place to Eat! There are cooler cases with drinks and milk with shelves for bread and some other things to buy. Super cool shelves down both sides of walls and all the way to the ceiling filled with nostalgic and antiquey pieces. The food is sandwiches and taters several ways for lunch and breakfast with all the fixings. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Live bands on scheduled days. Few miles from town but worth the drive. Please note..bathroom is a small one room for both genders. read more

Absolutely amazing food! The owners and staff that run the restaurant seem to be the kindest and most loving family ever... They make every customer feel as if you are their family as well! These guys ROCKED MY WEDDING!! Everyone one went gaga over the food! True southern cooking with fresh fried chicken, catfish, fried corn and biscuits.. only to name a few of the delights. Living in colorado for the past two years I have more than longed for memory of true southern cooking. I was not disappointed nor were my guests of 70+ who wouldn't stop asking where they could get more of the amazing food! My only regret is not ordering their desserts for my menu!
