Great food and atmosphere! Love the 80's theme. My boys love the Kevin Bacon Burger. Will definitely go back.

Loved it here! From the friendly service, the fun environment, to the delicious food (and we had a party of 5 and all 5 of us were so satisfied!) Atomic Kitchen will be a repeat stop for us! I got the fried green tomato burger and it's changed my life! Side of onion rings = amazingggggg! My husband and son got the Deloran and both had rave reviews! My daughter got the kids cheese burger and my other got the Darth grilled cheese and both ate everything (which all parents know is a miracle in itself). Now, why the 4 Stars instead of 5? Good question- the only reason is because of the milkshakes. We got 2 Oreo and 1 Reese's. The Oreos looked pretty, but hardly had any Oreo. That was pretty disappointing. I honestly wouldn't have called it Oreo, OR I would have thought the business was trying to save money on the lack of Oreo. Desserts might seem like an afterthought, but we take ours pretty seriously lol. Great place! Friendly staff! Delicious burgers! Subpar shakes. Hopefully they make those better next time. read more

Very nice building and decor. 80's theme is very well done. TVs are showing 80s sitcoms and cartoons. They have some vintage arcade games that entertain children while waiting for food. The menu is well rounded with lots of options. I chose boneless Buffalo strips and fries. Very tasty with perfect amount of heat for me. Out waiter was very courteous and was willing to split a child's meal so 2 young ones could share. We will probably go here monthly in the future. read more

I loved this place. 80's music playing and 80's tv shows and movies playing on all the TV's. Stopped in Bowling Green for a late lunch while traveling today. I ordered the Kevin Bacon Jam Burger with fries and Atomic Bomb Sauce and Chipotle Aioli for dipping. The food was excellent and paired well with a White Squirrel Nut Brown beer. This is one of those themed restaurants, as such we usually avoid these. Nostalgia lovers will love this place. The place is located in Stadium Park Plaza in Bowling Green, KY Even though it's a themed centered place, we thought we would give it a try, while we were visiting Western Kentucky University. We stared off with appetizers, I had the Pac Man Pickle's, which are deep fried, and they come with the house-made ranch. My wife had Strange Brew, which is the house beer cheese with pretzels and is made from local White Squirrel Breweries Brown Ale. For our main selection; I had the Big Red Rutgers Burger which was created from the 80 Basketball season at WKU. This consist of a double patty with double cheese, bacon, onion rings, and with the house homemade sweet and sassy BBQ sauce, plus all the fixings. My wife had the Kevin Bacon Jam Burger. It is a single patty Single with cheese and a house made special bacon jam on top. Bacon jam is a sweet and savory treat and pairs well with the all beef patty. It defends takes one back to the 1980s college days. The place does have an upbeat and great atmosphere and combined with great service makes this an excellent stop in Bowling Green, it was very crowed when we were there. read more

The sweet heat peach wings were amazing, Kevin Bacon burger, bbq burger and grilled cheese were all exceptional. The ambience, theme, decor and menu are fun! The hamburgers are so good. However, this was our second visit and the second time that sides came out cold and soggy and filled with grease. Sadly, I was up charged two dollars to have onion rings and couldn't eat it. I'd have sent it back to be redone, Had the waitress come back to check on us after dropping the food. We waited a long time to get the order taken as well. We never got any refills on drinks and she never asked if we needed anything else so I could never return that food and I was still charged for it. Sadly, the service is super slow and not good at all. And they were not that busy in there either. If I were you, I would only go there for the burgers, both times the burgers were fantastic, but that was about it. My husband had the limited time sub special, but honestly says If you wanna meatball sub go to Subway! read more

This was my first time having dinner at this restaurant. It was pretty slow for a Wednesday night around 6:30. The service was okay; the server performed their job in a timely manner. However, everyone at the table (all six of us) suspected that our server might have been high. They managed to do their job, but it was clear that something was off. I ordered the Kevin Bacon burger, and it was just average--nothing special. The fries that came with it were on the salty side. Overall, it was a decent experience. The vibe definitely had an 80s throwback feel. I would come back to try something different next time. read more

I really wanted this review to be better. Me and my wife came in for dinner. Thursday about 4 pm. The staff was top notch. Love the decor and concept. If the food was better it would be a hit for a long time. We had the Delorean double with ky disco fries and Axel Fowley with onion rings. My wife had a sensitivity to spicy or hot. Not sure how or why but the burger lite her up. I tried it and it had a kick. Nothing listed causes a kick. The chicken sandwich was ok. For us and 2 other parties we just started talking to as we were walking out of restaurant , for all 12 of us including my self the atomic sauce is a 2/10. You would be better off with ketchup. That said if it wasn't on top of the gravy on the fries they would have been better. Th only thing I can honestly hype up is the onion straws. 10/10. Great concept, great location, I hope the creator of the atomic sauce doesn't let pride from making a better sauce. read more

The overall experience was well. The food wasn't above and beyond but we were not disappointed. The food came out very quick. Although, we did order an appetizer and it never came out. Once the check came it wasn't billed so maybe they just forgot. I'm not upset though. The food was good for the price. The music is kind of loud inside but it's not something that bothers us. read more

For it being a soft open, it was a good experience! The menu is amazing as it is very good to see that I would want to try most things and was hard to make a choice. Food was tasty, I had the wingman and really enjoyed it, the chicken was moist and juicy, the breading crunchy. We also had a Big Melty, Rocket Man and a Delorian Double. The server was a tad slow and never cleared our servings once we were through (big pet peeve of mine). We will be coming back after they have had time to work out the kinks. Great job! read more

It's a fun little place tucked in the back on seventh Street near the ballpark. Everything is 80s themed all the way down to the menu items.

Can't say enough good things! The food BOMB. The atmosphere AWESOME. The staff THE BEST. I love coming here and have tried almost everything on the menu! As a picky eater... let me tell you this spot is soooo yummy!!!! I tried things I never would order and loved it! The space balls and animal style fries especially (and no they are nothing like the yucky animal STYLE fries off in and outs nasty secrete menu) these are based off animal from muppets and have their special bacon jam sauce!! If it takes awhile to get your food like I see others claim.. it's because it's being made with love! SERIOUSLY!!! read more

Beyond the music and the theme of the restaurant and the cute names on the menu that's about as good as this place gets for me. We were there for an early Friday night dinner and maybe only two other tables. French fries were tough and cold. Onion rings were mostly breading. The guys said they were content with their burgers, but not the sides. My daughter ordered the smooth criminal and wasn't overly excited. Said if she was to come back, she would probably ordered a burger, but probably won't return due to the sides not being very good. I ordered the special for September pork nachos. Very mediocre!! Definitely not worth the $14. Worst of all the waitress could have cared less because she never came back to ask about how our food was. She was more interested in talking to the other workers at the bar. Kind of sad because I see this place of having so much potential. read more

We thought we'd try Atomic on a Saturday. We arrived around 440 and there was about a 10 min wait. We were sat and greeted quickly. We ordered the pretzel with beer cheese. It took over 30 mins to get our appetizer. We saw other tables who were seated after us receive their food well before we did. I had to ask about our appetizer status multiple times. My thought is, our server forgot but she blamed the kitchen. Our food came about 15 mins after our pretzels. The food had great flavor. It is heavy though. The atmosphere is fun and nostalgic. I'm not convinced it's worth the trip all the way downtown for us. read more

Food is good if you have time to wait. 1st visit took an hour from order to table (table of 2). 2nd visit we waited an hour for our table (party of 12), and after an hour we were told another 45 minutes to an hour. We couldn't do that so we left. Saw many leaving saying food wasn't bad but it took forever. Really hoping this place can fix their kitchen. Food was excellent, one of the better fried chicken sandwiches I've had, big portions and a lot of flavor but nothing too overwhelming. Ambiance great, servers fine, but we never got our food. Didn't expect much during soft open, but did expect to get our food at some point. After 1 1/2 hours we gave up. Several managers stopped by to check, and we never saw them again, including our waitress. When we gave up and paid bar tab, we're told to "have a nice night." We are hungry lol. Hopefully things will smooth out, others seemed to enjoy their dinner. read more

I was looking forward to the type food being offered at this new restaurant but on stepping thru the front door I was immediately hit with a wave of nausea and dizziness due to the volume of the music. If you have any audio-sensory issues and for some of you with autism this place is not for you. I suspect the food would have been pretty good. read more

We tried to eat dinner here tonight. We were told there was a 45-50 minute wait. After 45 minutes we came in and checked and were told there was one group of 4 in front of us. After about 15 minutes we went back in to check and found that our name had been marked off the list. When I asked, the hostess told me she'd called three times. I had no missed calls. She read my phone number back to me and she had the number wrong. She never apologized, just looked annoyed and told us we would be seated next. When a different woman came to sit us at our table I said, "Hey, I just want to let you know that the hostess had our phone number wrong and instead of stepping outside to call our name she just marked us off the list." She turned to me and very rudely told me she was up there with her and that the hostess had called 3 times and she went outside and called our name. We were sitting right outside the door. No one came outside. As I am telling her this she shushed me multiple times and tried to talk over me. When I told her she wasn't going to shush me, she told me I wasn't going to speak to her that way and that she would get her manager. The manager, I will say, was professional. She apologized and explained that the woman who had shushed me was the OWNER'S WIFE! I truly couldn't believe it. The entire time the manager is speaking to us the owner's wife is walking around setting up other tables near us and laughing and smirking. We decided that anyone who would treat their husband's customers and his business that way didn't deserve our money and left. We will never go back again. read more
