Hurricane destroyed our a/c unit and finally getting our check, contacted Boyd Brothers for a new unit since ours had gotten destroyed. Our salesman checked our home first to see which unit would be more adequate. He found a few and then explained the pros and cons of each one. After settling on one, the arrangements were made, and they arrived two days later for the install, Each member of the team was extremely polite, friendly, and more efficient than words can describe. Boyd Brothers is simply the best! I had a complete new system installed by them in 2016. I bought the best system they had. Lots of electronics and gadgets. From time to time a glitch has happened and all it takes is a simple call and a tech comes over in a more than acceptable time frame. As I stated it is a high tech system and it's comforting knowing that these guys are so knowledgeable. Plus if they do something puzzling they can call the factory tech support line. I was scheduled to have a new AC unit installed last Monday. I took a day off work to be home to have the work done. I was told by the salesman, Dustin, that the crew would call before they arrived. The installation crew never called and never showed up to do the work. I called the office at 10:30 am. The woman who answered said " oh I heard them talking about you this morning and Dustin will call you." Well he never did. I tried his cell phone. He never answered and his voice mail box was full. I wrote a complaint on their web site that evening and still no one has contacted me. Don't use this company. They obviously don't care about their customers. read more

IN Sept 2011 I purchased a $ 7,000.00 plus Carrier AC system from Boyd Brothers. This is in a vacation home and is only used when we are there, and only when it is cold. In Nov. 2011 when we first returned to the South it did not work. The unit needed 15 lbs refrigerant. 2 weeks later it did not work, they replaced a coil. since then 3 more service calls and every time out of refrigerant. The last time Nov. 18 2013 they replaced an oring and the refrigerant and presented me with a $ 700.00 plus bill. This AC unit has less than 6 DAYS OPERATION ON IT. I believe 4 times it was checked for leaks and filled 4 times. Boyd Brothers do not care that they attempted to repair it numerous times. They do expect the customer to pay for their failure to fix the problem. The customer should not have to pay for their lack of compentenance. 3-4 attempts to fix the same problem a leak, is bad enough. Expecting the customer to pay for it shows their lack of customer support, and a total disregard for professional pride. read more
