Inside burnt down in 2020 but the owner keeps his spirits high and maintains a high quality food truck serving all the coffee drinks and some dope pastries. We got the caramel latte cold and dark roast coffee and man the quality of Boyers roast is evident. Spent an afternoon on their beautiful little patio (has 4 four top tables with umbrellas and some extra seating available too) Owner said probable re-opening of the cottage in 2 yrs but the roastery re-opened a couple miles down Washington and they do tours! read more

I have tried several coffee shops in the area and this is truly one of the best! I ordered a chai latte and a pastry and both were great.

Overall okay. Baristas were nice, coffee was good, and the shop itself had a rather halfway industrial, halfway homely feel to it. Couches and chairs were comfortable and allowed for prolong sitting and working. I ordered a latte. Not the greatest latte art but I don't care as much about that as I do the drink itself. My complaints include: 1) WiFi. They use Yelp! WiFi, which has tons of issues with trying to use Facebook to login. I eventually gave up and punched in my phone number, but then at some point i was disconnected and could not reconnect because my number of connection attempt limits was reached. Ended up leaving early and going to a different coffee shop. No bueno. 2) Hardly any outlets. I sat in the upstairs area with my laptop and the only outlets that were available were from an extension cord coming from the ground level through the railing. Aside from just meeting friends, people like myself like to sit down at coffee shops to get work done so having easily reachable outlets is pretty important. Plus the longer I stay the more coffee I buy. Overall, I'd say this place is mostly good for stopping in and picking items up rather than prolonged stays for getting work done. read more

Boyers is well worth the little drive up I-25 for me and I would recommend it as a quick stop or a place to set up and work or study for anyone who lives of works nearby. The setup itself is large and has two levels of seating inside. The coffee selection allows something for everyone and if you're into chai, they had three on the menu the morning I popped in. They also have two cases full of sandwiches, salads and pastries. Although they don't make the pastries in house, they do get delivered every other day from High Point and Handcraft. I happened to ask if they have powdered vanilla and was inspired to order my version of an iced vanilla americano. This is a favorite drink of mine from college days. The espresso shots are stirred into the power to make it creamy and rich without the milk. It's basically the best drink ever. They made it to perfection. I also grabbed a prepackaged salad and sugar cookie. Everything hit the spot and the young gals behind the counter were very friendly. read more

Very DISAPPOINTED. I understand the server was just doing her job but when I asked for my free coffees that I get with my purchase every year, she said we don't give free coffee. I explained about getting a free coffee. NO free coffee from this server and it's Christmas no thanks for a loyal customer. Very disappointed. We stop in on the way home from a job back in 2006 and really like the coffee from that time on we started buy coffee for gifts at Christmas every year. We would stop and buy over a hundred dollars in bags of coffee and was always offered a free drip of the day loved it. This year I bought my bags of coffee and then asked server for a free coffee she said that they were only offering free coffee if I had a toy to donate. I then said we have always been given a free coffee with our purchase. And it Christmas so no free coffee. I was very disappointed. Intro:Located on the fringes of the industrial and barren undeveloped edges of commerce city, a few miles away from the city of Thornton lies a brown brick building with an old world charm you would find in down town Denver. Parking 5/5 : Small but ample, people are usually in and out of the location so the spots are constantly opening up. Inside 5/5: The hardwood floors are restored wood from an old school house gym that was torn down. The inside looks like an English study complete with book cases lining the walls and two levels of seating. A lovely quiet ambiance perfect for getting some work done, or reading a book. Coffee 5/5: Their coffee is a game changer, I love getting their creative specialty roast which when brewed fill the room with a delicious sweet aroma depending on which you get. I started with the Denver blend, then hazelnut which got me into their limited edition marshmallow blend. Sweet, vanilla sugar smell entice the senses. Mild, light, flavorful, almost needs no cream the coffee alone is so flavorful that you don't want to ruin it by adding artificial sweeteners or creamers. I also picked up a Latte just coffee, steamed milk, skim milk and dash of cinnamon. It was super creamy and well balanced, Starbucks doesn't even come close. Service 4/5: Decent, quick and efficient. Only location since 1965. Cold brew doesn't taste as fruity as I'd like but it's way out of its league when comparing it to Starbucks. Oh and you get free refills!!! They serve your usual pastries like bagels, scones, and tarts too. There's a couple to go sandwiches and salads if you're hangry. What stands out is the amount of seating space. Seems like a great place to study, since there are several small tables and lounge-y spaces. I'd definitely be here more often if I were a local. read more

This place is so cool! Outstanding place to work all day, catch up with a friend, as well as have a business meeting (groups and 1:1s). They have a large table downstairs that seats about 6 or so people. Two-seater tables are made from coffee barrels and other decor includes vintage coffee contraptions - such a fun sight to admire. There are comfy waiting room-style seats downstairs and a lounge upstairs for more relaxed, casual and private settings. There's also on outdoor patio with umbrellas so you can work outside, too! WiFi still works out there. Their chai tea is outstanding - one of the yummiest I've ever had. Limited food selection - just pastries and some prepackaged foods. Prepackaged food comes from etais which is really yummy. Don't wait too late in the day to grab food, as they run out even by 1pm. Some burrito options, too. Their warehouse & what seems to be corporate office is behind the coffee shop, which is really cool. They have glass doors so you can see into the warehouse. Nice craft coffee vibe. I stopped by here a couple of days ago with my wife and her parents for our morning coffee. Whenever I entered I was surprised at how large Boyers Coffee Company was. There was tons of seating on both the first and second floor with traditional tables as well as leather seats. They had a number of different coffees available and a ton more along bookshelf like walls to purchase. Last but not least their coffee bar was large and contained some interesting devices over top of some chemex vessels. On this day I decided to go with my usual drink and so ordered a large Americano. The coffee here was pretty good as it was strong, smooth and left a nice aftertaste on the palette. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed my coffee here and am interested to see how that machine interacted with the chemex vessels. read more

This is review is not about Boyer's coffees or even the café. Our complaint is based upon the cafe's customer service. The young girls who work there (and for some reason, only females work at the café now), are very pleasant and will prepare your drink as ordered. But our complaint is as follows: The café sells the locally baked Outrageous Baking gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free individual bread slices. Outrageous Baking offers 6 different flavors. For a very short while, they sold the Chocolate Zucchini breads slices which is the company's second best seller behind the Lemon Poppy Seed. But one day, they abruptly stopped selling the Chocolate Zucchini flavor. The manager contended that they did not sell but we know this not to be true because we frequented Boyer's Café and bought 2-3 slices at a time. Many times, though the other flavored slices were in the case, they were out of the Chocolate Zucchini slices. Despite the fact that we, and we know others, who have asked that they stock the Chocolate Zucchini slices again, they refused. When I pressed the manager as to why she would not consider re-stocking that flavor she said, "We" don't really like that flavor. "We" meaning you who work there? "Yes." What kind of customer service is that?! It is a simple request but because a couple of employees who work there (ostensibly) don't like the flavor, consumers be damned?! That is a self-defeating way to treat customers. read more

I am a coffee lover and fortunately I have got it down to only a cup in the morning. Therefore, this cup becomes the most important cup of the day. I have tried all sorts of beans from our local supermarkets... everything from organic Fair Trade beans, to Folgers. But our local Denver coffee roaster Boyer, really stood out to me. I really enjoyed the taste, texture and erotic smoothness (I just put that erotic thing in there to keep your attention). It is weird, because even though I am a coffee fan, I am not that picky about my coffee, but this roast stuck out so much that it made me want to pay more attention to roasts and tastes. They are a local company, so I feel like I am keeping money in the community, but their beans are not local and they are not Fair Trade, and that is a big issue these days. Fair Trade for coffee farmers means community development, health, education, and environmental stewardship... And with so much land stripping and unfair payments abroad, it is important to pay attention to these business strategies as a company. * Star one for being a local roaster ** Smooth oohhh ahhh star two is for a great flavor *** You go beans star three is for making a presence in the coffee business... A hard industry to break into Sad to say that the last stars were drained due to the Fair Trade thing... The espresso drinks were absolutely delicious! I had just a regular cappuccino and my friend had some mint latte thing. We lounged in some comfy seats in the cafe. There is a ton of space to sit and chat or sit and work whatever your coffee house desires are. I also appreciated the huge parking lot! I was worried that we would have issues finding parking here but there was no shortage of spaces available. The architecture of this building is gorgeous as well and lends itself well to a relaxing inviting atmosphere. Oh and they carry lots of gluten free options in the bread and sweets area! The only reason For 4 instead of 5 stars was because we weren't asked if our order was for here or to go.... and we would have preferred mugs rather than paper cups.... partly because I would have loved to get a nice photo of the coffees for yelp, and also because its nice to sit and sip coffee from a good old fashioned mug during the winter. read more

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, even striking up some small talk after we order our drinks. The atmosphere is so laid back and comfortable, the decor and seating are to die for as well. I'm not in college anymore, but as soon as I go back to grad school this will definitely be my go-to study spot. The coffee is delicious and expertly roasted, but by far my most favorite drink on the menu is the Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte! I get it every single time we come here, it's unlike any other iced chai latte you've had before. It's creamy and sweet, and oh so addictive. Came here on my way to an interview and the barista that took my order was really nice. She suggested an Italian Soda which I ordered AND loved it!! The inside of the coffee shop was great and clean. I like the window where you can look into their production room. What I didn't like is the location - in the middle of some industrial yuckiness. Coffee is good but the barista was very short with me for me being a first time customer. She seemed annoyed that I did not know what I wanted right away. BEST LATTE IVE EVER HAD. I always get an iced lavender latte, and it is always blows every single other latte out of the water. Of note, the lattes do have a very strong espresso flavor, which is exactly why I like them. I also really like them because they have a strong lavender flavor. If your someone who gets lavender lattes (if you're not you should try one) you know that plenty of times you can't even really taste the lavender. Their lattes makes all other lattes disappointing. The workers are also always very pleasant, so make sure you tip them. The only thing that saddens me is that they're not open Sunday's (hoping that's just a covid thing). Covid review: what's currently open is a coffee truck that they serve out of- so you are never inside. The workers are always wearing their masks properly, I've never even noticed a nose poking out... which, I can't say about pretty much any other place I've been during covid. This place is pretty cool. I had to bring my car in down the street (1 mile away) and walked here. Was a little worried, since I was walking along and across the highways, that the place would be closed when I got here. However, it is large and lively. Pretty good amount of seats, lots of people on their computers and reading or meeting up with others. There is a large community table for about 8-10 people, which is pretty cool, but a little loud. Plenty of parking spaces out front. As for the coffee/food...I ordered an iced mocha since I just walked in the 90° weather to get there. I asked for light ice, but clearly got more than half of it filled with ice...I'm scared to know how much ice they usually use. I was excited when I asked if they had coconut milk and the answer was yes. WHOOHOO. That's one of the main reasons I don't return to small coffee shops, but this one passed that test. If I return again, I might be asking for no ice, but that's ok. Everything else about this place is pretty cool. There are also outlets to plug into, but not a huge amount. read more

Firstly; their coffee is excellent. Now the main point is out of the way, you should know that the staff are very friendly, and even let me sample the other single origin that I didn't order. I can see why they've been in business for over 50 years. I picked up a bag of the Peru single origin to enjoy at home. The atmosphere is very relaxed and they have a good mix of seating.
