Really great coffee! I love their lattes and unique syrups (mazapán was awesome). This location is large, with a ton of booths and a literal bar to sit at, an opening garage door, outdoor patio, and an awesome view of downtown + the Rockies! The staff are always super friendly and nice to talk to. I love supporting Prodigy as they have a program where they hire and train up baristas to a high caliber, latte art and all! I know coffee can be a tough field to break into, and it's cool to see Prodigy offering such great opportunities! 10/10 spot! read more

Came by on a chilly Monday morning with my 7-month old and was greeted warmly. It was pretty quiet so we had our pick of seating and opted for a booth which my little one enjoyed exploring. Great variety of seating including a bar area, table nook - even a separate conference room. I love me a seasonal latte and went with the maple cinnamon - great flavor. Didn't seem to have larger sizes for dining in (I avoid to-go cups whenever possible) so I went smaller. Decent fresh pastry selection from a local bakery and they've got burritos on their regular menu. Overall a lovely coffee space with areas to work or hang out and easy to get to with plenty of parking - even outdoor space and a drive thru! Love their vision and the fact they help get youth jobs and build up useful skills. My only markdowns are it doesn't have any section that gives off that cozy vibe, which I really value and would make me want to come back more often and they don't have baby changing tables in either bathroom, which is always a big bummer. read more

Looking for coffee on my way home from the airport and headed to an appointment downtown. This place was conveniently located right off the highway. I was super excited to not have bucks as we have very few independent coffee shops on the south side of the Denver metro. Anyway, ordered my usual vanilla latte with half the syrup and decided to try a breakfast burrito. Customer service was polite but disengaged. I was in the drive thru but it wasn't busy in the shop. Another coffee shop with cool vibes was discovered by me today. I wanted to avoid the big name coffee shop; I was more into discovering a new place. And this place came up on my search. From the current location at the time I was in, this shop was only several miles away. Service was okay-ish (I was greeted by a young lady upfront upon walking up. Her demeanor wasn't anything special but it wasn't bad either.) I asked for a cortado. She asked if there was anything else I wanted on top of that. I said no. I paid for what I ordered. My drink was made quickly. Like I said the service was something you'd expect to receive at any given time at an ordinary or average coffee. What I liked about this place was the spaciousness of it. Its building spreads out from the north to the south. It's modern but it's not modern overkill. Simply and clean feels; I liked that. And in the middle of the building, there is a lab. I saw 6-7 people in that little room. It's all glass so I could see them. Employee meeting or some coffee class for the public? Whatever they were doing, I remained respectful by not trying to give an unnecessary glare (lol)!! They do have some light bites on the menu. If nothing sounds good then you can get a pastry from the showcase (selection is not large though.) This is not a place where I can casually go from my Hamden South neighborhood but it's nice to know that such a place exists. Like today I was in the neighborhood running errands, when I am in the area again, i I'll make sure to stop by. ***P.S: My cortado was good. Visited today at 12:00 and the young man with facial piercings was intentionally rude. Taking orders with headphones in and serving me an absurdly overfilled coffee on purpose so it would spill everywhere. I told him to pour it out and make it correctly and he got an attitude. I Definitely won't come back. If you want to hire teenagers with an attitude you'd better train them or put a manager that's an adult in here to run your business correctly. read more

Whoever invented mass-produced coffee is a prodigy. It was our last full day of exploring and traveling around Colorado and we needed caffeine to get us started. Once we dropped Sammy off at work, we looked up some places she told us and settled on Prodigy. They didn't open until 6:30am so we got there early and waited a few minutes in the parking lot. Once they opened their doors, we booked it in and were somehow beat by another person in placing an order. Emily got something that stuck her fancy and I snagged an americano. We didn't wait around to sip our drink as we were going to hike at the Red Rocks and wanted to beat the summer heat. The interior was nice and colorful. To my best guess, this building used to be a lube shop and it was converted into a business building at some point. Emily and I entered what seemed to be that door that rolls up when you drive in for an oil change. While the vibe in the coffeehouse was nice and vibrant, the two ladies working didn't really acknowledge us or engage us in conversation. While I don't ever expect to have a full blown conversation with someone working a register/making coffee, some level of engagement or acknowledgement would be nice. As for the coffee, we sipped it on the way to Red Rocks and wow... this americano was bitter. It was almost too bitter for my taste but I savored it all the same. I needed as much of a punch of bitter as I could get for the long day ahead. Emily said she enjoyed her drink as well. While I was ever-so-slightly annoyed that the customer service here was weak, the strongness of the americano left me with a smile on my face. read more

When I was there, they had one of the garage doors opened, and fresh air and sunlight breezed in the whole time. The staff are genuine, the drinks are made with love. In regard to their drink and food options they have a variety of options. I typically order a hot dirty chi with oat and vanilla--which I love. For food options I typically get a croissant. I found myself here by random chance today and I am very happy with my order. I got a latte and a croissant for a quick bite. The croissant was warmed with butter, making it crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The latte was just how I like it, without it being too sweet. They also have outdoor seating and an absolutely beautiful view of the mountains, I like this little spot..i believe it's an old gas station! It's a little off the beaten path, but if you're coming off the highway or going onto the highway to I 70 and it's right there off 40th and Colorado Blvd..they also have a drive-through. Popped in for an iced latte after a rather early vet checkup and was pleased with the overall experience. Honey Lavender Latte with Oat Milk was good, though a bit milky. It's my own fault though as I know I prefer beverage more coffee forward and I forgot to order an additional shot of espresso. Flavor was good though, and I love anything with Lavender so I appreciated them offering that. Croissant was very good though I only had one bite and brought the rest home for Alfie! If you see the photo it looks flaky and delicious inside like how you would expect a croissant. The raspberry was very unique too. I enjoyed it. Service was good, quick and efficient. I work in this area, and usually stop at the chain coffee spot across the street, but I noticed this one this time and HAD to try it. I'm so glad I did! I got their croissant - which was SO FLAKY, SWEET, AND SAVORY AT THE SAME TIME. It was perfect. So delicious. I could eat one every day. I also got their gingerbread latte, they obviously use really great coffee, also very tasty. I prefer local coffee shops, and this one was no different. The space is bright, airy and inviting. They have large garage doors that make you feel safe in the enduring pandemic while also feeling free and not confined to your home! The views of the mountains are STUNNING. They have interesting drink options- honey lavender latte- really interesting, if a bit on the sweet side. They have (or are supposed to have) kombucha on tap, but was out during my visit. Food options a limited, but did look nice and fresh. WiFi is quite strong and is a good place to work. Unless, the work you're doing is reading. The music is pretty loud and I need complete silence. I would absolutely return to work that didn't include reading. Perhaps the best part of this place is their business model. Recognizing that employment and economic opportunities are not equitable, Prodigy coffee aims to provide opportunities for disenfranchised members of the community where they offer internships, employment and training.
