This place is pretty large and so cute! There's a variety of seating at the coffee spot as well as in the shared hallway outside. I got an oat latte with the seasonal spiced pear syrup. The flavor was warm and cozy, and not too heavy. My friend got the caramel latte and that tasted sweeter than mine but also really good! I love that their flavors are homemade. That's one of the things I look for in a quality coffee spot! There are cute mugs, prints, and plants for sale. I'll be honestly, I've only ever ordered the brown sugar vanilla iced latte. That's because it's so yummy! I am actually craving one right now. The staff is always friendly, and there is ample seating in the building, which is a huge win for me when I need somewhere to work for a couple of hours. I do, however, wish for a bit more ice. My lattes never really get cold, but the upside is that it also doesn't really get watered down. So there is give or take with that piece. I love my latte to be served in a ceramic coffee mug with beautiful latte art! Got both here! While visiting the Denver area and heading north, I have stopped here twice for a cuppa joe! This shop is among a few located inside of The District. Hubby and I intended to go to Nox Donuts, but they were closed. I wanted coffee, so I'm happy we spotted this place and gave them a try. Two guys (Matt & Cody) & their love of coffee founded Otis. "Otis" is the name of Matt's maternal grandfather. This place actually started out as Proper Grounds Coffee Roasters in 2012 and later became Otis Craft Collective in 2018. On the first visit I got the Peach Cobbler. It's made with their housemade Peach Brown Sugar Syrup and a Cinnamon Topping. It came with a heart or leaf shaped latte art on top. The drink was rich and velvety, but I'm not sure I'd get it again. When I visited the second time, I came alone. I looked at their menu and went with the Not Another PSL. It is made with a Pumpkin Tahini Sauce and a dusting of spices. Boy was it delicious! Maybe it was more delicious because my eyes ate first as I beheld the swan latte art! The barista was so skilled! After she made my drink, snapped a photo or two, and then called out my name to pick up my drink. When the barista admires their work, it's gotta be pretty bomb! I got a good look at the coffee beans roaster located in a separate room. They roast their beans here. They sell pastries which I think are made here, but I didn't try any. If coffee isn't your thing, they also have teas, OJ, and a plethora of other drinks. They have branded merchandise as well as coffee making apparatus. Let's not forget about the puppers. There are Scooby Snacks (doggie biscuits) available for them! There are plenty of tables for enjoying your beverage & bites at. I think it would be a good atmosphere to get some work done if necessary. I don't recall seeing outlets available, so I'm unsure if there are any. If I am ever passing through, I will definitely stop by for my caffeine boost and hopefully an intricate latte art! read more

I love this place! They roast their own beans and make their own syrups. They also have seasonal signature drinks that are always fun to try. The seating area is very spacious, you can almost always find a spot. The staff are very kind. They also do punch cards still, which I prefer over signing up for rewards. My family recommended Otis, in Louisville, CO... and let me say that Colorado is the PLACE to be if you're looking for DELICIOUS GF pastries. The environment is lovely. We got to sit on a comfy couch and sip our lattes while reading, it was very enjoyable. The cafe was nice and spacious, and not too loud! The service was fast and quick. Very kind baristas. I got: - Hot Pistachio Matcha (9/10): I am a real sucker for some unique, new flavors in my lattes. This one was such a treat! Not only was it visibly LOVELY, but the nuts on top really added to the overall pistachio flavor. It was the perfect mix of sweet and salty. So fantastic. - Blueberry GF Scone (8/10): This was such a delicious scone. It was very buttery, and the blueberry filling brought it all together. A little bit dry, but I think that's what you expect from a scone anyway. Very good. - GF Crumb Cake (7/10): I liked this a lot because it tastes like batter. That could be a turn-off for some, but to me, it was unique! Didn't have too many bites of this, but I enjoyed it! Our new favorite coffee place in Lafayette! Great tasting coffee served in colorful mugs! We have tried the cappuccino, brown sugar vanilla latte, and caramel latte! All tasted great, but the cappuccino is probably our favorite. Flavors of syrups are great and all made in house. All sizes of lattes have 2 shots of espresso so larger sizes just have more milk. I love that you are able to drink out of colorful ceramic mugs. Price is average for a coffee shop in this area. Lines get very long on the weekends so wouldn't come in a rush, but drinks were made fast once we ordered. read more

The coffee was unexpectedly amazing, the espresso was smooth with a perfect balance of that floral acidity that I love while offering notes of nutty dark chocolate. This little coffee shop/cafe is so charming! In downtown Lafayette, this is a lovely quaint, yet trendy stop in the Boulder-adjacent area. I went for coffee with a friend and got a maple latte, and a spinach feta croissant. Everything was seriously so amazing. The croissant was buttery, and the feta wasn't overpowering - filling & decadent, but also felt semi healthy (ha) with the spinach :) The latte was creamy and had just the right amount of sweetener. Great coffee in an otherwise nondescript shopping center pn the margins of sleepy Lafayette. Well, non-descript other than sharing a parking lot with the brilliant Drumbox rentable drum studio, but let me not digress. Otis distinguishes itself by roasting on premises (it looks like - I haven't been there when they were actually in the process of running the roaster) and - and this is a big one - being one of the few hip coffee joints in greater Boulder that has the good sense to make their branded stickers available for free. I am not gonna pay a coffee shop to rock their advertising, but I'll happily do it if the stickers are gratis. I make it a point to come here when visiting Boulder and have not been disappointed. Could benefit from a larger baked goods selection, certainly, but the breakfast burritos on offer are a good tradeoff (ask and they shall be heated for you). read more

My husband and I stopped here on our way to cheer on one of our best buddies in the recent Half Ironman race in Boulder and it was the perfect spot to get our morning going! I got the "T-Shirt Weather" flavored iced latte which was well balanced and not too sweet. My husband and I both got burritos to go-mine was chipotle sweet potato flavored and was absolutely delicious! His had bacon and eggs and loved his-they kept us full cheering on the race through 2 pm! The aesthetics were lovely and open and the baristas were friendly and efficient. One of my favorite places to work from in the Louisville / Lafayette area. The building is large and spacious, with a great atmosphere and good wifi to boot. The coffee is reliable, and the service staff is friendly and quick. I feel like Vibe is a key part of any coffee shop's success, and this place is one of the best in the county. I love their Nitro Cold Brew! It seems they have issues with the Nitro system quit often as I have been here four times and was told half of those times the Nitro wasn't working. I have also tried a couple of their Latte's and they were excellent as well. Some reviewers have complained about the change in service, but my experiences have all been positive interacting with the staff. You will likely have to wait a while for your order. They are short staffed as a lot of services business are currently. As of Sept 1 2022 they are advertising in-store for more help - two more baristas. That tells me they are trying to address the service issues. Currently the take home coffee bean blends are all around $19/pound. A little bit higher than some other independent roasters but for really good coffee not too bad. read more

Yay, espresso! Pretty much the theme for me at Otis. Espresso and Beans: So good! I have a pretty nice espresso system at my house and their decaf beans are perfect for the after work home espressos. The best I've found so far. The espressos are also super tasty!I love walking here weekend mornings as part of my caffeine journey. I think they have a very high level beans and roasting system going on. Really love the espresso blend they have too. Food: A nice little food selection too for those looking for something quick to compliment their beverage of choice. Really a nice selection. Ambiance: Really comfortable, clean and welcoming. As a queer male, I love seeing the pride flag. Really makes a difference and is one of the reasons I keep going back. The best part is, it is up all year round and not just in June during Pride Month. It's one thing to have the flag out in June, but another to have it up all year round. Thank you for that, Otis! Service: The baristas are super friendly. I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. Always nice, welcoming and friendly. Only part I'd say is maybe the rosters could give them a little more education around the beans and the regions they're from and if the beans are organic or not. I know that Ozo's baristas are super knowledgeable on all things dealing with their beans and drinks, so I'm spoiled in that sense from going there so much. All in all, this place is a great hang. You can't beat Otis coffee. Just the beans themselves are so delicately roasted that this coffee is unmatched. They make all their syrups in house, too! Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the last visit I had. I had been coming here as a weekend regular for months. I love coffee, but coffee doesn't love me back, so I order decaf in most situations. That's already lame and embarrassing enough. But last time I was there the baristas made loud, annoyed comments about having to make decaf that i could hear across the room while waiting for my beverage. So I haven't been back, let alone to really any coffee establishment since. There are also monetary reasons for that, but I don't want to be a bother to our service professionals either. That's the other thing, the staff here are sometimes super friendly or at least cordial. I think that's why I was extra surprised by the last interaction.
