Everyone from my local dentist to the CTMAX personnel suggested I have my wisdom teeth removed,…read morealthough they were not in pain. They said it would be better in the long run for me and would alleviate "future issues". They also said it would be best to take them out all at once and kill multiple birds with one stone. So I did so, spent about $800+ out of pocket. My very good & stable insurance carrier (rare these days) paid the rest. Since this time, I have had intense TMJD, locking jaw, shooting pains, acid reflux and I have not eaten meat in many years, as I can't chew it. I have been referred to orthodontists and physical therapists who each suggested splints and physical therapy. After being discouraged I have paid out of pocket for a number of physicians, maxillofacial professionals and orthodontists, none of which have helped but all who seemed to want me to return. None seemed focused on addressing my TMJD, nor treating any pain. Finally, after spending close to 4k out of pocket I have located a maxillofacial surgeon and an orthodontist who have begun to undo the errors made. I would not recommend CTMAX to anyone. I would get multiple opinions before ever getting wisdom teeth removed.

First, let's talk about pain: there was virtually none, during neither the shots nor the procedure…read more Even though I required shots in the roof of my mouth, which is the most painful shot to get, I barely felt it at all. Of course it was a big fat needle and there was no getting around that, but Dr. Nghiem is very gentle and caring and he knows what he's doing: a true professional During the procedure he observed me intently during every step of the procedure so as to make sure to stop if he notices me flinch in pain. I felt so safe and relaxed. Also, I never felt the drill. There is nothing whatsoever to fear in his chair. I often feel that dentists don't take enough time to make sure I'm not feeling anything, but Dr. Nghiem stopped so often to check on me, it almost felt coddling! I felt so cared for and I can say that even more confidently considering I was having him finish the job of another dentist that 1) couldn't get me numb and 2) didn't care whether I was numb and seemed annoyed with me for not getting numb. Well, it's been 2+ years now since getting my two front teeth crowned and they look as beautiful and feel as great as ever. Not one time have I felt like someone was looking at me, questioning whether or not my teeth are real. Nor have experienced any pain, chipping or issues whatsoever. I will update this review as the years go on, but so far so perfect!! Now here's the REAL proof of Dr. Nghiem's expertise as a cosmetic dentist: I am currently dating a girl I was previously friends with for 6 months. I didn't tell her my two front teeth were fake until well after we started dating (8 months after meeting her!). She had no idea. I almost think they look better than my real teeth would. The cosmetic dental technology they have these days is miraculous and Dr. Nghiem is a master with it. Highly recommended !

To be clear I had extractions, a bone graft, bridges and crowns , multiple cleanings and an implant. The staff is helpful, pleasant and efficient. I received reminders so that I never missed an appointment and did not wait long once in the office for my time in the chair to begin. While needing major dental work is not a good position to be in, this team makes the experience as pleasant as possible. I can only say this dental experience was the best ever in my 80 years.

After going to another location to get my own wisdom teeth removed, I was on the other side taking…read moremy sister to get the procedure done. Arriving at the location after getting off I-91 North and driving into Windsor for which felt like forever, we found the building located with other medical offices along the road with other corporations. I will say it may be common practice to schedule a procedure at 9am and have us both time waiting for someone to come to the window. If you were going to be away from the front, add a bell or something. We were able to check in easily enough, with my sister being taken in for the procedure. Luckily, being prepared I had snacks and a drink to pass the time for the hour long procedure as the road doesn't have much on it. Their timing is pretty good as I was called in to sit with my sister an hour after she went in. They seem to maintain a steady pace for appointments because a mother and son came in for their appointment as my sister was taken to a recovery room to let the medication subside. We were there for a good hour as my sister continued to recover and toward the end of it, we were wondering if we were forgotten. With my sister thirsty because she needed to have an empty stomach, we were itching to leave. Being from NJ, she didn't have a pharmacy for the medication she needed so we took the script and went to Walmart. Getting to Walmart, my sister noticed that her address was incorrect. Luckily the script was accepted as I was not going to drive all the way back to Windsor from Manchester because of an incorrect address...Sorry. Once in a lifetime procedure and lucky for that, get them all out and never go back because it is a process and a pricey one for our time and money at that.

The doctor there used a small camera to look up at the perforated hole. And the time in office was 10:minute. He set me up for a 45 day future appointment. I was charged $500.00. As you sit down and fill out the 6 pages of forms, it mostly has the patient signing in multiple areas guaranteeing payment. Checking with my health insurance company, it would have been cheaper to check in at a hospital.

TLDR; Stay away from this place. They're creepy, overpriced, rude, and very bad with children…read more Our child needed to use the restroom when we got there, and they said we couldn't wait for her outside the door. We had to go to the room for the appointment. That some staff member would "be there when she got out". We've never been there. Our daughter had never been there. And the first thing they did was say we can't wait for her to finish using the restroom? Red flag number one. Red flag number two. We hesitantly oblige and go wait in the room - only to realize our daughter had left the bathroom and of course, no one was there waiting for her. So she's in a new place, without her parents there, and no one to help (or anyone because the place was weirdly empty). I had to tell the staff it sounded like she was out of the bathroom for them to realize based on their own words they were supposed to go get here. And red flag number three. "Dr" stephen herself. Slinked into the room in a very creepy way, whispering so low none of us could hear her. It was so off-putting I can't put it into words. I had to ask her to speak up a number of times throughout the "consultation". Despite being asked to speak up, she immediately began whispering in the same low tone, mentioning that they don't want kids to remember a dental experience that could "scar them for life" so they have the kids drink some "juice" - yes she used the word "juice" - that would help them forget. I had to ask her what was in it! Which she then described as an amnesia inducing product called Versed. (Which has serious risks for children with asthma, which they did not seem to care about at all). I asked her if this was necessary and she said "no", then mentioned they could use a local anesthetic of some kind instead. We then asked her if we could keep our daughter company, at least be in the same room, while the procedure is being done. We were told no. How could we possibly leave our child with someone whose staff couldn't even make sure they were there for her when she left a bathroom ten minutes before? And the bonus. The procedure was estimated to cost a little under $950, and HALF of that was the so called "juice" (Versed). Obviously we left and are never ever going back there. All in all it was a loss because that "consultation" cost over one hundred dollars. Stay away from this place.

I don't do well with needles at all, and was also very nervous about the novocaine. She and her staff were very helpful before and during putting me under for the procedure and afterwards as well (though I did get quite panicky before and after!). She was very clear with the aftercare instructions and gave me a sheet that gave more detailed instructions and answered my FAQs. Her office person was also helpful when I called between the extraction and the follow up with additional questions. The follow up was very quick which I found to be helpful since I head going on my lunch, but Dr. Stephen was still thorough in making sure everything was healing okay before having me leave. Her office seems very clean and organized as well, and it was very quick getting in for my appointments.
