When I asked Paul's team about it, they told me it was just "cosmetic" and didn't have to worry. Less than 6 months later the expansion tank started leaking! I had another plumber come in and he was shocked to know that my last plumber didn't bother replacing expansion tank during the last job. I even spoke to Paul on the phone and he told me his guys "should" have done that repair as well. The part is inexpensive but I ended up having to pay for all the overhead again to prep and restore the system after repairing. I ended up losing a few hundred bucks because if their incompetence, but fortunately I found a new plumber I can trust.

Called the shop today and the receptionist said we had to order the parts and let them know when it needed to be installed. Didn't give us a list of these parts or numbers to order it. I won't be using them again. I don't care if times are tough. I don't get to use that excuse when you come to my intensive care unit. Find a company with some customer service. We also waited months for our cleaning / called back in October when our furnace wouldn't start with no return call.

Then I called WPH, which I've never heard of or read a review of, and the guy who answered, Rick, estimated around $100. He and his partner came out the next morning at 8am (fit me into his packed schedule) and found another problem which caused the leak. He fixed it with copper fittings (the old pipe was galvanized steel and corroded pretty badly) and with an hour's of work and 2 people and a couple of copper parts, he fixed it for $160. He was very thorough and answered everything I asked. He is the owner, which is a big plus. I HIGHLY recommend Rick and WPH.
