My child did not give consent. He never asked me -- the parent -- and he proceeded with the extraction anyway. Immediately afterward, he repeatedly told my child that he "didn't extract the tooth," even though the tooth was clearly sitting on the tray in front of us. Watching my child try to reconcile what they were being told with what they could physically see was heartbreaking. We spent years here with Dr. Lena, who was exceptional and always communicated clearly. But after she left, everything changed. This was not discussed, not planned, not medically urgent, and absolutely not authorized. No parent should have to worry about whether their child's bodily autonomy and consent will be respected in a medical setting. This experience shattered our trust, and I hope the practice takes serious steps to ensure nothing like this happens to another family.

Yes I know my appointment was on a Saturday and most insurances are closed, but thought she could have it to follow up on the next business day. Once the assistant took me back he seemed like he had no idea why I was there. Apparently they thought I was just coming for a second opinion for the bridge. Got that straight or so I thought. We then proceeded to go do X-rays and he kept going out of the room. Then the front desk person came back asking me questions as to why I was there. She again said the online appointment said for second opinion. Finally was seen by the dentist who seemed very friendly and helpful. He gave me his assessment of how we would proceed, but would need to speak with the lab to clarify the best option for me. Then upon checking out the front desk person stated they would need to contact my insurance the following Monday, which was Memorial Day and I knew insurance would be closed. So I left and was told the office would contact me about my further treatment once they spoke with my insurance (they needed to see if this would be considered new or if I needed prior authorization since another dentist had started the bridge work). I knew I would wait a few days to give them time to call my insurance. I waited until later that week and tried to call the office to see what they found out from my insurance. I did not reach a person as the message said they were all busy, but would return my call. We are now at June 10th and I still have NOT heard one word from them. I guess they do not need my business so I will seek treatment elsewhere. I felt like they thought I was bothering them by being there. Do not go there if you want to be treated as a person. Once again the dentist was nice, but the staff lacked any compassion. I would not go here unless this was the only place in the world to go to. I asked if there was somewhere I could put my umbrella because there wasn't anything in place, but immediately upon asking, she walks out with a plastic tub for me to put it in. Also, the check-in process was very simple. I had to fill out some paperwork since it was my first time there, but unless I was a walk-in, they just ask if I was the person for a reservation. I don't even have to touch a paper to sign in. Then, I met with the hygienist for my cleaning. She quickly got my x-rays and updated me on the state of my teeth. She then proceeded with giving me my cleaning, which she did very thoroughly. She made light conversation, which was nice, considering I could only respond with "uh''s and "ah"s. She made me feel very comfortable and at-home during the process. Lastly, I met with the dentist, Dr. Jung. She performed the oral cancer screening and asked me about my dental history/status. I actually have a special issue with my jaw, and she knew about the details of my condition. I've been to other dentists that weren't very well informed in the area, so it was very refreshing to hear that she knew about it. She wanted to keep updated on it. She's very knowledgeable. Upon leaving, I received a goodie bag of dental items, and I was very impressed. I typically receive no name generic brand item, but this came filled decked out with quality dental items. I received a root canal and crown here in 2021. After a painful and extended treatment process, I returned with recurring pain. Despite voicing concerns and asking for an evaluation, I was told everything was fine and referred to an outside endodontist--where I paid $2,440 out of pocket for retreatment. In 2025, a CBCT scan confirmed that the same tooth shows decay under the crown and is cracked, so must now be extracted. I trusted this clinic to help me preserve the tooth, but their dismissal of my concerns and failure to resolve the issue left me with significant costs and no long-term solution. Patients deserve care that is backed by accountability. I am currently pursuing formal resolution through other channels.
