I normally don't leave public reviews, but after spending over $4,000 on a failed treatment at Today Dental of Mansfield, I feel it's important to share my experience. I received a root canal and crown here in 2021. After a painful and extended treatment process, I returned with recurring pain. Despite voicing concerns and asking for an evaluation, I was told everything was fine and referred to an outside endodontist--where I paid $2,440 out of pocket for retreatment. In 2025, a CBCT scan confirmed that the same tooth shows decay under the crown and is cracked, so must now be extracted. I trusted this clinic to help me preserve the tooth, but their dismissal of my concerns and failure to resolve the issue left me with significant costs and no long-term solution. Patients deserve care that is backed by accountability. I am currently pursuing formal resolution through other channels. read more

My husband got 2 of his wisdom teeth removed here before after a horrible experience at another place and had a great experience. He got stitched up and everything and still didn't c/o pain at all after days. So I went here recently to get all 4 removed last Friday, Dr. Kim pulled them clean out in less than 2 minutes after numbing. Even today 5 days later, I have had no pain whatsoever. They send you with paper prescriptions for pain/antibiotics to DROP OFF to the pharmacy, which is more than fine. They were ready within the hour. Got my cleaning before the procedure and she was great also, very gentle and informative. Office staff really nice. Place is clean. Close to home. 10/10. They will explain the prices to you before anything is done and u will pay AFTER services, depending on the service I think. Very thorough. read more

Do not go to this office if you are in need of a root canal(s). My daughter went into the office and at the age of 15 was told she would need 8 root canals. The dentist was unable to tell me the cause of these cavities, as she is a healthy child who takes care of her teeth. But I digress, as I myself have major dental issues and have had many root canals as well. My daughter went in for her first one and experienced relatively extreme pain afterwards. The dentist also informed me that he had broken a piece of a work tool off in her tooth, but that it was common and nothing to worry about. Her second root canal goes smoothly, and they tell us she actually doesn't need another one where they thought they did. Then comes the straw that broke the hat. My daughter went in for yet another root canal, during this my daughter recounts tremendous pain (far beyond the bounds of the other ones) and was in the chair for over 2 hours. She says the dentist was also getting upset with the dental assistant, and used her as a teaching moment rather than placing her care first. It turns out she has a unique tooth root (hence the excessive time) and needs to be referred to a endodontist for further evaluation. After getting in the car my daughter's meds begin to wear off and she is left with an extremely intense pain. Her gums are swollen beyond belief, she's unable to close her mouth, and no food nor liquid can come into contact with her gums without excruciating pain. This lasts for 1.5 weeks. She couldn't speak for a full day, and couldn't shut her jaw completely for 3. She would spontaneously bleed from that section of her gums, and stated it felt as though they had burned her gums. Eventually she went to the specialist after the 3 excruciating weeks of pain. The specialist took x-rays, and was kind towards my daughter unlike the previous dentist. He informed us that not only had the previous dentist broken one tool, but another and did not inform us of this. Her gum issue occurred because they had to cut a piece of her gums out (common practice) but ONCE AGAIN did NOT inform us of this, nor the after care. All and all, do not go here. They were rushed each time they took her back and her results were mediocre at best with excessive and avoidable amounts of pain. My daughter also informed a dental assistant that her initial numbing cream had completely worn off, to this, he stated that she hadn't received her shot, and therefore was never numb to begin with. My daughter was discounted, as she had clearly meant the paste placed on the gums to help with the pain of the shots. And because she was ignored, endeared the full pain of the shots as opposed to the lessened original pain that is usually expect. read more

My daughter had an appt in which I had to send her via Uber. Their office was CLOSED. She called another location and was told an employee had gone in to labor. What... not ONE other person in that office could bother to call the patients (CUSTOMERS) to cancel? Highly unprofessional!!! We won't be returning. read more

BEWARE OF SKETCHY BILLING PRACTICES I went to this office for oral care and cleaning treatment, from the beginning I had issues with billing. I have Cigna dental insurance under my wife policy and verify it was in network. Well, they the lady in billing at that time NEVER inform me that some dentists are in network and some are not, which is a very important information because of insurance coverage. After x-rays they referred me to a Periodontist because I have some problems with my gums. I did go to the specialist and came back later because I had a tooth pain with the green light from my periodontist. They said I need a crown, I question again about the coverage and was told that I had to pay 60% and insurance will pay 40% which was wrong , was suppose to be 50%-50% . I explained to the billing lady again she didn't care and told me that's the coverage that she have on her computer. I just want to fix my tooth and finish with the pain, I end up paying the 60% out my pocket which was $834 out of the $1370 for the procedure. That was on April 2021. Last month my wife tells me that she received a communication from a Collection agency claiming that I own Today's Dental money, I ran to the office to find out what was going on. They said that when they submit the claim I was max -out because my Periodontist max out my coverage with her claims to the insurance! I try to understand how they go forward with my crown treatment if I didn't had coverage. I question why I NEVER received a bill, statement, a call, an email about it, they said they did when I never received any kind of communication from them and explain that I'm enrolled with the USPS informed delivery service that send me every day to my email what I'm receiving that day in the mail and I NEVER received any mail from them. There's a new billing manager in the office, Laura, she tried everything she could to resolve this matter with no success. Now they're claiming that I have to pay the balance plus $200 fee for sending my bill to collection. Maybe Laura cared after all the unfair situation but the headquarters or main office didn't, they just care about the $$$ numbers, don't want to take responsibility for the mess-up processing of their employee at that time. I'm not going back ever which is sad because the dentist and assistants were very nice and professionals. Too bad for the sketchy billing practices they have and reading some of the reviews I'm not the first one to have issues about their billings. read more

I had a dental emergency at the worse time during 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic. I was getting real worried because a lot of dental offices were closed. I contacted Today Dental and they scheduled me the day that worked best for me. When I went in at 8:30am the dentist saw me real quick and informed me of my options. Also gave me good advice on other dental work I would need in the future but they were not pushy like other dental offices. We decided on going ahead and extracting the tooth. I was out around 10:30am with my tooth extracted. The process was so easy and their staff is awesome. I honestly think I found my new dentist and thinking about making them my son's new dentist. read more

Their office is clean, professional and has little touches of technology that really make them stand out. All forms are done a computer and signed, so no 10th generation xerox copy to fill out. They have tvs on the walls and in the ceiling in each exam room to keep you or your littles entertained. They were incredibly patient and worked well with my 2 and 4 year old. My 2 year old hasn't ever liked the dentist or even me brushing her teeth, but it was a tear-free visit and they were able to be more successful at brushing her than I typically am. (This was our first visit here)... The X-ray machine they used on my 4 year old is quick and portable so it's like a ray gun the hygienist holds and moves around to get the images. I also have been seen here and found them to be thorough, reserved in their course of action, and explained things well to me. read more

My wife and I came in for a regular cleaning. They were very friendly during the visit. I would have referred them and continue to return had it not been for a surprise bill I got. I confirmed with the insurance that it was going to be covered at a $0 copay before my wife and I go in for a visit. We had called the dental office before and asked during the appointment to confirm that our visit would be $0 copay. During the visit, they convinced me to get a deeper cleaning which would be a $50 copay because the insurance does not completely cover it but because I would get their $50 referral then it would be a $0 total altogether. They later send me a bill for $142.60 for the deeper cleaning and lying when they said it was $50. I would not have gotten the deeper cleaning if it was higher than $50 with the $50 referral to offset it. Then they did not even acknowledge that they even gave me a referral credit. Update: I was just contacted by the new office manager who spoke with the regional manager and they said they will write off the bill entirely so the final result will be a zero copay so I am upgrading my rating from a 1 to a 3. I think this place deserves a 5 star but their billing practices have caused me to lose trust in them. read more

I've been coming to Mansfield location for years because they have really great dentists who are very friendly and professional, but the receptionist I saw today, who I haven't seen before, was very rude. I have seen different receptionist/front desk staff, some not so friendly. I keep returning because of the dentists and dental hygienist, all have been great, can't always say the same for their front desk staff. read more

Maybe my son and I went on off day. My appointment was at 4:30 pm and my son's at 5:00 pm. Once taken in by the hygienist, we spoke and x-rays were taken. I sat around 10-12 minutes waiting for the dentist. I stepped out at 6:00 p.m. My son still had not been seen. He said several people came in after us. Many came and went. He wasn't seen until 6:00 p.m. We didn't leave until 7:00 p.m. The receptionist wanted to argue me and said his appointment wasn't until 5:30 p.m., which was bogus. I set up the appointment in tandem and it was the only reason I booked it. I looked at Yelp prior to making my appointments and saw all the rave reviews. I went in today for the first time for a routine cleaning. The entire staff was friendly, professional, efficient. The check-in process was easy, tech-savvy, and streamlined. The equipment they used to take x-rays and pictures of my teeth were modern and high-quality. After I was assessed by the dentist, he quickly noticed that I had a small crack in one of my fillings and was able to take care of it right away. I was informed about what my insurance would cover and how much I would be responsible for in advance. The cleaning and fluoride treatment were quick and relatively painless. I told them at the beginning that I had a time- constraint and they all worked together to make sure I was not late. Overall, really really good experience. Run don't walk! I repeat run from Orchard Dental on Broad! If I could give them a negative 20 I would. I recently had a crown and cleaning done there. First, the color of the crown was totally off. However, they assured me they could correct the problem they sent me to their lab for a custom shade. We get the crown back and it's the same exact crown! They didn't even send it back to the lab. I ended up going back 3 more times and they finally got the color correct. Unfortunately for me, the crown is big and protrude out from the rest of the teeth. Each time you have a visit there is a different Dentist and staff! When I asked to speak to the owner of the practice I was informed I could only speak to corporate. What corporate? Upon my first visit I was told this was an doctor owned practice. Secondly, they offered me fluoride but had no trays and the assistance just rub it on with her finger! I was beyond annoyed and asked when the owners would call. Again I was told that I couldn't speak to him directly then I told the manager I was going to find another dentist if I couldn't speak with him. She just said ok that's fine. She would cancel my family's future appointments. It's a shame you get better service from Chick-fil-A than your dental office! read more

I recently had to find a new dentist because I felt like my previous dental office (mint) didn't really care about my teeth and cared more so for my insurance company and the payouts. That is why I walked in to Today dental. When I walked in I was greeted with a smile by Nikki she was so sweet and professional helped me sign in (literally walked from behind the counter to help) and made me feel like she actually cared about her job and my situation. Everyone had such a great energy to them. The team worked very well together and everyone makes you feel like your teeth are important and not just a paycheck. I was surprised at how different this office was compared to other dental offices I've been to. The dental assistant Ellie is amazing and super sweet made sure I was ok throughout the whole process and Dr. Amjad Saleh has a very relaxing demeanor to him I usually get very anxious and nervous in the dental chair but he has this way of making you feel at ease and calm and before I knew it we were done and I was walking out the door. On the way out Lucy was very fast and had the next appointment set up in no time. No super long waits! No excruciating pain! I almost couldn't believe how easy they made everything. I am very displeased with this dentistry. After filling out some paperwork, we waited for a few minutes, during which the receptionist was on the phone speaking another language. That doesn't bother me, but I know plenty of people who it would. Two people took x rays of my teeth and were both preoccupied with watching Dr. Phil. After ten minutes of x rays, I was taken into another room where I had my teeth "polished." The actual dentist then came in and continued to clean my teeth, and I'm very dissatisfied with the job he did. He did not completely remove the tartar from my teeth. I feel as if he did the bare minimum. I will say, everyone was polite, but it felt very forced. There was definitely negative energy given off by most of the staff, especially the receptionist. She never once smiled, her eyes were very bloodshot, and she overall just did not seem genuine in her courtesy. She is definitely better talked to on the phone than in person. I felt somewhat rushed and awkward. The best part of this experience was the air conditioning. I will not be returning. read more
