I'm awarding Brackett Burger & Shake 5 partly because this is a great little burger shack that makes no presumptions about itself and partly because I believe the overall rating for this joint is too low due to one bad review. The locals seem to love the place as a hangout and several of them will say hello to you just to be Texas friendly. I ordered the 1/3 burger combo and really appreciate that it wasn't smothered in salty seasonings. Order the okra for an upcharge! You will not regret it. It comes out crispy and perfectly cooked. cookies and cream shake--- DELISH. get a LARGE. don't plan to share with anyone. our food was good, but it took a while to come out. it was worth it. especially the shake! get in and get out before the high school rush hour (12:30 ish). the line to order was 15 deep when we left... shakes in hand, straws in mouth, smile on face. fat and happily on our merry road tripping way. :) read more

Not too shabby at all. I got the chicken and beef fajitas. 8.49 and my wife for the chicken fried steak sandwich combo for like 8. We also got a pretty tasty cookies and cream shake. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal with our dog by our side. Good food good price. Will come again read more

Yo everyone, I tell you what? If you are looking for a above fantastic cheeseburger, I got a double bacon/jalapeno and cheese burger for my birthday splurge. It by far was the best burger I have eaten in this entire area. Now don't get me wrong there are some decent burgers at other joints around here but oh my goodness. This was the best burger I have eaten in a long time. As a matter of fact since eating another one a while back. I appreciate the kindness of the server who brought out the burger too. I don't write reviews but I was going to eat 1/2 and give Dynamo my Doberman the rest but hey he will have to get his own. the typical American-style food (e. g. chicken straps and hamburgers) are tasty, but I'd steer clear of the Mexican food from here. the restaurant itself is pretty clean. overall, it's a safe bet for lunch, but the atmosphere is a bit lackluster. read more

Very disappointed with their enchiladas. Took one bite and was very confused. Did I just purchase enchiladas or a freaking cheese sandwich? When I called, they confirmed that they do indeed use sandwich cheese to stuff their enchiladas. But it's ok because they use shredded on top. Really? If your business can't afford to use real cheese than maybe you should 1- close down or 2- stop serving food that you try to pass as Mexican. But on the real note, let your customers know before wasting $10. They didn't offer to replace my food or refund my money. Not to mention, the night before they messed up on my childs food and still had the nerve to charge a 50 cent sub charge for tator tots. That is all. read more
