Ever since the scumbags at ATP started operating out of this airport, it's been an endless source of noise pollution as they fly back and forth over Sierra Madre, Monrovia, Duarte and Azusa ad nauseum. Seven days a week, sometimes 2 flights at the same time, and they never seem to deviate from this pattern. Day in, day out, it never stops. It's getting really old, guys. You can't even use the "don't live near an airport, then" excuse, you're literally going out of your way. We're getting sick of the constant, endless buzz of you repeatedly flying over our homes. Stopped in on Thursday morning after my doctors appointment. Wanted to get breakfast and this was a short easy drive from my doctors office. Located at the airport the restaurant provides a great opportunity to see general aviation and enjoy yourself while you're having breakfast or lunch. The restaurant offers seating outside or inside ( prefer outdoor) to watch the flights and outdoors. I had there (2) eggs with bacon and hash browns with white toast. The food arrived quickly and the service was excellent. definitely would come back again. read more

My love of aviation & a really good traditional American breakfast make Brackett Field Airport one of my favorite places for breakfast. The employees are very nice! Not fancy at all but definitely a fun place to have a great breakfast or lunch and watch planes come and go which makes this place a gem! read more

Brackett airfield has many little planes that come and go including small jets. You tend to see a lot of them in February and November when winter nationals and finals are at the dragstrip. It is fun to sit there with my grandson watching the planes take off. They have a store inside restrooms restaurant. Verify their hours before going they have inside and outside seating. There's a couple picnic benches outside so if you want, you can pack a lunch and go sit there under the shade and enjoy the quiet while watching the planes land to takeoff they also have helicopters and limbs, that you will occasionally see. read more

Brackett airport is just the greatest place to take someone to sit by the entrance and watch the planes, helicopters land. Occassionally, you will see a homeland security helicopter land there and fuel up....hmmmm...that's interesting. When you drive down D Street between the airport and Los Angeles County Fairgrounds...those planes seem like they just skim over your rooftop of your car....scary...sometimes.. Okay, everyone has to have some hobbies. Obviously, I'm have a few hobbies, and one of them is watching airplanes taking off and landing. Yeah, okay, I will admit that it doesn't sound like the most exciting hobby, but I enjoy it. The weird thing is I don't like going to air shows. I don't like the crowds and the rest of the hoopla. I just like watching the airplanes. That's why Brackett Field Airport is perfect. I go to Brackett Field Airport about once a month, and always find the experience calming and enjoyable. It has a small, park-like area for visitors to relax while watching planes taking off and landing on the runway. Additionally, if you have a fancy to do so, you could even make a picnic lunch and lounge around for a couple of hours. And if you don't want to make a picnic lunch, but you get a pang in your belly and want something to eat, you can chow down at the restaurant inside the airport terminal (yes, you can still watch the planes coming and going). I have always wanted to learn to fly, but have yet to do so. Nevertheless, each time I go to Brackett Field Airport and spend some time there, I start wishing I would have learned to fly a Cessna. It honestly looks like a rewarding and thrilling experience to do. If you are the kind of person that likes taking the family to the park to have a picnic, then do something a little different and bring the family over to Brackett Field Airport. The kids will enjoy seeing the planes taking off and landing, and most likely, you will too. Lastly, the airport is also near Puddingstone Lake / Bonelli Park, so you could also head on over there for a good nature walk as well after the picnic and plane watching. It is just a nice time overall, and heck, you might end up learning to fly! read more

I'm part of a non profit of moms and kids. We went to Brackett Field for a field trip. First up though, we went to the picnic tables for our own potluck before the tour. There was only one toy on the field but the kids made due. Then when the tour started, they were nice enough to meet us at the lounge, showed us a video, gave a tour of the small space before going outside and checking the field. They even let us wear their emergency fire gear for pictures and gave all the kids wooden airplanes to assemble. They even let us use their meeting room for free with our most recent meeting too. Still gave us toy planes too. Great service and seriously nice bathrooms too! read more

Great Tower Controllers and the third Sunday of the Month Antique Aircraft Display / Car Show and Hot Dog BBQ hosted by the Brackett Airport Association is the best event going. Its a GREAT place to take your kids for a Sunday of aviation fun. read more

This is a great airport! I learned to fly here so perhaps that gives me some bias. If you are interested in just watching planes land and take-off you can park on the south side by the terminal building. There are benches to sit on or you can sit on the grass or in your car. There are some coveted tables to enjoy a picnic lunch. The restaurant inside the terminal does a decent job on meals. For the pilot types reading this review. Class D airspace with part time tower. You have two parallel runways. The southern runway has VASI. If you have your instrument ticket there are 2 approaches, a VOR and ILS. Fuel on the south side. Good environment to learn as you have to deal with controllers. They are, in my opinion, the best. I once was in the pattern when Ryan kept a guy from landing gear up. I have always enjoyed flying from and visiting this airport, I hope you will too. read more

Very nice airfield. I ride my bike by there every week and I take pictures all the time. I have never been disturbed by planes and helicopters flying over my house in LA VERNE. Norms hangar is also a good restaurant to go to and watch planes. read more

Love this little airfield, my son is 2 and loves trains, cars, trucks and PLANES! He knows the minute we get there and shouts wooooohooooo! I haven't been in the restaurant this review is just for the airfield and the experience of seeing planes take off and land right in front of us , and my sons HUGEEEEEE smile on his face ! Today even in the 100 degree weather we stopped in as we were passing and just there for 20 minutes watching planes and they even have a small play plane for kids to sit on ! They have panic benches and we have brought our own food, cookies, coffee and tea and sit there and watch the planes come in ! My next adventure is to take the kids to a airshow here ! I love how close it is, it is free, and you can come and go at your leisure ! read more

the county has truly neglected this airport and has a management company that is not looking out for the best interest of the airport but instead looking to make the most profit t can for themselves. The airport could be an asset to the community but the way it is going I wold be surprised if it can make it to next decade. The airport management has always been responsive and courteous to me, even though I am not a tenant on the field. I liked things better before the management was privatized, and maybe it will revert to being run by county employees, without a keen interest in maximizing profits, but on the whole, they are doing a pretty fine job as currently constituted. read more

First of all, Brackett is and outstanding place to watch aircraft land and take off. There are helicopters, single engine planes, twin engine planes, racing planes, old vintage aircraft, but the most beautiful planes to watch are the business jets that come in. Several Law Enforcement Helicopters use Brackett for their GREAT FOOD, John's Pilot's Shop. I have seen old helicopters to new experimental type. Brackett Airport should pay attention to it's neighbors. North Pomona is getting hit hard recently ( in the past year) from low flying planes and it's not a funny matter. In keeping a log of how many planes shadow our homes on a daily basis averages 30 planes a day. They fly so low that you can read the numbers off the planes and the noise is becoming unbearable in our homes starting in the early AM to Pm. This is quite excessive and diminishes us homeowners quality of life we deserve on our properties. The officials don't seem think it is important nor are they concerned that they put us in harms way. It is a La Verne airport, then why don't they fly over La Verne residences. La Verne residences can live in peace in their homes, but we can't in North Pomona. read more

The service was horrible. When they gave us table settings we had to return 3 forks because they were dirty. On the outside counter they had dirty dishes setting out and trash all over the ground next to the trash can. When we used the bathroom the trash cans were all full and there were 3 of them, the floors and walls were dirty and it looks like the toilets hadn't been clean. The food was some what decent. The waitress dropped a dish behind a person in our party and yelled at the bus boy. We asked for crackers for the kids 3 times from 3 different waitresses because we had kids with us and the food was taking forever. Not one person brought crackers and kept walking out, finally we asked a 4th person and they said "oh were out of cracker, which they did offer us toast. Overall I would never recommend this place to anyone. I had eaten there in the past and it was better, but it has gotten worse. read more
