His front desk staff are very friendly, helpful, and professional. That was a good start. But it got better. We did not have to wait very long to see Dr. Gorin because his staff does not overbook patients, apparently. First, x-rays were taken of my knee, which only took a couple of minutes. The equipment seemed very up to date with very little hassle. Just a few minutes later, Dr. G was available for consultation and review of the x-ray results. Luckily, I got good results. I appreciated the thorough explanation of my symptoms along with the care that I should take of my knee. Dr. G has a great bedside manner and actually listens to you and answers your questions. He is friendly, professional, and cares. I feel very comfortable going back to him in the future. My daughter had the same opinion of him as I do. His office is located behind Aventura Hospital. Parking is hard to find, but they have valet service for $5. That's what we did. It's a few steps to the front entrance and elevator. Go to the 5th floor, and the first door on your left is his office. Very easy. I highly recommend him.

It took about 30 minutes to fill out all of their forms. After that I waited about fifteen minutes to be called back. The staff from the x-ray tech to the nurse were absolutely delightful! I felt very welcomed. Dr. Bridges has a fantastic bedside manner and really listened to me. He took his time examining my MRI. I felt confident in what he explained to me. He ended up draining my knee and he was very gentle and explained everything he was doing and asked if I was doing ok throughout the procedure. The whole experience was as pleasant as it could be. My dad fell and suffered multiple hip fractures and after X-rays and scans was admitted to Mt. Sinai. All the time I was told that Dr. Wittels was going to review the results and get back to us. But he didn?t until I demanded to speak with him. I thought perhaps he would at lease see my dad and talk with us about what to do for him, but he never did. My dad has been in excruciating pain. Thank?s a lot Wittels. When the nurse called you to tell you how upset I was, you did not know my dad?s case, had to have the nurse read the facts and your immediate words of apology are not accepted. You must be too busy and important to deal with a 90 year old man who is in a lot of pain and suddenly can?t walk after the fall. Thanks a lot for helping me his daughter figure out what to do. They didn't conduct any tests on him; instead, they merely administered pain medication, which seemed to worsen his condition. I advise anyone going to this hospital to bring someone along who can advocate for their care. I noticed that my dad was deteriorating instead of improving, and I felt the need to transfer him to a better facility. However, I was met with numerous excuses from the staff. While some nurses were helpful, many at North Shore seemed unsure of what they were doing. This hospital needs major changes--either to shut down temporarily and reopen with better staff or to find ways to improve immediately. There will continue to be negative reviews until the issues are addressed. It's essential to hire more competent nurses who are genuinely willing to help. After transferring my father to UM Hospital, he received immediate attention, including lab tests and a PET scan. That's how you can tell a hospital cares about getting you better. DO NOT GO TO NORTH SHORE!!!!!!

11/17/25 I'm very upset as I had been trying to contact…read moresomeone to use the bed pan for almost 30 minutes. When the pct finally arrived I have now be waiting for her to return and clean me over 45 minutes. The call button does not work. The remote control doesn't either. I hear staff outside my room door 376b talk yet no one comes in to answer my call. This is truly unacceptable and demoraling. I just want to be changed and cleaned up. One of the drs on my case can in to update me and I asked him to let them know I need to be. cleaned up. He said he would. I started the process of getting the bed pan at 9;30 am and it is now 10:33am and I am still waiting. PCT comes in now saying she forgot. It happens. TRUlY UNACCEPTABLE . There needs to be follow through for the patient. I don't bother or ask for anything just a bed pan and this is what I had to experience. Hopefully someone will read this and address the issue so others won't have to go thro this.
