I was a patient of this office for close to 2 years and up until this point it's been an amazing experience. In short the office has been unprofessional, not double checking invoices sent and not making patients aware of charges prior to appointments. Even after disputing a bill, they ignored my last message, are threatening to send to collections and "damage my credit score". I was charged more for a 5 minute consultation, in which I received no result or help with my issue, than I was for the original appointment. Customer service has declined and I'm not sure why. read more

Today I called to the office to return a call from Dayani about my negative review. Someone answered the phone HELLO so I asked if this was a doctor's office. The man answered rudely and said YES, MA'M and told me to behave as he didn't like my tone of voice. He said his name was Elvis and proceeded to place me on hold for 13 minutes and later came back to say Dayani was gone for the day. So, they get another unfavorable review. read more

I visited the office w/ severe flu-like symptoms that have kept me at home for the whole week only to find out there was no real doctor in the office at the time to see me. was prescribed medicine for coughing and sinus relief. the next day I called again requesting additional medication that I had forgotten to mention for a lip blister I was developing due to fever I was fighting on top of the rest of my symptoms. only to be denied the medication unless I paid again for a new visit. I happened to be in the building for a visit to the podiatrist on the ground floor and went upstairs to plead with the staff, to reason with them maybe, but to no avail. I will avoid being treated as a customer when I am a patient. I don't mind paying the appropriate fees either. but what I experienced today is for me unacceptable. not only I refused to pay again the previous day's co-pay, I will also look for another office, where hopefully I can be treated a bit more respectfully. my congratulations to the staff, this has never happened to me before! read more

It pains me to write this review because I've had Dr. Mones (well when I actually get to see him and not one of his PA's) as my primary care physicians for 4 years. I come in for regular this and that's, coughs, colds, lab work, etc. When I would see Dr. Mones I would get my questions answered and found him to be knowledgeable and kind. The last few times everything has just seemed so rushed, I never get to see him, and when I do he basically just relies on what the PA wrote on the notes and ping pongs between the PAs and himself. I couldn't even have him read me my lab results. I don't know it just seems so not personalized anymore. I guess it's turning into the urgent care setting and not a Drs office anymore. And then the staff at the front desk(I can't speak for all of them) but they don't have a clue when you call in, the calls always get mysteriously dropped. If you're looking for a more personalized doctor who actually takes his time and gets to know you and for possibly treating something ongoing, this is not the place to go. I hope they read this and read the other reviews that state the same. Maybe they would go back to their better ways. read more

I am a new patient who is beyond impressed with this practice! The entire staff is welcoming, cordial, patient, and excellent to interact with. The Physician Assistant I saw was knowledgeable, informative, and listened to my medical background. I am so glad I found a doctor in Miami. The team members that took my history, vitals, and blood were courteous and very helpful. The front desk staff were amazing and helped me sort out my charges and understand my costs. I started going to Dr. Mones about 8 years ago. He was recommended to me as a meticulous and caring doctor, like in the old days. I was expecting a small office but it is a modern larger and well equipped urgent care facility. I say "facility" because it has everything but in fact the atmosphere is very warm and friendly. Dr. Mones is a very straight forward doctor. He speaks to you in a professional manner and does not patronize you. I appreciate it when doctors respect their patients and he certainly does. He is experienced and knowledgeable. He is the type of doctor that wants you to be part of the medical protocol. Some doctors want to make all the decisions for you without asking you what you want. Dr. Mones, tell you what the options are, gives you suggestions, and respects your final decision. I wish all doctors were like him. The office staff are all friendly and professional. They all treat you with impeccable protocol. I've never had to wait longer that 20 minutes to be seen. His office is open every day except for Sunday!!! In summary, I think Dr. Mones is a fabulous combination of the old town doctor and a modern doctor. He is caring, knowledgeable and accessible. Nice office, bad parking. Call your insurance before any procedure. Informed yourself first. The doctor will tell you that the insurance doesn't know anything, he will start arguing with you, that he uses codes and the insurance is lying and they don't know anything. He will start arguing with you of you said that he's wrong and that the insurance don't covers that. Thats where you see that he doesn't care about your health, at first he's nice, and will greet you with a kiss and a smile..... don't get fooled !! Not going again never ah!!! And over the phone they will tell you that whatever procedure he can do it the same day, when you go they will make you wait then apologized and tried to reschedule for another visit ( mmooonneyyyyyy). read more

I really wanted to like this place. It's near my house and seems clean, but while it's great as an urgent care center, it's not someplace that will work for my as a regular doctor. The first time I went in I was a drop in. I waited about 1.5 hours to get seen and then another 30 min in the back waiting for the doc. Once the doctor came, the appointment went well. I found him knowledgeable and personable. He provides all patients with his cell number in case they have an emergency when the office is closed. He suggested I get my long overdue annual checkups for OBGYN and annual physical so I made an appointment. I was optimistic this place would work out as family doctor for regular checkups. Today I went in for my 8 AM appointment. I scheduled it for early in the morning so that I could available for work by 9:30 at the latest. I got there, signed in, let them know I had an 8 AM appointment, and then waited. At 8:25 I asked them how much longer it would be and they said 10 min. 30 minutes later I started to get really frustrated. Around 9 AM I told them to take me off the list. I can't rely on someplace that makes you wait that long for an appointment. I don't mind waiting if I'm a walk in, but the point of an appointment is to avoid the wait time. EDIT: After I wrote this review the doctor himself sent me a message apologizing. It didn't get me to go back, but I did appreciate that he took the time to reach out to me. I still think it's best for urgent care, but I'm willing to accept that I may have had my appointment on an off day for the staff. I will go back if I have an unexpected issue, but I've now found another primary care doctor who I really like. read more

I figured I'd try it out since they have pretty okay reviews Spent 20 mins on the phone with the office and called back yesterday to confirm time since I forgot. The girl on the phone then tells me 'we don't have you here in the system for an appointment' when I ask her why her response is 'since you've never been here you're not on file' If you want to go see a doctors office where the staff can't do something as simple as schedule an appointment for you then come here. read more

If you speak Spanish you may have originally thought Dr. Hairy Mono, but don't let that fool you. This is the best doctor I've ever been to, and probably the kindest staff you could find. The first time I called the office, they didn't even require me to make an appointment, or ask silly questions like "what is the reason for your visit?". They accept walk-ins, and they will see you quicker than any urgent care. They conveniently do paps, have sonogram/echo equipment, and a small pharmacy to list a few amenities. The doctor will also provide his cell phone number in case of urgency. Despite other reviews complaining about parking, there is ample FREE parking behind the building. I love that this place welcomes walk-ins and provides almost every type of medical service so you don't have to run around from doctor to doctor. It's a one-stop shop! You know, oddly pleasant experience. The place was a bit hard to find. "It's a white building," I was told, well, yeah, we're in Miami... They are all white. Better yet, for those trying to find this office, it's on 26th terrace directly AFTER the Coral Gables hospital (on the left) if you're heading south. I called ahead and said I was running late and they told me not to worry. There is very little parking here so I had to park illegally while I filled out the information for first time patients. I then returned the papers and asked the secretary if I could move my car, she told me there were still a few people in front of me, so why not. I went downstairs, parked in a designated parking spot. On my way back I received a call from Dr. Mone's office informing me I'm the next patient. That was so nice. I didn't loose my place in line or anything. When I came in I got my routine check up and 10-15 minutes after the PA was inside my room. She filled out my paper work and I was out of there in a jiffy. It was a nice experience considering all the horrible waiting I usually do at DR's offices. Dr Mones has been my first and only Primary Care Doctor since my move to Miami 8 years ago. I even continued to see him after I had moved to Fort Lauderdale (thankfully I'm back in Miami so the commute is much easier). He is extremely caring, attentive and genuinely wants the best for all of his patients. Dr Mones even gives his cell phone out in order for his patients to text him if they have a quick question or for them to follow up with him after being seen in his office. I came into the office after looking for a doctor with friendly office hours for working professionals. I found them on Zoc doc. I luckily was able to make this office my primary with my medical insurance. Upon walking in I was instantly happy. The whole entire staff was so friendly and open. No huge lines to wait for service, if you make an appointment. I also like the fact that you can just walk in if you need to. Very open office, which is great! I came in for a regular annual physical, but i recently had a major negative event take place in my life. Dr Brittany really helped me soo soo sooo much!! I recently visited Dr. Mones office due to a stomach flu. PA provided lab works and asked to wait for the results within 5 days. 2 days later, I recieved a call stating to go and see the doctor due to some abnormalities. I went again to get my results and (GOT CHARGED AGAIN) just to get results. Got RESULTS from a difference PA.. ( nothing wrong!) just a whole in my pocket AGAIN!! I decided to make the best of it and ASKED the PA to provide me with some temp.sleeping meds since lately I have been stressing. HER REPLY WAS: " Get a hobby and find an entertainment in my life!" Really, I was told this by a FEMALE PA Cocky and RUDE. I get better attention at CVS or Walgreens. Done with this Doctor...better yet with Cocky PAs!! read more

Miami Urgent Care is absolutely hands down the best doctors office I have ever been to. No appointment required. Wait time is 30 minuets or less. Most common exams can be done on site, including x-ray, blood work, urine, ultrasound, EKG, etc. When I had no insurance and had to pay cash, price was extremely affordable. Staff is extremely nice. Doctor gives personal cell number, and answers texts religiously. I feel extremely lucky to have found Dr. Harris Mones and Miami Urgent Care. read more

I agree that the office staff has ups and downs but the clinical care is 5 stars consistently. I have been going to Mones for over 6 years and have never had anything but excellent care. I've got allergy and sinus problems and my daughter gets bronchitis. They don't mess around or give you a hassle about prescribing antibiotics when you know you need them. This is a breath of fresh air after dealing with Pharmacy quick clinics who won't give antibiotics even after you have been sick for 2 weeks and you are getting worse. Thank GOD I found Mones. Their office is open nights and weekends too. Yes, you may wait awhile, but it is WAY quicker and less expensive than the ER and way less stressful than spending time and money at a minute clinic only to be told it is probably viral and use nose spray. UGH. Like I wasn't smart enough to have done that already. Mones and his staff are the real deal. I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else now. I was very disappointed and overall dissatisfied with the service I received. I called several times to speak with a supervisor to correct a billing issue that one of the front desk clerks accidentally did. I was giving the runaround every single time. I was told the name of the office manager was "Danny" no last name and that he only works 3 days a week from Wednesday to Friday and only in the afternoons. After numerous attempts one of the front desk girls transferred me to his direct line for which I left a voicemail. This man never returned my messages or voicemail. I was also told to text their main number that Dr. Mones himself will receive this text, that was also a lie, I immediately received an invalid return text message. I wish Dr. Mones would read this and would be a lot easy to reach. read more

Find another physician!!! First you will never see the doctor just there PA's. The PA's are great but it's very impersonal, if I wanted a PA I would go to the minute clinic in Walgreens. You never see the same PA, plus instead of writing in the chart they speak into a computer. The walls are very thin and I'm sure everyone around can hear your history and problems....kinda a hippa violation I think. I had an appointment for 1;45 and I'm still sitting in the waiting room (2:45).. What is the point of making a appointment? Do yourself a favor... Trust me .. I will never recommend their Urgent Care. My family member was recently there and the medical care that was given was absolutely horrible. She had to see another physician who was shocked no medication was prescribed and patient was sent home with over the counter meds. AHCA should conduct an investigation into this private practice. Dr. Mones is the best doctor I've come across. When I used to work in Miami Beach I opted for this location. It's a clean facility with an organized staff. I love the fact they offer weekend hours, which is what I mainly wanted. Dr. Mones is a family practitioner who truly takes his time to address any questions or concerns. I felt so comfortable with him and his team. When Dr. Mones is not around he has his PA's assisting him. Unfortunately, his office is too far away from me now to continue going but I HIGHLY recommend him if he's nearby you. read more

My only comment is that he does not like to treat people that have doctors who are already treating or prescribing. I've held off writing this review so as not to base my opinion on just one visit. But today was the topper that has me thinking of finding another doctor. Their greatest advantage is the flexibility of their hours and the ability to pay cash for those who do not have insurance. They offer several diagnostic services on site and they have a couple of waiting areas that are comfortable, clean and even offer TV and iPads while you wait. My issues are generally with the support staff. They lost my mother's bloodwork and other samples last time she went, se she isn't going back. When I went for an injection to get rid of a migraine they didn't have the medication in stock. They have never offered samples of anything or discount cards. And today, I had to put them on the phone with my pharmacy so they could argue over whose jobs it is to get a prescription pre-authorization. I felt obligated to call my pharmacist to apologies for the attitude of this offices support staff. And come to think of it, the doctor under whose name they operate has never actually seen me. I always get a PA. That said, they seem to know their stuff. In contrast, my brother has had far more positive experiences. Sadly, in Miami this seems to be the norm and not the exception. Any recommendations in the Kendall are welcome. I think it may time to change. read more

I had a horrible three days experience at this office. First of all, you would never see the dr unless you requested for him. The PA will see you instead. She was cold and uncaring and when I asked for prescription (I can barely walk nor bend my finger). She told me to get over the counter medicine. Then I insisted if I can either see the dr or get a prescription. She finally left me in the room for 20 mins and returned with 10 5 mg percocets. Three days later, I was in pain so I call the office and they told me to come right away. I ended waited three hours to see the same PA again. I asked her why I suddenly have numbness and swollen on the bottom of my foot. She did not give any answer. I was sweaty bc of the pain so I asked if she can give another day of percocet. She said that the dr was not there and interestingly enough I heard his voice next door. So I demanded to see Dr Mones. He told me he would give 6 pills and I thank him and left. Would you like to know the surprise? He gave me 5 pills instead of 6. I did not realize it bc I don't think he would put his name and reputation over one pill. I went to cvs and that when I realized that I only got 5 instead of 6 pills. I was furious because it is not about the pill but the fact that he lied to me. So I call his office and instead of fixing the situation, they told to come in. I waited for two hours and was told to wait at the back waiting room. I ended walking around and admired the aquarium and took some pictures of his Nemo fish. The last thing that I least expected it is he screamed at me and told me to go back to my seat. It was by far the most embarrassing experience in my life so I walk to the receptionist, ask to cancel my next appointment when a very nice PA asked if he could talk to me. He did not even ask why I was upset but whether I was working or not and since I am planning to go to school he asked me where I got the money to support me. I wonder if I just face the devil advocate? Why does it matter if I am working or not and why does he care how I support myself. A few minutes later Dr Mones came in and ask me what the problem was so I told him that he told me the he would give six pills for my pain then he gave me five instead. His answered was the most infuriating answer I have ever had in my life. He said he did tell me six but he changed to five because he is the Doctor and there is nothing I can do about it for him to cheat me out of one pill. Maybe for him it was him nothing but I was in a horrible pain. One pill can works wonder for my pain. A Dr was sworn under oath to put his patient first and not belittle or made me wait two hours, screamed at me and finally told that he lied after I spend my hours waiting on him thinking that he would be fair. If he can lie to you as your doctor about your medication, can you trust him with your body and your health? I would not. For anyone who has not been to Dr Mones office, please save your time and money unless you like the experience I had yesterday. I am even thinking I need a Psychiatrist to heal my trauma dealing with Dr Jekill. read more

Dr. Mones is truly fantastic. I tend to be of the thinking that doctors are full of crap and haven't cured a disease since syphilis, but Dr. Mones give me new faith in the profession. He is almost always available for an appointment and if he isn't, his very nice, young PA is. Dr. Mones is also happy to give you his cell number if you go to him on a Friday and are worried about issues arising over the weekend. My girlfriend and I have been going to him for two or three years now and he has always taken care of us. I feel like every time one of us gets truly sick, its on a Friday, and yet he always manages to get us in to a specialist or testing facility on the same day. All in all, great Doctor. They take walk ins though, so you usually should plan on waiting 30 minutes if you have a morning appointment and an hour if you have an afternoon appointment. Not the place to receive quality care. You have to specifically ask to see Dr Mones, if not you will be assigned a PA to see you. This is after you are left waiting a long time to be seen as appointment times are not respected. The PA Brittney is very cold and uncaring. And as for Dr Mones, he belittles you and makes you feel stupid if you disagree with his opinion. A doctor should first, listen and then be empathetic to how the patient feels in order to help heal. Are we forgetting the reason why we became a doctor in the first place? Avoid and go elsewhere. read more

Doctor is great, his staff is also very nice. The wait can sometimes be a little much but I work close by and if there is a problem, I can always come back. I had pre-hypertension and he urged me to change things in my diet to avoid medication. We got on a program and got it done. Another doctor would have prescribed right away. read more

This review pertains to PA. Rebecca. She was professional and as soon as she came in the room with her smile she put me at ease. Her bedside manner is exceptional, she actually listens to the patient and asks probing questions to investigate the root of the cause. Her explanations are understandable and includes the patient in the plan of action. I was not very convinced about this place the previous 2 times I had to go there, it felt like I was being seen in the ER or Urgent Care (very rushed and very rigid environment) even though I had appointments.
