When trying to schedule an appointment my calls frequently go unanswered and voicemails unreturned. This led to a particularly irritating situation where I'd called to cancel an appointment, couldn't reach anyone, left a voicemail, and still received a no-show bill. Now I'm trying to switch dentists and am running into the same issues with the front desk staff while trying to get my husband and I's dental records. Dr. Ken is genuinely nice and seems to do quality work but it's not worth the hassle of dealing with his unresponsive front desk staff.

I made my appointment a couple months in advance in order to accommodate schedules and so I appreciated the text reminders as the appointment drew near. My whole experience was an utter delight. I felt seen, heard, and taken care of. Everyone was so nice and approachable. They checked in with me often, told me what was happening, and gave helpful pointers. I ended up with a retainer and mouthguard which they were able to scan for in the office using a digital mouth scanner. I had flashbacks to the old putty trays and just appreciating that is no longer a practice. Billing transparency was clear. I ended paying a bit more due to my insurance not covering everything, but the office called me immediately upon learning. I really found the whole experience a vast improvement over my last two at other practices.

She and her staff are absolutely the best. She is kind, caring, professional, and talented. I have had some good and some horrible dental experiences in the past, and she is far and away the best dentist I have ever had. And my kids love her as well. All of her staff are the same, and everyone there tries to meet your needs more than I have ever experienced elsewhere. I shudder to think about looking for another dentist if we move far away, or if Dr. Bova retires. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I have been a patient in Dr Maruhashi's clinic for 4-5 years…read more 1. On my first visit to the clinic, I was told to do a x-ray exam. When I asked if my insurance will cover, the answer was yes. But it turned out to be false. And I have to pay for it. I would expect they admit their mistake. I don't think that $50 is a big deal for them. 2. I have a lot of pain when my teeth was having infection and the nerve was dying. I called on Thu and was told that clinic is closed on Friday. But I was not told that in such case I can schedule urgent care on Sat. So I have to bear the pain for another 3 days till Monday. 3. A late cancellation of follow up appt for the root canal and have to reschedule. This is fine. But when I arrived on time for the rescheduled appt, I had to wait for almost an hour. It will be great if they can just tell me they are running behind and I can arrive late instead of sitting and waiting. I have work to do. From my experience, I feel I am not valued as a patient and the staffs do not take responsibility for their own mistakes.

I called and made my first appointment and was there for nearly 2 hours as they do a VERY thorough intro exam. They did full mouth X-rays and photos of each individual tooth so they have records and can watch any changes etc. The hygienist staff were all lovely - and I think it's the nice added touch that they each try to fill and refill their water bottles (for when they shoot water in your mouth) with warm water as to not zing your teeth! I also have the added expense / benefit of being able to share my experience also with fillings and crowns :) Dr Strelow and team are so fun and easy going, they really make the experience as pleasant as possible. They communicate consistently about what is happening - but not in an annoying manner. You get to pick the movie they plug you into and then they get to work. When they are going to change what they are doing you get the heads up 'you're going to feel some pressure here' or 'pinch coming' 'keep breathing' - and they are very responsive when you note that the anesthesia is wearing off. Dr Strelow quickly tops you off and then they get back to work. I did start going during Covid, and am very pleased with their precautions. You call upon arriving and then sit in your car until they call you back. They only have 1 person in the entryway at once. You are brought in, temp checked, hand sanitizer, then walked back to your chair. They have a new mouthwash thing which actually tastes nice and minty ;) they have air purifiers going and are doing everything they can to keep you and them safe while climbing into your mouth. If you're looking for a great dentistry team that is thorough and kind - this is your office!

The administrative staff is very friendly and professional, payment options are limited (charging fees for debit card use, only taking checks without extra processing fees). Overall - stay away, there are better dental places that are run by professional doctors with a customer-friendly attitude.

At the first appointment, it took multiple (5-6) injections - never had that many before. I experienced discomfort and pain for about a week after this first appointment, which I heard is abnormal for this sort of procedure. Then when the doctor could not successfully apply local anesthesia, yet again, at the crown fitting, he just went ahead with the procedure even after I told him and his assistant multiple times that I still felt pain. While anesthesia is not always required for this procedure, I specifically shared with the team that I wanted to be numbed due to my pain tolerance and teeth sensitivity. When I kept squirming in the chair and groaning, the doctor remarked, "Oh, you really feel the pain?" as if I'd been faking it all along. After this experience, my partner and I decided to look for a new dentist - someone who actually cares about his patients.

I came in to get some simple fillings done, and I'm now saddled with hundreds of dollars of bills, to pay for procedures that screwed up my teeth. The doctors left (with full knowledge) overhangs on both of my fillings. This means that whenever I flossed, the floss would catch on the fillings and pull on them. The dentist informed me that this was normal and I would just need to pull through my floss for the rest of my life. After a month of pain, I went back to ask why the fillings still hurt. They took x-rays, shaved one of them down a little bit, and told me the other was fine and I should go home. I developed hot and cold sensitivity. I finally visited another dentist with 30+ years experience. I've now learned that purposely leaving overhangs on fillings is absolutely not normal, and that what they've done is careless at best. I saw the x-rays myself this time, and you can clearly see the sharp, jagged overhang's that were left after the fillings were put in. I've also learned that One of the filling simply broke because of the way that they left the overhangs. Until I've had over $700 in dentistry bills, and six months of dismissed pain. I know I will likely need a root canal in one of the teeth, and I needed to get both fillings replaced. This place looks great on the outside. The customer service is excellent. However, I would caution anyone against blindly trusting that this office knows what they're doing.

Because I had such an amazing experience! 5 second numbing, and fast painless extraction (literally seconds for a molar) ! Dr. Streelman is honestly the kindest, calmest and most talented oral surgeon I've ever met. He has this peaceful confidence about him that just makes you relax and trust you're in good hands and his hands are guided and skilled. He works with so much grace and focus but still has this quiet joy that shows he really cares. When he pulled my tooth it was unbelievably quick -- like finished in seconds. It was totally painless and somehow even comforting! Time went by way too fast! You can tell he puts his whole heart into what he does. You can also see how much he gives of himself every day with the blessed calling he has and right path he's on, and it honestly made me happy and really meant a lot when we had a little bit of lightness and laughter in the middle of it. He's just real, kind, and easy to be around and extremely professional, talented, and genuinely an awesome Doctor! They gave me the most detailed post-op instructions I've ever had, super clear and easy to follow. Kyle was super reassuring, poured extra details for at home care and cared more than I've ever experienced anywhere else, he made sure I left with extra gauze and supplies and explained everything so I'd feel good once I got home. I had to get off the phone, but I call back a few days later. When I called back they changed their mind. They not only aren't accepting new patients but they also lied to me about taking my insurance. The folks working at the front desk were rude to me. I was referred to them and seeking help. I asked to talk to someone else at the office for more information and they declined. If a doctor allows this level of deception and disrespect in the most front facing part of their practice, I can't imagine what goes on on the operating table.
