This agency committed to a rate on a 6 month contract and then 2 months later said "Oops, we made a mistake...you now owe us 50% more" on the CURRENT 6 month contract they just committed to! I didn't think insurance companies could do this, but they did! They blamed corporate and never put customer service at the top of their priority list. They could have easily made an adjustment, but after numerous phone calls they still wouldn't budge. read more

It's all good until you have a claim...then you'd think you were dealing with Allstate! They want to short cut, nickel and dime and not actully pay the amount of the claim. We had a storm hit Schaumburg last summer. When 80% of the homes got their claims settled reasonably, these guys sent out a team of shiest er adjusters from out of state and never actually settled our two claims in full. One for our cars that was damaged, and our home that as damaged. They only want to pay half of what their adjuster claims, then their adjuster approved payment for about 10% of what the actual cash value of damages were. I got ZERO for the damages on my car and a tiny payout for repairs on the house. We couldn't even repair the damage with what they paid. What a joke. Shopping for a new carrier now. State Farm? Never again! STAY AWAY FROM STATE FARM ALTOGETHER!!!!! read more

I received a auto quote for a friend of mine last week. I have provided my credit card since he doesn't have one and asked the agent to charge Cc only for one month premium. I was surprised to see my credit card was charged for the entire 6 months' premium. The amount charged was higher than the 6 months premium. I did not receive a courtesy call informing me about the increased amount. I was told it is (new premium amount) what it is. There is not much else they can do. read more

We joined Brad Sutter when our previous agent, Chuck Brazelton--who was amazing--retired & he sold his business to Sutter a few years ago. We had an auto insurance claim three years ago, when another driver hit my husband head on. It went fine, but we never dealt with the office, just the claims office, who were right on top of things. I did need to get an emergency copy of an insurance card a few months ago, and they responded right away. What I'm marking them down on is the marketing, I guess. First, they were constantly calling with sales calls on my cell phone while I was at work--for some reason, that became their default number. I asked them not to call me on the cell and to change it to our landline home phone at least half a dozen times before it was changed (It was also a different person always calling, so I think they've got an outside marketing company doing work for them). Then, I've called them off & on for months now asking for a callback on some additions I'm looking into for our homeowners. I ask for a callback at home on Friday afternoon. So they call on Wednesday morning, when no one's there. I call back on Friday, but the person I need to talk to isn't there (only one person can talk to me about this?). This happened numerous times--I ask for a call on Tuesday a.m. when my husband's home, and they call on Thursday afternoon. What's up with that? Are they illiterate? Do the people taking the messages not include this information? It's very frustrating. I'm happy in general with State Farm, but kinda meh when it comes to this office. read more

This agency did not support me when I needed them most. Brad does not take any ownership for his clients and was never available.It was great until something actually happened and I needed help. It was like the commercials about the insurance companies that do not support you but do take your money on a monthly basis.Very disappointed and looking elsewhere. read more

Today I called Brad Sutter's office and some lady Laurie came to talk. When I told her about my experience w VIP auto body, she flat out told me that she is not bothered by how vip autobody treats its customers. And she was defending them.. She came around only after 5 min of my asking again and again if that's how state farm/Brad Sutter wants his clients treated their longtime customers...I really think they ve a scam w the VIP autobody to intimidate customers and make the customers pay for what is not their fault.. I am v disappointed w their response and scam and want to take my business elsewhere. We ve been w Brad Sutter for atleast 16 yrs and this is the respect he has trained his office to give clients... It was recommended by state farm and I took my car...The guy there took pictures standing far. And then when I called to let him know that the driver door was not closing properly and that there was a metallic noise everytime I closed the door...Jimmy told me that he will take care of it. When I went to drop my car, the guy Jason was there and I made sure he understands what the problem was. But when I went to pick the car. Jimmy denied knowing it and Jason initially told me that they could not do anything about it and that it was going to have the door be like that. Then I took Jimmy to the car and he claimed he is deaf so he could not appreciate it. Then I took him to each door and made him feel each door how it was not fully closing fully. He basically raised his voice and started intimidating me that nothing can be done about it. And then Jason chimed in. And Jimmy basically told me that he does not care that State farm was notified as they will listen to him. So I took pictures and called State Farm. I think they ve a deal w State farm to intimidate clients and do as little work as possible so they are in good books w State Farm. Awful service and not only that they were trying to intimidate w their burly selves and raised and rude voice and talks. read more
