Our questions involved having to run different scenarios, and he systematically entered them into the system to provide that to us over the phone. He provided the pros/cons of each scenario, and ultimately encouraged us to make the final decisions. We used to think so highly of State Farm and dismissed the news reports that they were hard to work with. But now after waiting a year to try and get our roof replaced, we are still in the same situation as we were a year ago with more issues. This office will not help you when you need it most because you can't actually talk to anyone except the office number which is manned by a person who just wants you to hang up angry. In my former work in customer service, I could never talk to a customer that way. I am still left going to bed every night thinking about keeping my children safe and how State Farm and this office have done nothing but delay this claim and make the same argument that a replacement isn't warranted. We now have to worry about leaking as the repairs made aren't holding up because they insist they only need to repair. This office will only work to get you as a new customer but will not advocate for you when you need help. Shop around and you'll be better service when you really need it

The level of service provided over that time start out great but has rapidly deteriorated over the last couple of years into what we have today and is a symptom of both corporate policy and local agent apathy towards anyone that doesn't represent new policies or business. It would be easy to say that I'm a disgruntled customer or that I have a vendetta against State Farm. Vendetta's are for evil villains in movies and unhappy customers are a dollar a dozen. I fully admit that this review is driven by recent events related to trying to get a claim properly investigated. The reality of the matter is that once you are a customer of State Farm, you are kind of stuck there and you have to hope that any claim doesn't get sucked into the black hole of corporate hell that allows them to pass off claims, escape accountability, and let's them continue collecting premiums while they try to get you to quit them by waiting you out or forcing you to look elsewhere. I don't have to list the numerous articles that talk about how State Farm coverage isn't what it used to be and homeowners are waiting a year or more like myself to get valid claims taken seriously. But again, this isn't about State Farm itself. This office isn't going to take your claims seriously and when you call to talk to someone, they say they will take a message. When you ask to speak to John Kim himself, you're rudely told that they don't give out personal or business numbers. I admit I was mad when I asked for it but I was not expecting to be so rudely rebuffed when asking to speak to anyone who would know what is going on. It's a shame that this office can no longer provide a "Like a friendly neighbor, State Farm is there" vibe. Before this phone call, I emailed asking for a call back but as of 36 hours plus later, I still haven't received a phone call or email back. This was after emailing two previous times over the last six months that I receive regular updates. So here I am with my roof still not fixed and the repairs blowing in the wind. If you're expecting responsiveness, a friendly voice when you're upset, or quality service....You really should look elsewhere because that's something they simply won't be able to do. When you're in trouble, you will not be able to get the quality or service you need to put your mind at ease. Do you want someone who can't come to the phone or an office who won't let you talk to an agent when your in trouble? I will inevitably be commented on by the agency for lying but I will produce emails and a detailed statement to anyone who asks.

After calling in to find out the news I was told the policy premium went up over 2x. I cancelled and am with another company. This is some of the worst service I have ever received. I would strongly advise staying clear of this location, there are much better agents out there. UPDATE: upon the policy fully cancelling State Farm has issued me a refund of ~$550 instead of the over $2,000 I am due. This is because they are calculating the refund amount off the new higher premium that I never agreed to pay. A VERY shady practice, and the customer service from Joe's team was absolutely non-existent. I have had to deal with them and the underwriters through escalations with the corporate office. Even the corporate office said multiple times my agent should be handling this directly by having conversations with the underwriter. Very early in the process this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had, at this point it is simply hard to believe that a business could care so little.

I recently…read morepurchased a new SUV in March 2021 and when I spoke to Ines in February for a quote to plan for what my insurance premium change would be, she was so kind and helpful! She was patient, friendly, informative and helpful. When I finally purchased the car, she made the process seamless for me and it was super simple! I was pleased with the rate I was given since I was going from a small sedan to a SUV, and was expecting a greater rate increase. (NOTE: I do have a perfect driving record and strong credit) I had an extremely bad experience with my homeowners insurance claims adjuster the last time I had a claim. His treatment of me was profanely discriminatory and extremely racist, and though I had to subject myself to this disparate treatment in the moment, I knew that after ample time, I was going to drop my home insurance company and check out State Farm. It has been a number of years since that small claim and so I felt confident I wouldn't get higher rates quoted to me because of that claim- a decent amount of time has passed. Because I had such a pleasant experience with Ines, I knew I could contact her to get a quote for my homeowners insurance. I reached out to her by email, just to get the ball rolling since my annually paid homeowners insurance would be up for renewal in October. I sent a copy of my current policy declaration so she could see what I was looking for to be covered in my quote from State Farm. Ines was so kind and quickly sent me a quote and we set up a time to discuss by phone. She went over the quote line by line, so that I would understand that I was getting the same coverage that was in my current policy. In many cases I was getting even more coverage than my current policy and when she told me my annual premium, it was substantially less than my current racist insurance provider! I also have a life insurance policy with the racist provider, which I took out in exchange for a lower bundled insurance rate on my home insurance. I asked Ines for quotes on a comparable policy because I plan to cancel everything with the racist insurance company so they will no longer get a dime of my hard earned money. Ines quickly provided me a quote for the life insurance and so because of her, I am switching BOTH my home and life insurance to State Farm. Ines has been a joy to work with and I look forward to my continued relationship with State Farm!
