I'm utterly dissatisfied with Jonathan Atilano. He lied to me about the policy price and promised a credit to me. I called him directly and his office several times to follow up. He didn't respond to any of my calls and his office assistant kept telling me the check was in the mail. Jonathan encouraged his staff to lie too! I've had many insurance agents over the years, however Johnathon was by far the worst experience. As if dealing with a total loss isn't stressful enough Johnathon really made it even more special for me as far as I had to retrieve the power of attorney three separate times from a cop parts lot. I've never even heard of anyone having to do this before I felt like everything I did was an entire battle and had to beg for the bear essentials. Since then I have switched insurance agents. I am still with Allstate, however The agent I'm with now treats me with utter most respect Johnathon on the other hand, made me feel stupid and talk down to me in a condescending weight almost every time guaranteed warning look elsewhere. read more

I tried to support a local business by purchasing both Homeowners & Auto insurance from Atilano. Although the Homeowners policy went through without a hitch, somehow my bank account number was not submitted correctly and, unknown to me, I was without car insurance until I realized it on my own (Atilano didn't tell me). I tried contacting them several times to check status and find out why, without any return phone calls. I went to their office, which as closed. It took me over a month to straighten this out on my own. Please do not use this company. read more

This guy makes all kinds of promises, but he rarely delivers! Every time we call, they tell us they'll call us back with the information we've requested, but they NEVER do. You have to call them over and over again, and sometimes, that doesn't even work. We were with Lou Stavroplus before Jonathan took over, and Lou was amazing! In the beginning, Jonathan seemed like he would be like Lou, like he'd go that extra mile for you, but that quickly stopped. The last time we called, they told us a 30% increase in our rates was just a standard rate increase. We have been with Allstate for 23 years, and thanks to Johnathan, we will now go to State farm and receive a more than 50% reduction in our insurance costs!! read more

Every year he promised reduction, but never materialized unless berated about it, then came the moment when I moved out of state closed my account and got my refund for the remainder of unused payment. Or so I thought, bill arrived for non payment, that's add I though, said he would take care of it 3 different times. Collection agency came after me then came the dodging of calls. UPDATE: to overcome this review, ALLSTATE stooped to a new low. The direct manager for Jonathan , Matt Maloney posted a positive review for Jonathan even though Matt was past involved and has never explained his false claim that they had "specific verbiage" confirming a request to have coverage removed. That never happened. The below stands and the "review" written by Matt has been reported to YELP since they forbid reviews written from within the company Please see my other reviews. In general they are very positive. I don't like writing a negative review, but Jonathan either made a mistake and will not admit to it or he deliberately sold a policy knowing it offered no coverage. Either way, he stopped responding (to an active client) and he then made statements saying the insured authorized removal of coverage. He claimed he had specific verbiage proving this. Jonathan has not responded to multiple requests to provide the specific verbiage. Furthermore, Jonathan placed a policy on a vacant rehabbed home to be flipped. The problem is that we now find out that Allstate doesn't have a policy for a vacant home in this situation. There was no misunderstanding. Jonathan knew. He didn't have any info saying it was a rental or anything. He knew it was vacant and on the market. He knew the history. I have copies of numerous unanswered email messages. Jonathan may say that i am not the insured. He is correct. The policy is not in my name. It is in the name of the investor. Jonathan knows this. The issue remains the same. I look forward to Jonathan's reply as I have plenty of email and will be happy to outline inconsistencies and inaccuracies. I can show how Jonathan started saying the loss would need to be filed by the insured directly (which we did), then he tried to convince us that the deductible made the claim not worthwhile (he was happy to offer his suggestion in this area). Then, when pressed, he said the claim wouldn't be covered due to theft. He then said that the insured removed theft and vandalism (with specific wording which was still not provided). Ask yourself why would you take out an expensive policy on a vacant rehabbed flip home only to exclude coverage for theft and vandalism. That never happened. When questioned extensively (through his managers because he wouldn't reply) it was eventually disclosed that ALLSTATE does not even have a policy that would cover a vacant flip home like this. So why was it issued? if it doesn't exist how was coverage removed? None of it makes sense. I look forward to Jonathan's reply. NOTE: i expect Jonathan will say this was investigated and there was no wrongdoing. This was "investigated" internally and the rep who called back didn't know even the basics. The investigator referred to the home as a rental. He didn't know basic details. Jonathan failed to provide guidance, security, assistance, or even timely correspondence. I suspect things would be be fine if this were a standard home policy with owner occupants. That sort of claim is cookie cutter type and I imagine most agents handle that fine. Jonathan could have said from the beginning that Allstate didn't have a policy for a vacant home like this. I was surprised when he said they did. Jonathan put the insured at risk and now the insured is at a loss because he trusted Jonathan. It should also be noted that Jonathan and Allstate eventually cited small print in the policy when they were pressured into details. How many of you actually read the small print for loopholes? I would expect this from the old "used car sales" stories from decades ago. I didn't expect it from Allstate. Allstate has been very cautious about replying in email; they call instead despite numerous requests to email. Allstate managers wrote that they had specific verbiage to remove coverage for theft and vandalism. They will not respond to the request to see this specific verbiage. They claim it is "on the application" and "in notes". Who wrote that? Jonathan? Allstate? Imagine using that defense. Where is your proof? "oh, its right here in my writing where i verify that you said something". huh? "In Good Hands"? I don't think so. If anyone wants further info please contact me.
