First of all, the lobby is…read moresuper soothing and spa-like, with a coastal vibe, and they have a bunch of choices of tea or Nespresso. When you get to the chair, they'll have sunglasses for you so the lights aren't in your face, and if you are having a long procedure, you can watch a video of your choosing. But more importantly, the dentists (I've seen Dr. Simonsen and Dr. Melhem both) are kind, gentle, and thorough. I had two crowns, my first ever, a few years ago, and I was VERY nervous, since I have had previous fillings and extractions with inadequate anesthesia. The office has a long and detailed questionnaire where you can identify your triggers and they offer you ways to ameliorate them. I started feeling the work partway through and Dr. Simonsen stopped to re-numb me, instead of carrying on like dentists I've had in the past. They also offered breaks, and got me a ball from the prize chest to squeeze so I wouldn't maul my palms. The hygienists, Alison and Lisa, are also both great. Friendly, gentle, and detail oriented. They'll get you sparkling clean without making your mouth sore. I actually don't dread going for a cleaning!

Had they checked coverage they could have waited a couple of months and my insurance would have covered the x-rays. Poor service on their part, only looking out for their financial gains. This review is mostly regarding the office-- and NOT the Dr. himself…read more Earlier this year I had a tooth issue I needed to get looked at-- I called his office and whomever answered let me know unfortunately that they did not take my insurance -- which I thought was weird since I know others that have my same insurance go there. My previous dentist had retired so my records had been transferred to on his office. Nonetheless I was suggested to look elsewhere because it would be "cheaper to go with someone that took my insurance. " Come to go find out more than 6 months later---- that my tooth I had concerns about is now dead and can't be fixed. The later dentists that took my insurance could not help me with my main issue, and had me go to other offices. They had to refer me to one whose a specialist where they can't take my insurance right away--- but will bill later what they can. I'm disheartened that this office could have been upfront with me and have done the same....and possibly save me more time, and most importantly, my tooth.

She forgot one and the second time she got her dentist and dr appointments mixed up and went to the wrong one. The wonderful lady Beatrice who calls us is so nice and understanding about all of this. My five stars are for Beatrice as she calls us both before the appointment and reminds both of us. Towards the end of the procedure, they let me know that I actually already hit the limit of my insurance and that I owed $1600 for the work was done. WOW! That's A LOT!! There was not much I could do...what was done was done. I asked if there was ANYTHING I could do. They said I could pay $800 right then, and $800 next month. I am disappointed. If I would have known that it was going to be $1600 out of my pocket, I would have waited until next year. Make sure to get quotes...but even then, make sure the quotes are accurate. Besides that, the office was nice and the procedures were done well.
