No one seems to care much. Im glad I didn't find a way to get my Mother into that place. If they cant handle a simple $500 refund , imagine the care a loved one will get. Next step. Small claims court. What a shame it has to come to that , but Im not going away.

There are so many features offered at StoryPoint that it's difficult to list them all but most are included in the rent. The meals offered are nutritious and delicious. The staff includes a doctor and nurse available for the residents and transportation is offered for medical appointments. I must say that everyone is so friendly at StoryPoint and I feel very fortunate to be a resident here.

I'm leaving this review based on my experience while providing care to a resident at Maple Knoll…read more Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed and uncomfortable with what I witnessed. During my time there, I observed situations where a resident's call light remained on for an extended period while staff members were sitting in the hallway talking and laughing. I found myself having to assist with many of the resident's needs because staff were not responding as promptly as I would have expected. I understand that I am there to provide support, and I am more than willing to help, but there are certain things I cannot do because I do not have the same access or responsibilities as facility staff. I also witnessed interactions from some staff and therapy personnel that came across as impatient and unkind. Residents in a care facility deserve patience, dignity, compassion, and prompt attention--especially when they are asking for assistance. What bothered me most was seeing staff socializing and laughing in the hallway while a resident was waiting for assistance. Whether or not there were other circumstances I was unaware of, the situation did not give me confidence in the level of attentiveness being provided. I'm sharing this because I genuinely hope management takes these concerns seriously. The residents deserve better. They deserve to feel cared for, respected, and heard--not like they are an inconvenience.

I have never liked going to them since I…read morewas a child because they just exude so much sadness, and "the end is near" resonates in my head as I cross over into that threshold. When I heard the news that my grandpa was being transferred to this nursing home from the hospital my heart sank. I didn't wan to go. Hospitals are bad enough, but nursing homes...ugh. Not to get too much into my personal life, but my grandpa is there because he needs to have physical therapy after a mini stroke. I honestly didn't know nursing homes offered such services, and I decided to go and see what this was all about. As I pulled into the parking lot of the nursing home, my stomach knotted up and my heart started to beat a little faster. Old images of preconceived ideas shot up as old memories thrust themselves forward and I was dreading it. I gathered my wits, and walked into the lobby. The receptionist must be used to the regulars that come in because she didn't offer to help me, and didn't require me to sign in. I asked her where to go, and she gave me a vague idea after I walked through the double doors. Once I walked in to the main section, I have to admit I was a bit surprised. The halls were well lit, and ironic as it sounds, the place didn't smell of the traditional nursing homes that I remember from the past. There were some people sitting in the halls, but the majority of them were smiling and seemed happy, and well taken care of. When I got down to the physical therapy section to see my grandpa, I was surprised to see a chorus going, and the halls were swelling with beautiful and happy voices singing songs that I'm sure invoked many memories of youth. In the physical therapy ward I was even more pleased when I saw the staff and how they treated the people. They knew each one by name, and treated them all with kid gloves, while still being encouraging enough to get them to do their therapy. It made me feel so much better, and I'm so glad that I actually went down there to see this place. The people weren't just wandering around looking lost, and every chair and bed had an alarm on it in case that resident got up or fell at any time. When it comes to nursing homes, this one definitely seems to be high on the list and has definitely changed my stereotypical view of these places. Keep up the great work Tri-County Extended Care, and thank you for putting me a little more at ease.

Their favorite Phrase is "that's not my job" and they do not have Michelin food or an ice cream…read moreshop or bakery. The "ice cream shop is in assisted living and closed most of the time. Not what they advertise at all! I had to have a room mate and the bathroom was shared by four people and you don't even get your own tv. They just ignored me for three days while I was there no help doing anything! Honesty is not in their vocabulary. And I was left in the same outfit I came in I felt gross and I asked for a tub of water and washcloths but I already told you what they say. So that didn't happen. I was fortunately I could leave!

My Dad was here for just over 3 years. He received good care, kept clean and well fed. The staff…read morenot only helped him but also myself during his duration there. Towards his final days, it was apparent that staff had become family. I encourage you to go take a tour of the facility and see for yourself. I spent a lot of time pounding pavement looking for a good place for Dad and I was never sorry about my decision.

It's hard to live in New Jersey, with a recently widowed parent living in Cincinnati. While I can't move to the Midwest to care for Mom, I can rest easy because of the highly personal, supportive environment that Mom lives in at Mallard Cove. The staff truly cares and has done everything imaginable to mitigate the necessary quarantines for COVID-19. While they are very protective of their residents and have put in place sensible measures, they listen with genuine concern and respect, which decreases resident's sense of isolation. Mom and Dad lived happily at Mallard Cove for six years. The transition to life on her own has been tough for Mom, but she is grateful to continue in a place that has become home. She speaks with such affection of the staff and all they're doing to keep her safe. That feeling of safety in these difficult times means so much to Mom... and me.

She directed me to the patient registration desks where I was greeted by another friendly employee. After she checked me in, I was directed to the waiting area of the lobby to wait for the person to do my blood work. After a very short, wait, I was taken back to have the blood work done. Yet again, the person doing the blood work was friendly and engaging, It made me very comfortable. He explained his process of finding the best location to take my blood and it was done quickly and painlessly. I've been to this hospital multiple times for myself and with other people and I've seen nothing but the highest quality facility and staff. There is nothing I could suggest that they could improve upon.
