By not including any less than complimentary comments a clear picture is not being presented. My mother (and my father until his passing) lived in the Seasons community for 11 years - 9 years at Seasons and 2 years at Courtyard. The years in independent living was tolerable - Courtyard, not so much. The lack of staffing, particularly at night, was very concerning. When you have one nurse on duty and a scattering of aides handling 3 floors of elderly residents, this is makes for a less than ideal assisted living arrangement. Care conferences were never held, repairs requested for her apartment (broken tile in bathroom - possible trip hazard), thorough apartment cleaning as stipulated in lease agreement each took over a year to achieve. Other than an ideal location there is nothing ideal about Courtyard. My mother at age 96 passed away recently and no one in the management of Senior Lifestyle had the humanity to even utter condolences to our family. Concerns regarding the facility were also voiced to the President of Senior Lifestyle in their Chicago headquarters and has also been completely ignored. Would NOT recommend this facility to any family looking for an assisted living facility.

My family was very pleased with my dear mother's stay at Seasons for short term rehab.  From the…read moremoment she arrived until she was discharged, she was treated with the highest level of professionalism and compassionate care.  The facility is very nice, very clean, safe, and we felt very safe with the covid protocol that was in place.  Her room was lovely and everyone was very accommodating and responsive.  All of the staff/administration were very helpful, approachable, knowledgeable, kind, considerate, and went above the call of duty to make my mother's stay a great experience.  We appreciated the friendly and hard working housekeeping staff, food staff, and all of the workers whom we encountered from day to day!  The food was good/prepared well and extra care was taken to ensure I was served meals with regard to my nutrition restrictions.  Heartfelt and special thanks to the Therapy Dept., Nursing Staff/Medical Team and the Social Worker!  They worked tirelessly to provide the highest level of care that we have received anywhere and it was absolutely the primary reason for such a great and successful outcome.  We would highly recommend Seasons to any family looking for great, quality care!

When I asked a caretaker when my Dad would fall how would they now to come in the room to help him! Answer: They wouldn't know to come in to help because the call buttons in the facility do not work. I guess that explains the staff screaming down the hallways. Due to the lack of care we have decided to look at other Senior Living options. This is very sad when you are trusting the facility meet your expectations after what bill of goods they sold us. My advise is if you really love someone then do not send them to Brookdale.

It's clear that they are not being held accountable from management. They use profanity, raise their voices, and take their time. I stayed late one night, and witnessed a nurse aid sleeping in the lobby while 2 rooms had their help light on for over 20 minutes. While the service is poor, the facility also needs a huge renovation. They make it look nice on the outside, but the inside is completely outdated and desperately needs an update.

She was well liked by the residents and their family, often receiving thank you letters and cards for going above and beyond what is expected of her. In Feb. 2012 the fuel pump went out on her car. She brought in a receipt for repair, but was still written up. Now this alone seems fairly cruel to discipline someone for something unexpected that could happen to anyone. But what really takes the cake. Easter Sunday she was scheduled to work and woke up to a dead battery. Again she called her job, left messages, and brought in a receipt. The following Monday she worked, was off Tuesday, and FIRED Wednesday. The lack of compassion from the management here is rampant. The care more about their bottom line than for the years of hard work and dedication their staff put in. Just imagine putting your vulnerable loved one in the care of these types of people. Imagine how far they would go to pocket as much of your hard earned money they can.

It was determined that my parent was in the beginning stage of dementia, so we have decided to keep our parent there, so they are safe, properly medicated, and cared for. I believe the SEM community is suffering through COVID like most care centers across the US. Memory care is simply just an assisted living space. None of the aides trained in memory care, altzhteimer or dementia. Most don't even know what that means. They say they offer a BBT memory program for there residence but the room for it is empty. The residence boxes are empty. It has never been used for my parent. The staff are full of excuses for the terrible care. They are quick to fire a staff member instead of putting protocol in place for them to follow and then replace them the next day with another person not trained. The management is horrible. Please do not put your love one in memory care at Traditions on Camargo.
