We called Yazzie's and after a little back and forth about who was driving where, we decided to drive to their business and bring our shredded tire, get it dismounted, and then re-mounted with a used tire from Yazzie's (our spare tire and wheel did not fit on the 5 lug axle, oops another story) Ronson and Byron (who did the work) were very communicative and helpful, even willing to drive 35 miles back to our stranded trailer...The work, after spinning around their yard a couple times, took less than 30 mins, and we were on our way back to our trailer. I love the area and was glad after a long day to make it home later that night. We had completely burned up the wheel bearings, brakes, and one tire. After removing the damaged tire, we slowly limped into Kayenta on three tires. We were referred to Byron and BJ from Yazzies Tire Shop, and they truly came to our rescue. Within a couple of hours, they arrived to assess the damage and assured us they could get us back on the road. Since we needed parts from Napa, they returned early the next morning, drove us to pick up the parts, completed the repairs, and had us safely back on the road by 10:30 a.m. Byron and BJ were knowledgeable, professional, kind, and affordable. We cannot recommend Yazzies Tire Shop highly enough. If you find yourself needing trailer or vehicle repairs in the Monument Valley/Kayenta area, these are the people to call.
