I needed to get my wisdom teeth out and couldn't find a decent dentist near me that accepted my insurance. So I decided to wait and do it over Christmas, when I planned to spend a couple of weeks in Minnesota with my family. Luckily, Metro Dentalcare accepted my insurance and the locations worked perfectly. I did a teeth cleaning right after I got into town and the wisdom teeth extraction the following day. Unfortunately, I suffered from dry sockets, so it was a VERY painful recovery process. But I can't say enough great things about Dr Barthel - who performed the extraction. I had gone several days without sleep, in agonizing pain (trying to "tough it out") when I paged Dr Barthel at 6am on Christmas morning. He called me right back and was so kind and patient with me when I burst into tears on the phone. (I was a bit overtired at that point.) He gave me some tips to help the pain and increased my pain med dosage. And told me he would squeeze me in first thing the next Monday (Xmas was on Sat) to try and help me out with the dry sockets. Everything about this clinic was great - the staff, the billing process, the appointment availability. I'm actually contemplating keeping them as my regular dentist, since I usually fly to MN several times a year anyhow!
