I even changed my insurance to be able to check this place out! I absolutely was not disappointed. Plenty of parking available in the shared lot with other businesses in the building. The office is very inviting, clean, and organized. The staff has been top notch throughout all of my communication and visits so far. Major shout out to Jenna, who went out of her way to welcome me, learn about my needs/anxieties, and make sure that I felt at home and safe. She even offered local recommendations since I'm newer to the area. My favorite part of the visit was that they offered a menu of items to make me feel more comfortable in the chair! I chose a stress ball for this visit, but might choose additional items on future cleanings! Why not make it feel like a spa visit? HUGE shout-out to my hygienist, Eriel!! She was probably one of the best hygienists I've ever had. She was non-judgemental, sweet, kind, explanatory, and made sure I was doing well and comfortable throughout the visit. We had great conversation, and I felt like she had genuine interest in making sure I was in a good spot. I'd highly recommend her! Dr. Heidi Smith, was also very friendly and helpful during my exam! Lastly, I think they did an amazing job of being upfront and honest about cost throughout my visit. Anything not covered by insurance was very clearly articulated and I felt like I had full control of whether or not I said yes or no to the options. This is huge, because no one likes to be surprised with a massive bill at the end of your routine service. I can't wait to keep coming back to Heart of the City!

I had a great dentist Dr Nan who was so kind and even called after a crown to see how I was doing. This is the first dentist who has ever done this. Sadly, she took a new dental job in Seattle. Today the dental exam was super rushed literally 2 minutes. So that must be a good sign. The hygienist Jackie is super nice. These corporate dental offices seem like stepping stone jobs for dentists. This office is open 7 am-8 pm every day but Friday. So hours are great for people who work. Bummer they don't take Tri Care Insurance or my son could go here too. They did quote someone $1600 for a crown. Luckily I have dental insurance that is somewhat good. 4/5 as the awesome Dr Nan left.

They would nickel and dime you for everything. I was told I had a cavity then when I went to Park Dental for a second opinion they didn't find any cavities or anything wrong with my teeth. I moved to Savage back in 2013 and I travel quite a bit for work - almost every week. This can make it really difficult to schedule things in like doctors and dentists appointments. I needed a place I could go to on the weekends and evenings. Dr. Lee's hours really work with my schedule and is so convenient with being 6min away from my house. He's also incredibly sweet and a great person. In fact, all of the staff in that office are! Calling for an appointment is straightforward and easy. The only thing I wish they had was an option to schedule appointments online or though an app. Highly recommend for anyone who lives in this area to check Burnsville Family Dental if you're in need of a new dentist!

I hope this isn't common practice so they get cash up front? Also, after periodontal surgery, Dr Abrahmson has not examined how the graft took and I was told he doesn't need to see me for 6 months. After about a month I called back to see what next steps would be and left a message with the office. Never heard back. I called again a number of times, with still no call backs. Out of the blue in March of 2017 they called me. I thought why not give them 1 more chance. They still did not return any of my calls even after expressing my displeasure and told by office staff that they would make sure I got a call back. After getting a 2nd opinion and talking with my dentist about it they called me again in Sept 2017. I said fine, let's see if they will be any better. Nope, consultation was nothing I hadn't already heard 1 1/2 years earlier and still no forward progress. Today I got a $55 bill in the mail from them for the consultation in Sept, this was on top of the $200 some dollar payment I made at the time of my first visit. Would definitely not recommend this office based solely on the zero communication I received from them. Pretty much wasted my time and delayed my treatment.
