I was a patient for 8 years until recently. I never had any issue until a few weeks ago. During…read moremy annual appointment in November Dr. Glaze said I needed a contact for my right eye but have only wore one in my left eye for many years. When I tried the sample contact in the office I couldn't see anything so Dr Glaze said to just stay with wearing just my one contact. However, before Memorial Day my vision got worse so I called the office and said to order the other contact. When I received them it was for my left eye, but I wanted to be certain that it was indeed for that eye. I called the office to confirm and the girl said she would check with him and would get back with me. She never called back, so I called again and left a message on their answering machine, which states they will call back within a day. Again, didn't hear from anyone, so I called yet again because if I opened the contacts and they still didn't work I would be out the amount I already paid. I called and talked to another person and had to explain the same thing to her, and was told Dr Glaze would be back the Tuesday after Memorial Day so I waited until late Wednesday to call. I then spoke to their office manager and had to tell him the same thing and that I was having headaches and wasn't comfortable driving because my vision wasn't great. By now I was frustrated because I was then told Dr Glaze would not be back for another week . The office manager sent me more contacts that didn't work either. So, I called again and was told that they had some other contacts for me to try and I told the girl in my text that the contacts the office manger sent still didn't work, so I drove over 30 minutes one way to the office and when I got there they were the same contacts the office manager sent me, Clearly I was not happy and the office manager told me I was being difficult and rude to the staff, yet at no time did anyone offer to let me see another doctor, and they didn't even know when Dr. Glaze would be back, so if they want to say I'm was difficult, so be it. My husband runs a law office and his staff would know exactly when he would be back and they would offer a client that needed help the opportunity to see another attorney.

Front desk told me prescription was correct, other opticians didn't know what they were doing! The initial appointment should have been my first indication, the technician could not read the prescription in my existing glasses-the doctor said she would use the machine read them but never did-they also did not do a peripheral vision test! There's lots of comfy seating in the lobby. There are quite a few glasses options, with most of their glasses being the higher end designer brands, but they do have some that are not quite so bougie. Dr. Tyler Claunch was very friendly/personable, and efficient. He and the other staff were patient with my son and explained everything they were going to do before doing it. It was a very pleasant experience. Dr. Claunch is very authentic. We will definitely make this our go-to optometrist office.

I had a million questions about my vision (I'm one good eye blink from becoming Ray Charles) and he was able and willing to answer every one of them. His office has the latest tech, and they even sale frames and lenses. It's a one stop shop. I do know his location will be changing soon (still in Edmond) to a bigger and better location. I will update this with a tip when it does. One other cool thing...he doesn't have one of those annoying machines that puffs air into your eyes.

The optician assistant was approachable and kind, and she made me feel comfortable right away. Dr. James was friendly and helpful and made sure to ask if I had any questions. I was in and out of the store within 30 minutes and hardly had to wait before getting helped by the optician assistant or being seen by the doctor! Side note - I personally felt safe in regards to COVID. There were hand sanitizing stations, the center seemed very clean, the assistant mentioned that the equipment had been sanitized before my use, and Yelp mentions that all the employees are vaccinated. However, none of the employees were masked, in case that is a concern to any patients. Great experience. Would recommend!

I've always been treated well by the staff and the doctors, and feel they really take their time to answer my questions.
