For reference, I use Brad's for transfers almost exclusively, so be aware that my review encompasses that experience. For my purposes, they're almost perfect. Outside being a jaunt across the bridge which is not so fun in the late afternoon, they're pretty close by, have good transfer fees, as well as friendly, knowledgeable, & responsive staff. I've never had an issue getting FFL info to a shipper, they're good about calling when your items are ready to pick up, and they've never had any issues processing some of my more complex transfers. That's about all I can reasonably ask from a local gun shop. There are some disadvantages; I tend to show up when there's no line, but if there's a line, the building is a bit on the small side so given the current madness caused by our esteemed Gavin-Newsome-Backdoor-Buddy, Supreme Chancellor Inslee, and King County's pet psychos in the legislature, it wouldn't be hard to imagine at some point you could end up with a line out the door, though in fairness, I've yet to actually see this happen. There is a coffee place next door, which might help those who are so inclined as the wait can be a while while everyone's transfers are processed, which seem to average 15-25 minutes per transfer depending on how smooth things go. Related, the parking lot is a bit on the small side, and is what I'll term "free form" for at least one decent sized corner of it, so you may need to park at adjacent businesses if things are really slammed, and I would suggest that smaller cars may be preferred, but I've yet to actually have an issue getting a full size truck parked in the lot at least during the times I've been there. read more

I've been in a few times now and every time I'm in, they are always helping people out, not just talking about nonsense for hours with one person like most gun stores I've been in. It an interesting situation and a nice little gun shop, I do think the good does out way the not so good of being so small. The shop carrie's a very good personality, it is inviting, polite and also has very competitive prices. I do hear people in the back of the line talking about other possible stores while standing in the typical line to be helped and have had wait times extended by computer based purchase system glitches. All in all I think a lot of people really like shopping at Brad's as I do for many reasons but it does have the feel that this little shop is getting pressured to get bigger which is good for business for now any way. Personally I do not post reviews in ammunition& firearms, so this will be my 1st attempt making a comment. I was lucky to receive an old gift from my dad--- A Japanese Arisaka type 38 rifle that commonly served in IJA for 50 years(1895-1945). Somehow its not well maintained and has dents on the cartridge. Owner said this bolt-action rifle was not manufactured in Tokyo Kokura Arsenal where they were originally made from. Instead, a gunsmith who didn't work there told us about the history and background of its usage. So glad the rifle itself still in great shape, and fully functional. But the 6.5mm round ammos are extremely rare to find , also lack of accessories like bayonet, wood grips, dust covers etc. The rifle is currently under my WW2 collection. read more

Will not be back. I purchased a rifle online and had it transferred to Brad's Guns because it is close to my house. I had done this one other time before, but this is the last time. I asked a question to the larger employee, he didn't know how to answer it and didn't attempt to look up the answer or ask Brad. A gun shop should know basic firearm laws. Since SARS-CoV-2 occurred, my driver's license expired and I had the documentation from the state of Washington showing my ID was valid for 90 days after expiration. They refused to accept the documentation. I had to call the department of licensing to get the barcode of the new license. Brad said, "you'll probably have to wait till your license comes in the mail." Not acceptable, every other gun shop in the area has taken my license as is. I was able to get the documentation emailed to me by the state. While I was on the phone, a couple came in and asked what kind of self defense options were available besides a gun, the employees and Brad of course started touting that defense is only practical with a gun. Of course a gun shop will only recommend guns blindly without knowing a person's background or history. How would they know what their history is, maybe the woman is a husband beater, maybe the man is a felon. Anyways, as soon as they left Brad started making fun of the older man. All I could think was, what are these clowns going to say about me when I leave their shop because there was a hiccup in my license that was beyond my control? While I am on the phone, they set my items aside and make it seem like I am no longer welcome. The larger employee goes next door to get himself and his coworker a milkshake-like coffee. Not handing me my drivers license they had possession of, I can't leave without my license so I stay in the store. During this time, they not only ignore their own rules about two customers in the store at one time, but also violate the state mandate by removing their masks and allowing unmasked customers into their store. After forwarding the temporary license to the employee, he prints it off and scans it, but it doesn't scan. So he enters it manually. This is after telling me he cannot enter my license manually. Thanks for making me sit on the phone for almost an hour cause you were being too lazy to enter the information manually. If I was to treat one of my patients in the cavalier manner that this business treats their customers, I wouldn't have any patients. I won't be back, there are many other local gun shops around. read more

Once again these guys did not disappoint me at all. Brought a friend of mine in to help him decide on purchasing a handgun. He ended up getting his Glock 36. Luckily they had one in stock. I went in as a first time gun purchaser with zero experience. I had been to one other store and left that store as confused as I had entered and no gun. Brad's was very busy. I was helped in a timely manner, I was treated with so much patience and was well educated. I felt strongly knowing I purchased the right firearm for myself. Terrible customer service. I stopped in with my African American fiancée, and we were treated like criminals. I had planned on purchasing two pistols for protection. I made the mistake of asking my fiancée opinion. My fiancée is a gentleman and the tone and accusations coming from the rude oversized privileged white young sales person ( using that term loosely) because he has. no customer service skills. I asked a few questions and he spoke down to me. I am very familiar With the attitude. I am not a fan of racism. He proceeded to assume I was purchasing a gun for someone else. Needless to say I would not spend one cent of my money at this sub par, business with no manners. All my guns are licensed and I know how to use them and store them safely. I don't appreciate the way we were treated and spoken too. I did what I could by leaving and not supporting this type of business. If you are looking for good service forget going to Brad's. I am having so much trouble with this online gun store I'm beginning to wonder if they are legit. I have called three times and left my number, they say they'll get back to you. I'm still waiting 4 days later for that return call. I sent proof of payment, a screenshot of the initial payment where it shows the email address to send the money showing sent. They sent an email on the 5th saying having trouble, so I sent a copy of the paid receipt. Now they are saying they will check with their financial office. I'm sending you copies of paid receipts what more proof is there. I sure hope they get this figured out. read more

Based on Seth's review, I visited Brad's Gun's, met Brad, and am now pretty sure that I have found my 'go to' gun shop going forward (and I've visited quite a few shops over the past few months). This was a first time purchase for me, and Brad was very thorough in explaining and guiding me through the purchase process. I didn't pick pick up any ammo today, but his prices seem about the lowest I've seen, and he also sells Washougal River Factory Reloads in bulk, which I'm interested to try out. This is a small shop to be sure, and you'll have to look hard to realize it's a gun shop you're entering, because you'll actually be walking into Northwest Marine & Ski, where Brad's store occupies a corner of the building. I went in today. The fat guy was out front. He asked how he could help. I said I was looking for a 44. He said, we don't get those. He said he could get a .357 but they had wood stocks. He looked them up and started to show me the page. He then said, boy he wished I hadn't asked because now he would want one. It was so disingenuous. The game was, see this is so cool, even an expert like me would buy this. You should buy this. Zero ability to listen to the customer. I asked about 10mm, he said they go quick. But after checking to see if he could get a 44 in, he never offered to check to see if he would/could get a 10mm in. I would have bought one even after being slightly annoyed. I love that they are local and support our 2nd amendment, but w/ chubby out front, I won't be back. Not horrible, just not good. read more

Please, please, please get certified training in firearms safety, before you buy a gun. I can't stress this enough. You can't overlook safety for a second. Learn how to handle and shoot safe, and then always use safe practices. Always know how to store firearms in your home safely, and more so if you have kids. I am a life long customer, and I try to send as much business his way as possible. I know I'll be buying more from Brad in the future. I've purchased at least $8K in ammo alone over the last few years from his store (good hobby to spend money fast), because I don't shop anywhere else. I just picked up two handguns, and I'm very satisfied with the prices, quality, shipping speed, and especially the service. I didn't even bother with shopping around. I just want directly to him. He still ended up with the lowest prices I could find. He is providing the services/products I (and many others) need, and with amazing customer service at great prices. I went to Brads last weekend to look at a hunting rifle. After speaking with the guys at the counter I ended up leaving with a new AR and ordered a hunting rifle. They told me it would be in on Friday...sure enough I got a call Friday morning, my new hunting rifle was there! I went and picked it up, got some more ammo, and got some great advice from the guys! Brad was direct, honest, upfront and gave me confidence I have finally found the gun store I would be dealing with from now on. Wouldn't buy from Brads Guns again, happy they had my gun in stock sad service afterwards way slow and not good. Bought gun on the 15th called back in on the 24th asking about background check told not back yet. Called the 25th was told not back yet still they would call and look into it never heard back all day. Cabelas called me on the 26th 4days after them doing my background check and gun was ready for pick up. So I called Brads on the 26th lucky Brad answered asked him about my background check again. He said he would looking into it and call me back. 10mins later he called back to let me know they never submitted my paperwork...awesome. Only if employee who answered 3days earlier would've done his job and looked into it would've helped a little. If you do buy from here only thing I would suggest is talk with Brad and have him do your paperwork. Finally a decent shop close to me. This place is awesome. It's pretty small shop and doesn't have much selection onsite but makes up for it with great service. Brad is awesome to work with.
