I hadn't been to church in over 15 years due to not having a car for a very long time, and many difficulties in life during that period. When my mother and I entered through the narthex, we immediately smelt candles and the intensity of the Holy Spirit increased as we went into the church proper. It's always clean and bright in the church, never austere and without natural light filtering in. That's one thing I really love about this parish, it's full of light. We were looking for a traditional church, not one of those mega churches or the auditorium experience, and I found GSCC for us. We're so glad that we settled here afrer planning our visit on August 3rd! We met a nice lady by the name of Laura, and she explained what GSCC was like, and then on another day we went to introduce ourselves at the parish office. Our welcome was extremely warm and genuine; we've been attending Saturday mass since August 10th and we love this church. The people are very nice and the order of mass is well done. I love looking at all of the bulletins for upcoming festivities or gatherings, and the displays of memorabilia. While we were finishing up our prayers kneeling in the pews, my mother had a vision of a glowing white cross appearing while her eyes were shut and she later told me about it when we got home. That's how we both knew - after exchanging our signs that we received - that we were "home." I will say that the choir is very talented as musicians and singers. I've learned the songs relatively fast for the amount of time I've been attending mass, and it's always a joy to hear and see them perform. Do I recommend GSCC? Absolutely! Pay a visit and see for yourself, it's a beautiful church and kind community, no matter your denomination.

We unexpectedly moved to the area and had three weeks to look for a school before the year started. We started with another school which didn't work out at all. After we found SPLS, I wished so much that we had found them a lot sooner. First and foremost, the school fosters a faith-filled nurturing environment. You feel this in the core of the school community among the teachers, the office staff, and the administration. They genuinely care about our students and are so kind and wonderful. The academics are top-notch and are taught in a fun and engaging way. Our teachers are not only very credentialed but have amazing backgrounds in homeschooling and years of experience in many other school settings. My daughter came home with math homework once which looked like something I didn't see until I was older. I was prepared to relearn the lesson and teach it to her when she said, "Don't worry. My teacher taught me again when I didn't understand it the first time. I got it. It's actually easy!" This spoke volumes that my daughter would feel encouraged and confident even as learning gets challenging. The families here are diverse. It is a beautiful community where my child shares things about her culture and learns about others. During the summer, my daughter can't wait to start school as she misses her teachers and friends. Fortunately, the school has a summer enrichment program that runs through July. We feel blessed that our daughter was able to get into this school. I have toured 3 private schools and our local public school. Hands down I cannot even compare. They checked off all of my boxes and then some. There is no other school as special as this place has been for us. It makes me feel confident as a parent that my child is getting a solid foundation. Thank you SPLS for welcoming us with open arms.

We're nearing our second year at this school, and honestly, my experience has been the complete opposite of what I'm seeing posted. I won't dismiss the experiences of others, but I did feel compelled to share my own. My child loves ARCP and speaks highly of his educators ; especially Mr. B, Ms. Mosqueda, and Ms. Arsolon. He's done really well here, and I'm genuinely glad I chose this school for him. If I had one complaint... if you'd even call it that... I'd say the curriculum has been a little easy for him. Or, in his words, "too easy" as he works through his homework packet lol. But that's more of a conversation between me and his teacher, not necessarily a criticism of the school itself. Now parking? Morning drop-off is definitely hell but I've learned that if I miss the :45 drop-off mark, I can head to the office and staff will come get your child from the car, which honestly is convenient because some mornings I look a mess and do not want to get out. And the back doors closing after a certain time makes sense to me from a safety standpoint. Overall, our experience these past two years has been really positive. If that changes, I'll report back. Thanks, ARCP.

My daughter has been part of this school community from kindergarten through third grade. Her kindergarten year was truly wonderful, but things shifted in the following years, and our experience became less positive. Despite these challenges, we chose to keep her enrolled, motivated by our dedication to the community and our belief in the school's mission to "Close the GAP to ensure No Child/Student is left behind academically." We knew that perfection isn't realistic and approached each year with the hope and intention of growing together through any difficulties. However, this school year in third grade has brought about some new challenges for our daughter, causing her mental distress and, in turn, placing a lot of stress and worry on my husband and me. We even started to question one of her teacher's motives in certain situations. The recent motive used was very heartbreaking for us and was the final straw as the teacher admitted she was wrong and sorry.... This is unacceptable and I pray ARCP officials reprimand this behavior so no other Scholar becomes a victim by this teacher.....Parents please have daily conversations and listen closely to your children. You are their voice, advocate, and their inspector gadgets..... It's clear that what works for some students and families doesn't always work for everyone, and that's okay--Alan Rowe College Prep doesn't shine the same way for all. Despite these ups and downs, I want to sincerely thank the office staff, before and afterschool staff, everyone involved in drop-off and pick-up, and the Principal. Each of you has shown genuine kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness whenever we've had concerns or needed support. Your efforts to resolve any issues brought to your attention have meant a great deal to our family. We wish you the best!

The principal operates with favoritism, lacks transparency, and does not consistently follow the school's own handbook. There are serious concerns about bias and unfair treatment of families, which makes the school feel unwelcoming and, at times, discriminatory. Concerns raised by parents are dismissed rather than addressed, and there is little accountability at the administrative level. Academically, the education is average at best and does not justify the high tuition. For a Catholic school, there is a noticeable lack of compassion, integrity, and values reflected in leadership decisions. Unfortunately, things continue to decline, and there is no indication that meaningful change will happen under the current administration--especially with the principal in place. Save your money and consider a public school or another Catholic school where leadership truly supports students, families, and fairness

It disappoints me on how unethical this school is. The priests are really genuine and relatable. I disliked the way that St. Elizabeth lacked many things in teaching my kids. I think it would be better off to send your kids to a different private school or even public because this school is equivalent to that. They always call for things to raise funds so they can get more money. If you are really hesitant about applying your kids here, in my opinion I would not recommend it.

My daughter has been at BCS Preschool for 2 years and we have been so thankful for our time here…read more The administration is responsive and welcoming. The fact that my kids regularly walk into the director's office to play with her toys and books while I visit with her says something: this is a place that welcomes parents and their feedback. I saw this firsthand lately as my 4 year old daughter struggled to fall asleep during nap time. While some of her classmates were transitioning to the non-nap room and I was worried this might be the only option left for our daughter, our family just wasn't ready to do it. I reached out to the staff, and the administration met with me and even took the time to bring in the classroom teacher to brainstorm what would work best for my DAUGHTER. They listened to my needs and helped come up with an incentive system that worked wonders (we are now SUCCESSFULLY sleeping at nap time!). I appreciated their willingness to see our needs and meet them in ways that I know took time and work for them. My daughter LOVES going to school. From the summer water days to the Jog a Thon to the 4th of July Bike Parade...there is always something fun happening and a bunch of parents on the sidelines to cheer and take pictures. I always feel welcomed in the classroom and I like the care the teachers put into the environment. It feels clean and safe, the teachers PLAY with the kids and teach them how to interact with each other, and it just looks like a lot of FUN. The staff cares about knowing my daughter and they appreciate what makes her unique. For a working mom like myself, I'm so thankful I get to leave my daughter in the hands of a staff who will LOVE her and help her grow.

I wouldn't recommend any child who is unique and different in their way to be sent to this school because without a DOUBT they will have extreme problems. The principals and staff members fail miserably to do their jobs correctly unless a physical altercation has occurred or a threat has to be taken seriously by law. Most of the teachers are awesome and deserve so much better and we all know who they are. The kids were the main problem, not being able to be yourself and people slandering your FAMILY in group chats, Throwing dirt on your name, Making the majority of kids not like you caused by their lying, and overall massive groups of people that are insecure within themselves deflecting on kids who don't know how to defend themselves, . The amount of Racial Clowning, Insecurity, and Lack of control of students is insane and disappointing. Many parents and children have problems with Smedberg but no one cannot get a clear solution because they only tell you bullto make you go away. The bathroom, Sucks, The Energy Sucks, and the office staff SUCK. Just don't send your kids there, it will save you your time and grief.
