I read quite a few of the negative reviews about this place, but we decided to try it anyway. We ended up being very happy that we did. Some people said they felt it was outdated, but I wouldn't call it outdated, I'd call it homey. It has a very comfortable, clean, atmosphere. We were seated quite quickly and soon after our waitress, Linda, arrived. She was exceptional! Very helpful. We literally felt as though we were guests at her home and had been friends for a long time. We all ordered the turkey dinner with butternut squash and mashed potatoes as our sides. The food isn't bland at.all, it's just not laden with tons of salt. It tasted like you were having a big Thanksgiving dinner at home. The squash was especially good. Loved the rolls, too! The portions were huge! I couldn't quite finish it all but felt good and not bloated. If you want a good, homestyle dinner this is the place to go! We had a family gathering in the smaller event room and I can't say enough about how great the staff was. We had just come from a funeral and they were very kind and attentive to all of us. The food came out quickly, we ordered a whole bunch of appetizers which were all delicious, then sandwiches and various other things from the menu and everyone was happy with the amount and quality of food. No one could stop talking about the biscuits and maple butter. The room was set up nicely, plenty of space for everyone, and it was clean and comfy. We ended up opening the 'windows' between the room and the bar which was great. I highly recommended Brady's for your function. read more

My cousin and I went here Because we were passing by and it looked nice. The menu is confusing. Labeled a little wonky. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. The outside of my chicken was very crispy. But the inside was very overcooked and rubbery, very chewy. Our garlic bread was a little burnt. and my cousins chicken and broccoli Alfredo her chicken was very overcooked and chewy as well. The Alfredo sauce taste like cream. There was not enough seasoning in there. Overall those dishes are big portions but the quality is not worth $18. our waitress was on her phone the whole time and took a long time to come back with the check. read more

I don't leave a lot of reviews but I had to leave one for this place after the experience I had. As soon as we walked in the door I wanted to turn around and leave. The decor was outdated and worn and the floors were dirty. The hostess looked at my husband, son and I and said "two?"... clearly there were three of us. So she says "let me wipe down a table for you". Mind you, it's not busy. Why wasn't the table already prepared for diners? The waitress was great but the food took forever to get to us. As we are eating, the hosted is running around the restaurant and loudly whining to customers about how she should "just quit" and "she can't do anything right" She walks over to our table and grabs my husbands plate AS HE IS STILL EATING and says "can I take this?" He politely said "in a minute" and she huffed off, proceeded to walk back over and say angrily "did I do something wrong?" He replied "no, I'm just not finished eating" She then continued to storm around the restaurant yelling at customers about how her life is so horrible and how no one appreciates her. It was such a scene and made the remainder of our dinner so awkward that I couldn't get out the door fast enough. The food was mediocre at best. read more

This is a very good place for lunch. I always order online, which I love. I wish they'd post their soup of the day at least on Facebook. They are a little expensive but you get a lot of food, so it's a good value. Their chili is delicious and my favorite menu item. Their fettuccini Alfredo is tasty. They do a good job on sandwiches and wraps, as well as their fries. The apple pie was a little salty and dry, but their chocolate cake is great. Very nice hostess whenever I go in. read more

Our family dined at Brady's earlier in the year. Idk why people are submitting poor reviews, because our experience was totally awesome!! Great Food, Friendly and Prompt Service. Not to mention the Food, the Meal was beyond Delicious.. I would definitely recommend Brady's for everything from soup to, oh yes, Dessert! We loved it there, and look forward to going back again. They are under new management, so perhaps that makes a difference*) Definitely a great choice! The "Waterhouse" was a terrible experience for us. A 50 year celebration dinner with family, and they "sold" the room I reserved to someone else on the sly. Stuck us outside in the cold near the water, with a blow heater- "gee, thanks for nothing". Brady was a major disappointment. We came on Saturday. Hostess was friendly. We were seated - it took the waitress 30 minutes, well 28, to get two soft drinks and a beer. Not overly busy in restaurant. Bar was busy due to a concert downtown. Food was way below what one would expect. Salad with chicken made a Wendy salad look tasty. Crab cakes were a convenience product and therefor of a meaningless average quality albeit a bit cold. Burger was a burger with cold fries. Fettucini Alfredo with chicken and broccoli was sad. So completely free of taste - almost an achievement. I felt bad for the waitress as the table behind us was loudly and rudely complaining. They were probably right, yet in bad taste. I was hoping for good pub food a la Tooky Mills in Hillsborough. Clearly, I am disappointed. read more

Walked in, the decor was something out of the 70s very dated. The waitress was extremely nice. Tried a bacon burger, just ok, wife had fish and chips, she loved it, lightly battered Haddock with fries. The dining room had an odd odor to it, unfortunately we won't be back. read more

Bradys American Grill is a casual restaurant and bar located in the same plaza as Dunkin Donuts and Grappelli's Pizza on Route 202, north of the village. The atmosphere here is that of a casual New England restaurant and bar with the cozy dining room (mostly rows of booths) on the left side and an enclosed separate lounge/bar area with several TVs on the right side. The place has a very similar feel of a T-Bones, but on a much cozier scale. The menu offerings include steaks, seafood, appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, Italian dishes, and comfort dishes. There's a beer, wine, and martini list on each table. I ordered the Baked Stuffed Haddock ($14.99), which included soup or salad, choice of potato and vegetable. I started out with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder was pretty decent, not too thick and had mostly big chunks of fresh cut potatoes and a creamy broth, with some very chewy minced clams, oyster crackers on the side. I saw that most folks were getting the chowder with their entrees. The baked stuffed haddock was served very hot and was pretty good, which consisted of very moist and flaky haddock topped with a soft sweet bread/crabmeat stuffing. The butternut squash was also pretty good, which had a creamy texture with small chunks. The mashed potatoes had a very dense texture, not creamy and smooth, topped with hot turkey gravy, slightly salty. I had enough to eat after only finishing half of my dinner, so I got a box to go and had leftovers for lunch. No dessert on this visit, though the Tollhouse Cookie Pie sounded pretty good. The service here was acceptable and requests for items such as a to go box and some tartar sauce for my haddock were obliged timely. read more

Set out to patron Harlow's but found out that they are closed. Rode a bit more to find Brady's. Was hoping to believe the good reviews. Pros: 1. Our waitress Sarah was excellent! 2. Restaurant is homey and cute. Cons: 1. Very dull food. 2. Meatloaf was so bland my husband doused it with ketchup to give in flavor. 3. The mashed potatoes from his plate and mine tasted old. 4. Seems like the chef is trying to make ingredients go a lonnng way. 5. The potatoes, squash and stuffing (from my turkey dinner) were very watery and bland. The best thing we had was the coleslaw, tasted much like KFC. Wanted to like this place, but unfortunately we were disappointed. read more

Apparently, in Peterborough, you should stick to the sandwich and pizza shops or the high end restaurants, because this middle of the road family restaurant certainly missed the mark for me. The menu is quite large with lots of selection...this should have been the first warning sign...as very few kitchens can rarely pull this off. I opted for more of a meal and ordered the eggplant parmesan. Cutting into it, I knew I had ordered wrong...the eggplant was so greasy and heavily fried...it was just an unpleasant gray and mushy. The pasta and sauce tasted old with an odd flavor. When I told the waitress - who had never come back to the table the whole mean except to clear the plates - she never apologized or offered to replace it with anything else. Of course, when the check came, I was charged the full price. I regret not complaining more or asking for the manager, because they should not have put out food of this quality...or I shouldn't have just paid for it willingly. read more

We did take-out and were very pleased with the food. The Cobb salad was large, with very fresh ingredients. The bleu burger with mushrooms was cooked as we asked, and was flavorful. French fries don't travel well,but they were pretty good. The high point was the mac and cheese (under appetizers). It was a very large serving, very cheesy and creamy, yet crispy on top. My entree was baked stuffed haddock for $14.99 I got it and this piece of fish was frozen and it was an eighth of an inch thick and smelled. We had a bad experience at JP Stephens in Rindge so decided to take a drive and try this place out. Only ones in the place. What is with New Hampshire and no bars or people around on Sunday nights? We were there so decided to have a beer. The woman next to be was RAVING about the cole slaw and I do enjoy me nice diner cole slaw so we decided to order a side of cole slaw and a clam chowder. The atmosphere is horrible in both the bar and the restaurant. The bar area has it's regulars and if you're not one of them you definitely feel like an outcast from the bartenders. The beer tastes like the taps need to be cleaned and the glasses smell like the were washed with a dirty rag. The whole bar actually smells like that too. Good solid bar and grill fare. The chicken tenders were hot and crispy, the sweet potato fries were very god, the steak tips were flavorful and the bacon/cheddar/Chicken sandwich was tasty and juicy. I have been a customer at brady's for many years mainly because it is convenient not because of the food. The basics, such as salads are good however the main meal quality is inconsistent at best. Twice in a row I had the baked stuffed haddock and both times the fish (what there was of it) tasted freezer burnt. This last time I brought it to the waitresses attention. 12/23/2013 - My husband and I went here last night for a light super and a couple of drinks. It the end of the week and we just wanted to unwind. We like sitting in the lounge .But this is about the food. The onion soup was fair but not great. I had fish & chips. The Haddock was to thin , My husband said if thats haddock it the end of the tail. This I could not eat I had to take it home to my dog, but she'll eat anything you put in front of her. I had a mix drink, they forgot to put booze in it. The good think I can say was the the waitress was great. Will I go back? I would have to say NO! This is a great place to go at the end of the day if you want a drink at the bar or a good quick meal. Prices are reasonable with some very good seasonal specials every day. WARNING! DO NOT EAT HERE! I got the salmon alfredo and got the WORST food sickness I have had in my entire life. It was so bad that I called this place to let them know that I think their fish is contaminated. I should have known better than the ingredients would be iffy because of the sheer size of the menu. No establishment will be able to keep up on quality with the size of the menu they offer. The decor is extremely old and a lot of brown, I highly suggest to avoid this place at all costs.
