this place will rip you off. Randall won't give you an honest opinion. He said he was an honest man but told me my car only worth 5000 after the repair, and told me it will cost me 5000 labor costs only and a total 8k - 12k to fix my problems. 12k to fix something worth for 5000? And ask me to need to pay him 800 for doing the exact estimation. 800 only for the estimation. Also will take another 4 weeks to fix the car. I ended up fixed it for 4500 somewhere else. read more

Wow, I NEVER write reviews but the service was so ridiculously outstanding that I couldn't not write one. Every person I interacted with here was friendly, honest, and transparent. They did everything they could to help me, and where they couldn't, they told me so. I was helped by a mechanic named Brandon who was seriously a champion. He stayed late when I couldn't make it by five to get my car, he worked around my confusing method of payment, and he was still friendly and enthusiastic even after finding out he wouldn't be fixing my van. If it seems absurd that someone would write this positive of a review, consider your average mechanic visit, then go to Briggs. You'll probably end up feeling morally compelled to write them a glowing five star review too. read more

I was recommended to this place after something went wrong with the computer of my car. Had my car taken there and took about a week to get back to me. They overcharged about $400 to program a new computer into my vehicle. Had to bring in my own computer because they wanted to charge $1000 for a computer from them. After I finally got my car back, I was given back my car with a new problem. They told me my car was brought in with the gear stick broken ( you have to press the motor or sensor with a screw driver to put the car in drive) never ever had this problem... had my car towed there because it wouldn't start, so how could that have already been there when the car wouldn't even start and it was never an issue for me. They told me to bring it back and they will fix it, probably for another $500. Hahaha Point is, they didn't program my computer correctly that's why my gear stick needs a screwdriver in order to put in drive. So, they charge me $400 to supposedly reprogram the computer for my car but obviously didn't program it right because now I have a new problem. Never going back there! read more

Tried buying a car but the owner doesn't give you the time of day better off looking elsewhere he doesn't want my business

I have been a loyal customer of Braggs Automotive for several years. The employees were always nice and friendly. Unfortunately, this was not the case last year when my car started having problems again. My car would hesitate to start and sometimes it would shut off after it did. I took my car in and they thought I needed new tubing. They made me feel special and told me that they were custom making special tubing for me and explained why it was taking a while. It worked fine for a few days and then the problem reoccurred. Next time I took it in, they claimed that I needed to replace a cylinder and some other sensor. I never questioned them. A week and $200 later, I finally got my car back.. It was great for a few days and on Friday I had the same problem. I went back to Braggs and this time they claimed I needed an IAC. I started to get suspicious at this point because they kept on charging me for a diagnosis, even though the diagnosis was incorrect every time. I attempted to pick my car up that Friday after work. I was told that my car would be outside the lot, but it never was. It showed up out of nowhere Monday. As usual it would only work for a few days before it started acting up again. The last time they had my car, it took them several weeks to fix. And in the meantime I had no choice but to get a rental. During this time I witnessed an employee driving my car in the next town over! I was highly infuriated. When I got my car back eventually, it was absolutely filthy. The floors were disgusting, there was dirt all over, the stitching in my seat came undone and exposed the interior, and I had a flat tire. When I called , they said to bring it in and they would fix it for free. Needless to say, it wouldn't start to take it back. So two months and over $1500 later, I was back to square one. This has to be the worst customer service experience I've ever had. They robbed me of all my money when I was a poor student. They kept on making up diagnosis and overcharging me for everything while they used my car to drive around town. This was truly a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend Braggs to anyone. read more

I took 2 cars there. Both jobs were not done right and I had to have to take cars to another shop correct them. Also they paint cars In the shop were they work on them. Both my cars Had over spray on them. Brandon and Charlie are nice guys. When I confronted the owner upset he yelled at me saying my cars were junk. IF You care about your Car don't take it there. Took my truck here twice for service. First time to have transmission work done, second time to fix a rusted manifold. Very satisfied both times. Randall took the time to walk me through what was done, not like other shops where they have the give me your money and get out of here attitude. My neighbor recommend Bragg's to me and said the shop did excellent work on his car and the customer service at Bragg's was bar-none. I had the opposite experience the owner told me it's because I have cut rate insurance that does not want to pay his shop price. I asked the owner before he sent a tow truck out to tow my vehicle if he accepts founders insurance and he told me he does. I think the shop was upset my car sat in there lot for 30days before my insurance said they would pay to fix it and to add insult to injury they did not want to pay the full shop prices and thats what led to my bad experience with Braggs as far as the mechanical work on my car it was good work it got my car back driving used parts but still good parts read more

He and Grace were incredibly helpful, kind, and informative throughout the entire process- Randall found me a used car that ended up being less than my price point and exceeded my expectations! In addition, Randall and Grace stayed late on a Friday for me and were incredibly understanding about it. This place is terrible. I took may car there. They charged me $601 and had my car there for 2 weeks for electrical issues. I told the guys, no rush take your time and get it right. I got the car, it ran like crap, and non of the electrical issues were fixed. The check engine light was on and no diagnosis was done. They then told me to buy a new battery, after just buying one 4 months ago. I bought the Delco battery and no changes. Richard, the manager, gave the worst lip service possible. He initially told me that he could fix the issue, but the car HAD KNOWN PROBLEMS. I then asked him was this something you want to be bothered with then, he said yeah. We can handle it. My car was in his lot for 1 month. Not squat was done, then he told me he wasn't doing anything else to the car after I paid him $601. Never wild I enter that place again. read more
