In this neighborhood, $24 for a men's cut (which includes a shampoo) is very reasonable. I have gotten cuts from multiple stylists here including Ayeshah (the owner, I believe) and Neka, and they all do a great job. This place's location in the Midtown Promenade shopping center makes parking a cinch. Finally, I rarely have issues getting an appointment when I need one even when booking last minute. Importantly, the staff here take the appropriate precautions for Covid-19. Haircuts are appointment only and patrons must have their temperature checked before sitting in the stylist's chair. All staff wore masks and/or face shields during the two cuts I've gotten here since the pandemic started, and I was even requested to wash my hands prior to my most recent appointment. If you live in Midtown and are in search of an affordable, quality haircut, Axiom is worth checking out.

Every time I look at myself in the mirror, I think: "dang, I look HOT!" Unfortunately, I don't live anywhere near Axiom, otherwise this would be my go-to salon from now on. The price was perfect as well. Great quality at a reasonable price! Highly recommended! Keep up the good work!

They should really work on this because it's a great way to lose business. Anyway, decided to keep the appointment, which I got for someone as a birthday gift. Walked in and the young lady at the front desk was warm, friendly, and lovely, so that made up for whoever answered the phone. The person I got the gift for loved it. The place is very masculine and for newcomers they offered complimentary drinks with lovely ice cubes. It is quite expensive, but it's a luxury service so I understand the pricing. Definitely makes a great gift.

The vibe walking in gives you an exclusive upscale sports bar, man cave vibe that just so happens to have a barbershop and spa amenities. With a hint of whisky, leather, tobacco and essential oils in the air. I got my beard trimmed, facial, manicure and pedicure. The staff was excellent and very professional the barber area was nice and well lit. The best spot within the location was the manicure and pedicure room. Spacious, with TV's over heard showing sports and financial news, which you could change. If you are a man that takes your beard, skin, feet and hand care seriously. This is a must to check out. I usually have to settle for the typical nail salon and most times I'm the only man there, aaand we know the atmosphere isn't tailored to us. A couple of notes, I would love if they upgraded to massage chairs, that extend and recline, and added a masseuse.

Just to check, I called to ask if they would take it. The lady (I wish I got her name, but didn't) was unbelievably rude. Her tone and attitude were apparent from the moment she answered the phone. She gave no greeting or a "how can I help", just said "great clips Howell mill" already with a tone like I was inconveniencing her. Then when I asked about the coupon, Her response was "well doesn't it say Atlanta area?" And I said well yeah it says *participating* Atlanta salons. She started raising her voice (not yelling but overpowering my voice) and cut me off. Then said "yeah we take coupons here" with a very condescending tone like I was stupid for asking. Even if it was a dumb question the tone, volume, and abrasiveness was absurd. I said again okay well it says participating so I was just checking yall were apart of it. She said some more nonsense in a very aggressive and loud tone that I think was "so are you coming in or not" but I couldn't even tell so I said alright and hung up. Going to great clips is like playing Russian roulette already so with how rude and annoyed this lady was for no reason, I did not go here. Sorry if you're having a bad day, woman, but don't ruin mine.

I moved to Atlanta last year, and finding a new stylist and salon is always one of my biggest…read moreanxieties when it comes to moving. I've had the unfortunate experience of hair nightmares when I first moved to other cities. Somehow, the trend always seems to be that the second salon I try ends up being the perfect one for me...and Atlanta has been no exception to this. I first tried another salon nearby, which left me totally unhappy. They charged me a TON of money for serious roots and the tiniest of trims...which altogether took well over 3 hours even though my hair is barely past my ears?! Yikes. Anyhow, you get the point. I would have to return to hunting for another salon. In a fit of desperation, I did try a box dye to fix my roots but...it did not end well. I called around town, but stylists were either full up for the weekend or unwilling to book me until they scheduled a separate color-correction consult session. I then came across Urban Evolution, and it seemed to fit the bill: a local salon, all the cut-color-smoothing services that I like to use, reasonable pricing, quality products, and a range of stylists to pick from. Best of all: I was able to snag an appointment the next day with Erin! I later discovered that she was the salon owner. She did an amazing job! I never felt judged, rushed, or not listened to. She asked a lot of excellent questions, taking the time to really understand my hair and styling preferences. She was very easy to talk to throughout the appointment. I left feeling like myself again (only with better hair)! I can breathe a sigh relief knowing that I've found "my" salon here in Atlanta. I highly recommend Urban Evolution to anyone, and also definitely recommend Erin! I'm a very happy client. To close out my review, here are some of the pros and cons of Urban Evolution... PROS: They have online booking, which was a huge plus for me as I work a very busy job and don't always have time to call during business hours. I also like that their website has a "match" quiz to help our you with a stylist, which I've never seen before but very much appreciated. A very cool feature! The salon itself is beautiful, and the staff are professional and super friendly. I can tell that everyone goes the extra mile to make clients as comfortable and cared for as possible. They always offer me a beverage, for example. At my last visit, I was bemoaning how I could never figure out how to style my hair wavy. Not only did Erin show me, but she had another staff member film her doing it on a few sections of my hair, all the while explaining each step, and then texted me the video so I can use it to guide me at home. They use and sell quality products. They have Oribe and Davines, both of which are fantastic lines. I've started using Oribe Silverati shampoo/conditioner at Erin's suggestion and I'm now obsessed - it's really helped to improve the health of my hair (I do a lot of coloring and heat styling). The salon schedule allows for evening and weekend appointments, which is very helpful for folks who may work busy jobs and not be able to come in during traditional 9-5 weekday hours. The salon is situated on a street with a lot of yummy restaurants and cafes, so you could always come meet a friend before or after for brunch, lunch, or cocktails! I've tried several at the recommendation of Erin and other salon staff, and all have been excellent. I love supporting local business, so I see this as a "pro." CONS: I'd you've read this far and you're still not convinced, I guess I could say that the only potential "con" is maybe the parking. They have street parking, or for a few bucks you can use the parking lot for the woodworking shop across the street. But even then, to me this is a pretty weak "con" because I've never had any trouble finding a spot (I've literally parked right in front of the salon the last several times that I've been there). Go try Urban Evolution...like me, you won't regret it!
