Wife here! So, for the last couple of months I've been retwisting my locs myself because I'm very choosy when it comes to who I allow in my head. Being new to Atlanta I placed my trust in google when choosing a salon. I came across Natural Creations, and what sold me was their website. It may not seem like much to the naked eye, but the authenticity definitely stands out. The owner didn't try and sell potential customers on fancy graphics, but with real photos, and great descriptions of her services. When I arrived at the salon, the vibe was a "comfortable at home" feeling. There's black inspired photos & art work on the walls, a variety of music playing throughout, and fun stylists. My appointment was at 11:30 & I was under the dryer by 12:45. NOT BAD TIMING AT ALL!! I will definitely recommend this salon to my friends! I was in Atlanta from out of town and my local stylist had been booked solid before my trip. I was in desperate need of a skilled loctician. My hair was looking like a combination of an afro and locs. After looking at some local Yelp reviews, I called Franz-che at Natural Creations and she was able to fit me in that same day! When I arrived at the salon, I discovered that she had a colleague, Joe, who was also an expert barber. I have a fade (which had become an afro) with locks. I usually go for a bald fade (no hair at all around) but Joe convinced me to try a close fade. His cut was excellent! After Joe cut my hair, Franz-che got my locs rolled tight again (I had a fair amount of new growth to deal with) and she also put my hair in a super-cute style! I can't say enough great things about this salon, Franz-che, and Joe. I highly recommend going here for your natural hair needs. In addition to being great stylists, both Franz-che and Joe were excellent conversationalists and extremely friendly. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in the door. Don't look any further! I have been looking for a stylist to be able to do my hair for a long time. I don't trust a lot of people with my hair and she came highly recommended. She wanted me to come in for a consultation to see how my hair would dread. I am white so it is a different texture. I wasn't sure that I could get my hair done or if it would look correct because my hair is so soft. She made me feel comfortable in the consultation and booked my hair appointment. After asking around about local natural hair care, the owner of this shop was first on the lips of many within my social circle when it came to natural hair care. When I originally met Franz-Che in 2007, the first thing I noticed about her, aside from her strikingly vibrant red locs, is how radiant and inviting the energy surrounding her was. This loctress is beyond skilled, not only with sculpting your natural crown into a thing of beauty, but also in speech, language, and poetry. You know you can't have the salon experience without a wide variety of conversation and, with Franz-Che, pretty much, anything is open to discussion. Phyllis -the barberist- also works her magic along side Franz-che. She has a beauty of her own. The shop is cozy with a television, complementary beverages, a bathroom, and wifi. No integrity. On 1 December i drove to Atlanta and scheduled a lock attachment appointment ( 17 December) with the owner of natural creations salon Franz-Che Lawrence. The total cost of the service was 700 but to pay for hair creation and save my slot I had to pay a 200 deposit. I paid her in cash. She said she couldn't write me a receipt at the moment so she texted me one. I still have all the text corespondence. She showed me some sample Locs in the store which I liked the size however the color was too light. She said she'd get me a photo of the ones she had at home. I got home and didn't hear from her so I texted her reminding her and she didn't respond. The next day she said she got busy....didn't send me the photos for another week. Once she sent them the6 were too large and still the wrong color. I let he know I only liked the size we agreed on in the shop. She ap9logized and said she had some more at home she'd send them. Another four days go by and she ignores my texts so I call and she said she had the flu. She sent another phot to days later and it was still the wrong size. At this point it's three days before my appt. I text her and asked for a refund because I felt she was not giving me the hair I paid for and took too long to respond. I was no longer comfortable with her service. She didn't respond. So several hours later I called and she said to send her my cash app info and she would send it to me. So I did. I still never got my money. I called her and she said give her five mins....ten mins later still no money. I text her no response. Now I'm calling and she is ignoring my calls. This is the most disgusting and dishonoring salon Ive ever worked with. I want my money back. read more

I went natural about 2 years ago and have not found anyone who could do it to where it was healthy soft and REASONABLE in price! Until I came acorss Natural Creations and Ms. Franz-che... Love Love Love them! She gets me in and out, has it soft and healthy with the products she uses, and I don't have to go broke in the process. Can't beat em!! I am going to be honest, the first time I scheduled a hair appt with the owner Franz-che she was about 45 min late. When she finally arrived and started on my hair everything was great. She is a great stylist, I have locs and my hair is very soft and she interlocked the first two rows of my hair. I loved her styling so much that I scheduled a second appt with her after a 3 month long business trip. I come from Alabama to Atlanta to get my hair done as there aren't any natural salons where I live. I set an appt for 11AM and she was a no-show, I waited around until 12:30pm calling and never received a call from her or anything. To drive 3 hours and some change to someone who doesn't have the professional courtesy to call or cancel the appt is beyond rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this salon based on the fact of timely manner/professionalism. Luckily, I went with another salon called Zenzelle and she turned out to be wonderful and on-time with prompt service. read more

Do not book an appointment for an important day because you will be highly disappointed. I had made my appointment over a couple of weeks ago to get there this pass Friday and no one was there, call the owner she couldn't get a hold of the individuals who were supposed to be running her shop why she was out of town. Finally the Owner Franchez, got in touch with one of her employees who was at the hospital with their son is what she told me on the phone and that was it. Franchez never apologized to me for driving all the way across town in traffic morning to come to a place who was not open for business. She did't even offer to do my hair when she return for a discounted price or nothing. I thought that was very unprofessional, and inconsiderate to a new client to treat me as if I had time and gas to waste on this past Friday. I will never return to this unprofessional place ever.
