Came here with Troop 513 and our Boy Scouts and adults really enjoyed a truly wonderful and satisfying experience. The cave exploration is definitely an adventure and challenging and pushes you to the limit while being guided by experienced guides. Our cave guides were Tristan and Emily and both were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of the cave and their experience definitely made what would have otherwise been a very frustrating and difficult task a fun and truly memorable experience. Tip: you can bring your phone if you aren't afraid to possibly damage or lose it as you will be crawling and squeezing through many parts of the adventure. 5 stars for the cave adventure and 5 stars for the campgrounds. I noted that a park ranger gently pushed someone to leash their dog on the trail without getting into a confrontation.

I also stayed in the lodge, which was fantastic! The rooms were well equipped, comfortable, and had great features like balconies. The view at the restaurant over the lake was beautiful, especially at sunset. The fisherman style cabins have decks literally on the water, so that looked like a must see at some point, too!! If you're using GPS, do not search "Fall Creek Falls State Park." Like me, you might end up in the middle of the park with no clear direction to the falls. Instead, search for "Base of Fall Creek Falls" to go directly to the waterfall area. It's also a great place to relax, with a resort-like atmosphere and a beautifully maintained golf course. It was created when the Chickamauga Dam, as part of the Tennessee Valley Authority, was completed in 1940. The lake meanders from Watts Bar Dam to Chickamauga Dam. The lake is 58.9 miles long. It borders Rhea County, Meigs County, and Hamilton County with 810 miles of shoreline. Two bridges cross the lake. One is at State Highway 60 and the other is at Highway 30. It was named after the Chickamauga Cherokee who used to live in the area. I don't fish; I just observe fishermen who are on the docks. Sometimes they like to chat about what they've caught, especially when it's striped bass.
