Horrible customer service. Daniel the "general manager" raises his voice when he is misunderstood but can barely speak English. Every sentence that comes out of his mouth is misunderstood. Mauro the assistant manager isn't helpful for shit. Every question I had for him he had to get "check in" with Daniel. Like do they hold hands together and pee together too? Overall the shop looks like a hole in the wall crack house. It isn't just this location either. Majority of them in El Paso are garbage. First of all a "2 hour" job turned into a 5+ hour job and they didn't have the courtesy to tell me it was gonna be longer than 2 hours so I can leave and come back and I'm not sure what they did to my car but I can't hear my blow out valve anymore so now I gotta take my car back to the performance center to figure it out. read more

Had another great experience at the brake masters on Dyer. I took my truck in because I thought it may be having an alignment issue. They performed a free inspection and said there was nothing wrong with the truck and it did not need an alignment. I walked in thinking I would pay for an alignment but they said it was not necessary. They are very trustworthy and did not try to upsell any other services. I am leaving El Paso soon but if I ever move back will definitely make this location my primary place for car repairs. It's hard to find an auto shop that is trustworthy and does reliable service. Brake Masters on Dyer is very professional and honest. One car I took needed new pads. They put them on and I haven't had any issues with the brake job. The other car I took in for a brake inspection and they told me my brakes were still really good and I didn't need any work done. They ddcperformed the brake inspection for free. I thought for sure they were going to try to sell me new brakes. As long as I am in El Paso I will take my car to Brake Masters for any brake work because I feel they are honest and do good work. read more

Zero stars. I made an on-line appointment to have my brakes repaired. I received an email confirmation of the appointment. When I arrived at location at the appointed time the man at the front desk said that their system doesn't recognize appointments and that I would have to wait hours to have my vehicle checked. When I asked why they had an on-line appointment system if it did honer them and they just grunted at me. I left and want to a much better shop with great customer service. Awful. If I could give 0 stars I would. They turned all my rotars and installed new back breaks. I left and started hearing a noise on the left back drivers side tire. I called and they said they close at 5 and take the last car at 3 and that I wouldn't make it. I had my daughter drop the car the next day, they were so rude to her. Ignored her when she walked to the counter. Then later she called to check on the car, and they said "we called an hour ago", she said I left two numbers, which one did you call. They had called mine and I was at work and couldn't answer. They said "anyway it's ready". She asked what was wrong with it, they said they had cut the rotars unevenly. She went to get it, and they ignored her again, then practically threw the keys at her and didn't say a word. Rick was the person at the desk, so rude. I wrote a review a few years back and went to show a friend where not to go while in this city and it appears they had the review taken down somehow. So summary goes back up to warn others. Went in for brakes to be fixed, service ended up not fully attaching one of my front tires and pulled the vehicle around to me and let me drive away (not far) with a tire wobbling as they bent the wheel and it no long fit properly. So many people could have gotten hurt. No apology. Manager was actually irritated with me, asking me what I wanted. I don't need to go on. Pay a few more bucks and go elsewhere. read more

One of the worst experiences ever. I scheduled a wheel alignment online at 11:00am and had somebody who scheduled a wheel alignment before me arrive to their appointment 35 minutes late. The business decided to put in that person in front of me even though I arrived to my appointment on time like I was supposed to. Then your front office rep decides to tell me that this place works like a doctor's office and that appointments never happen at their actual times. It makes no sense to make your other customers pay the price of waiting just because somebody else could not arrive to their appointment on time. It would have been one thing if the truck was waiting in the parking lot before I arrived but it obviously wasn't because I was sitting outside when it arrived. I called the day before and there was a long wait, so I came the next day at 0700 and they told me it would be a two hour wait. It turned out I was waiting there about 4 hours to get my brakes checked and oil changed. The customer service was good and the waiting room was clean with coffee and they put movies on the tv. I would suggest coming to this location early bc throughout the day they were telling ppl it was a 4 hour wait! I can't imagine how long they would actually wait! I'm not made bc I wouldn't want them to rush any service on my car, maybe plan ahead and drop the car off rather than waiting for it! read more

LAZY!!!! We got an oil change and it was half done they didn't change the filter,check the tire pressure we asked them to they said it was no problem. We had to go to the gas station on post to check the tire pressure and put in air. They didn't reset the change oil sensor we were told oh it will reset itself after turning it off and starting the engine 3 or 4 times. Come on El Paso businesses I am tired of getting 0 star service in a town large enough to have more than 1 Brakemasters this is pathetic this is the last time we use this company at any location read more

So since im a women i really only know how to put gas and step on the gas, i never really have maintained my car until i went to brake masters and let me tell You they really helped me out. What I like the most is the fact that when Tony gave me my keys back he said Now you will b safe, your car is GOOD!! First off Tony is an amazing customer service rep! He is understanding and knowledgable! As far as Brake Masters as company well that is where the poor review comes in. -I brought my car in for the 2-3 oil change in a row at this location and have continued to have great service, in my last visit there they told me my drain plug was stripped and I need a oversized one to fix it. After fixing that issue I payed for the service and went on my marry way. -I moved to Arizona and went to the Honda dealer to get an oil change. Half way though the service they came to me and told me my drain plug is stripped and that I need to replace my whole oil pan which by itself is $300. When I called break masters to explain the situation corporate told me that because it's a aluminum oil pan that it is prone to stripping and there is nothing could be done. They stripped my drain plug and can not stand up to own it! I believe that if a company stands behind their work no mater what the mistake was I will continue to go back. read more

There are not many trustworthy mechanics in this city and much less places with integrity and professionalism when it comes to getting your car serviced at fair prices. I was taken aback by the immediate attention and the time spent answering my questions prior to my service. All costs were given up front, even potential costs! And the best part was that there were no monetary surprises and the job was done on time when they said they would! No extras no hassles! I got full brake service and had to wait for a few hours but the lobby was comfortable and accommodating with coffee, water, and CLEAN bathrooms! So I wrote a concern via their website and the site stated a representative will respond within one business day. Well, two business days later, nothing so I had to write an additional email which finally produced a quick response. Even then nothing really resolved except them fixing my ac which had no issues till they messed with it. We were just passing through El Paso while on a vacation when our battery light came on. We still had about 4 hours to drive till we got to our hotel for the night. We pulled into one shop, everyone was on a break. So we went next door to Brake Masters on Dyer St. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon and they closed at 5:30. They had stopped taking cars for the day because they were so busy, but after we mentioned that we were traveling and just passing through, Jerry, the assistant manager said he would go ahead and take us in. Turned out that we needed a new alternator. Jerry and his crew got right to work on it and before we knew it, we were back on the road! It was such a relief that they were able to help us out on such a short notice. Otherwise, we would have been stranded for a few days, as everyone is closed on Sundays.
