OUTSTANDING SERVICE…read more Our old car broke down late in the day, about half-way through a 20 hour drive from Canada to Florida. AAA came out to the car, established that the problem was more serious than they could fix on the spot, and towed the car to AAA Tire and Auto Service in Lexington, KY, after the business had closed for the day. We were worried sick about when we could resume our trip. AAA Tire and Auto Service called us as soon as they reopened in the morning, saying that he would get right on to the car, and would call us as soon as he had figured out the actual problem with the car. He called us back a few minutes later to tell us what part had broken, exactly what it could cost to fix, and to get our permission to do it. We happily agreed, and he said that he would get the car back on the road as soon as possible, and gave us an approximate time for completion. As soon as he received the new part (an alternator), he installed it, then called us to say it was ready. Absolutely excellent and fast service. Great clarity and consideration on the part of the mechanic in talking to us. We received the best possible service, and we are tremendously grateful to AAA Tire and Auto Service. Abe's was the nearest open shop and they were nice enough to look at my car as soon as I got in. The owner was willing to quickly order parts and get the car fixed by the next day. But instead, he showed me how to use my credit card's rental insurance to cover the repairs for free through the rental car agency. Abe's went out of their way to help me, even when it meant money out of their pocket.
