They're still very reliable. I've never taken my car in and left feeling like there's still an unresolved issue. The quality seems to be better than even the dealer. But I used to take my car in and expect to pay $500 and walk away spending $300. It was awesome. Now, I go in expecting to pay $300 and I end up spending $600. And their upselling doesn't feel great. It seems like they're not just being helpful. It honestly feels like the people on the phone are making a commission. I'm not saying that's what's going on, but it wasn't like this before. What happened? And the extras they're adding are incredibly expensive. If the thing I'm getting fixed costs $300, I don't want to be told you need these little things and it ends up being $600. Come on guys! I don't want to look for another mechanic, but I guess I better. So yeah, if you want it fixed, this is your place. But I would just absolutely say no when they start upselling you on things like an oil change, filters, tire rotations, etc... read more

Honest, affordable, plus quality work. They give estimates before they do any work. I checked pricing and they did have the lowest price for the same parts. It is first come first serve but you can drop off the night before. Very convenient. read more

I came in needing new license plate bulbs and windshield wiper arms/blades. I'd bought some new arms at Advanced Auto Parts but they didn't work. Shawn, the manager, ordered the correct wipers for me and installed them. They did not charge me labor which was super nice. This shop was super friendly, efficient and clean. I must say, I was pretty impressed at how this business followed social distancing during this pandemic. They only allowed 2 customers inside and they had markers the keep customers at safe distance from the person behind the counter. They also had hand sanitizers out and even Clorox wipes out for customers -this is my Covid-19 business response review :) The service done on my mommy van was very satisfactory. I let them know what was wrong with my van and they were able to diagnose the problem quickly. I dropped off my van before noon and I got my van fixed before 5pm. This is my second go to for car issues when my regular mechanic is too busy and this place has not given me the feeling of being taken advantage of. Excellent, no BS, quick and reliable service! My oil change light came on a few days ago and with my busy college schedule (commuting to and from campus 5 days a week) plus my weekend trip to Kings Island planned (driving my car) I needed this to be done asap. Even with a mostly full service garage and very little planning/scheduling on my part, they were able to get my car in and out in about an hour. While I am waiting for my house to be built, I am residing in a rental property which is in a subdivision which hassles people about working on their vehicles. 1st Stop is where I trust taking my vehicles for maintenance & repairs. Three months ago the transmission on my 1-ton red van failed. 1st stop helped discover the issue was within the transmission, so we agreed to have them put a new Jasper transmission. They gave a great price with a hard to beat warranty. In the beginning there were questions of operations, but 1st stop gave me immediate attention and put my mind completely at ease. Hands down the best experience I have ever had with an auto repair shop! I was referred to 1st Stop Auto Care Center by a former employee who helped me diagnose a problem with my car. I was pretty hesitant about going to a repair shop because of my experience in the past with CarMax, however, since the issue with my car wasn't a simple fix, I called to set the appointment. From hello the guys at 1st Stop were friendly and professional. I told them who referred me and why, they said "if Dan said that's the issue, then that's the issue"! The gave me upfront pricing which was in range of what I had researched for parts and labor and they got me in the next day. I dropped my car off at 7:30am and by 10:30am they called me to say my car was ready!!! They didn't change pricing, they "fix" anything else... I came in to pick up the car, they were friendly, took my payment, handed me my keys and I was on my way AND most importantly - MY CAR DRIVES BEAUTIFULLY!!!!! Couldn't have had a better experience! I don't leave many online reviews, but had to for this place. Shawn and everyone else was phenomenal to work with. My vehicle had a hard to diagnose problem that three other places couldn't find. 1st Stop found it, tested every other aspect of the issue and clearly explained what the problem was. They have the equipment and obviously the proper training. Their mechanics are true automotive technicians who literally wear their qualifications on their sleeves. My family has had the pleasure of dealing with 1st Stop twice in the past four months. Not that auto issues are welcome, but dealing with an honest, reasonable business is such a relief. Both times we were expecting substantial costs and both times they diagnosed simple problems and had the vehicles ready the same day at a very reasonable price. I was told at NTB that I would need new back brakes and two pairs of struts, costing me a total of $600. A friend recommended 1st Stop to me, and I'm so glad he did. Turns out that I didn't need new back brakes nor struts at all (stay away from NTB unless you enjoy your money being swindled), just maintenance on my filters and a new belt. With an army of used cars bought for our kids, we've found First Stop Auto to be the most dependable and honest mechanics in town. We recently had a problem with a window that would not roll up and down. Due to the design of the window, the original part was around $1000. The mechanics at First Stop were able to find window track rollers online and repair it for $135. This is an example of the kind of care they give our cars and we really appreciate it.
