I bent the heck out of something after slamming into a curb during a snowstorm, and my steering wheel had to rest at a 30 degree angle just to drive straight. They worked around my wonky schedule to get the car in, replaced the necessary parts and realigned the steering posthaste, and then charged me about half of what I was expecting. Do not trust these people just another corporation trying to make a buck. I took my vehicle here to have my stud replaced and one fixed. I dropped it off at 9am got a call about 4:30pm that the work could not be done because my caliper bolts were seized. Okay I was nice and said I would come pick up my vehicle and not have any work done. Well I'm no idiot it was in another shop the week before for a brake inspection and quote I called that shop on my way to Brakes Plus to ask about my calipers. They were able to verify that my calipers were not seized that it would have been added in my quote had they of been. Well not only that but it was also at Big O Tires that I called after the first shop who were also able to verify my calipers were fine. I arrived at Brakes Plus to double check what was told to me over the phone and pick up my SUV I was again told that the work could not be completed until the calipers were removed and replaced the bolts had seized in place. I knew better I just listened to the lies. I was quoted $900 but wait he then told me I can work with that number and do about $600 for all the work. He's a good sales man il give him that. They are a bunch of inexperienced children that cop attitudes and don't perform the work as instructed, and then have the audacity to talk down to the consumer while they're at it. A call to the manager Kevin O'Sullivan shows that the attitude comes from the top down, as he proceeded to defend his technicians (children's) behavior and speak to me as if I know nothing about my vehicle. after going to Century Chevrolet and being told that I need an alignment, I decided to venture out and try brakes plus. The staff at Brakes Plus are friendly and very helpful. Offered me coupons to use for oil changes, and for the alignment. Waiting time wasn't that bad as well. No extra charges for that "special" oil filters found on newer cars. I plan on getting a transmission flush soon at their store. Lot less than the prices at the car dealerships. And they are honest in their work. read more

I've been coming to this location for about 2.5 years and have always been happy. Still am - finally had one of "those" repairs - a new serpentine belt and water pump. After about 70 miles the belt broke leaving me stranded. They fixed it, and it broke again, it took three times for them to figure it out but I have to say they hung in there and stood by their work. It was just one of those weird things with my car. Up and running now, they gave us a credit and even a cell number stating they'd come rescue me if it happened again. You know - the sign of a good company is when they stick with a problem till it's resolved and these guys really showed they cared. read more

SCAM ARTISTS! My son had his car towed there because his brake pedal went down to the floor. He put more brake fluid in and it all leaked out. They quoted my son $960 for new calipers, drums, pads and lots of other unnecessary replacement parts. We had it towed somewhere else. Only thing wrong with it was ONE brake line was ruptured and needed replaced. $50 part, plus labor. Is this how businesses are run now? You give mechanics a BAD name! read more

This week I came in to have them look at my suspension and they told me I needed my brakes replaced totally disregarding my issues with the suspension. I have to say I am highly impressed with the service I received at Brakes Plus. Being a woman whose husband works full-time, it makes it hard for him to service my vehicle, so that leaves it to me. I had went to MIDAS originally and they gave me a quote for over $1,000 just for struts and shocks on all FOUR. Which I thought was ridiculous and other nooks and crannies, bells and whistles which would have cost us from $3,600-$4,000. Insane!!! I bought the vehicle for $2,800 in perfect condition. No Thank you I'll find another location! I only got an oil change at Midas. Then I went to Brakes Plus dealt with originally Alan at first, then over the phone with Wade both AMAZING did the first round of fixing which were the Brakes and, honestly can't remember at this point but it's on paperwork. They NEVER pressured me or made me feel bad. Alan, did warn me but not to the point where I felt like I had to dish over the cash. He worked with me financially and did some price adjustments to where it felt right at that point. Then I went into my second round of fixings then spoke with Zack. He was realistic as well, yet kind and understanding. I know that companies don't always tell you what they can do unless you did look around and do your research which, I am glad I did. SIDE NOTE: always look for deals, promos, never be afraid to ask for help with deals to lower the cost. Be courteous with people and they are more willing to help you. Remember, they are human beings as well they don't owe you anything, a kind word or gesture can make their day. Anyway, Zack helped me with a ride home in their courtesy vehicle since I only live 5-10 minutes away. He was a safe driver, helped with my daughter's heavy car seat. Picked me up afterwards. And also, helped with setting up my rebate. They weren't just courteous with me only, but every single person who stepped into their shop. I am 100% impressed! I just had to take a moment and let others know that Shain and the rest of the team at Brakes Plus in Arvada did the right thing for the customer. WIthout going into all the details, the bottom line is I was properly taken care of when a communication handoff didn't go as planned. The gap in communication was going to cost me another $1000 for a rebuilt engine and Shain did the right thing by absorbing the additonal cost on his end. The price he gave me was cheaper than I could find anywhere else, even without the necessary tow from his shop. He also didn't charge me for the work that did not fix the overall problem. BEWARE: I took my car into this Brakes Plus to have my cars A/C recharged. First time, they recharged it, I left. Two weeks later my car started to blow hot air again. I took it back, they found a leak, so I had them fix the leak, I left. Two weeks later my car started to blow hot air again. I took it back in, they said my compressor had to be replaced and it would cost over $1000. I picked up my car, took it into another shop... this shop told me my compressor was fine, however they did find a leak... they fixed it for only $100. My cars A/C has been working perfectly. I did not have a brake issue, but I did have the undercarriage cover on my car fall down. It was dragging in the ground and making a terrible sound. I was able to go into Just Brakes on my lunch hour and get it fixed with in about 10 minutes. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Well, they did fix my brakes. However, during the test drive they wrecked my previously, never had been in an accident car, doing $2,600 worth of damage to the front bumper. They were very honest and upfront about the situation which I did appreciate, and of course they paid for the repair and rental. However, not once did they offer a discount on the brakes, which I find absolutely ridiculous given the hassle of missing a half day of work twice in the course of the week, to pick up the rental and to pick up my car. If this were my business rest assured those brakes would be free- but nope, full priced and a full day of work missed for me. Not only did they not offer the brakes service for free or at a discount- they had the audacity to try to convince the guy they sent us to for the repairs to use the certified fit parts rather than the original manufacturer's parts because it was cheaper. Thankfully, the only good thing out of this situation was that we found the amazing team at Caliber Collision off 48th in Wheat Ridge, and the manager there said absolutely no way to doing the repairs with anything other than the manufacturer's parts- especially given that my car had never been wrecked before! Brakes plus can fix your brakes, but don't expect the customer service you deserve. read more

They're lucky that I gave them ONE star. I'd give them NO STARS if I could. Don't go to this Breaks Plus, or any Breaks Plus for that matter. I had my power steering pump "fixed" not only once, or twice, but they looked at it four different times! before they "fixed it". Just to find out from an honest and experienced mechanic, that the pump they used wasn't the recommended part for my Jeep. This then caused other issues that I had to get repaired. I spent a ridiculous amount of money on repairs and labor, for poor quality work. I feel like they are a bunch of LIARS who just want to take your money, they have no regard for what they're giving back to you, they'll give you your vehicle back in worse shape, than what it was before! To put value on this rating I work for a very large marketing and advertising company and I know that bad word always spreads faster then good and I know that when you see ratings that are bad it usually is less then 1% of the business of the company..... I took my car in about 1 1/2 weeks ago and they did some great work and very honest about service and what needed to be done. I had my CV Axel, front breaks and rotors, rear break rebuild, fluid flush on the break system flush, sway bar replaced, oil change air filter, cabin filter, and calibrated the breaks for even wear with some other minor things. They have great techs and management. I had one issue after getting the car back that was unforeseen even by another master tech from ford said there would have been no way that they could have seen this as it is an inner axel seal that was replaced by breaks plus. Keep in mind that it is not a fault of anyone but fords. If you look online a huge issue with that seal across the board. So I took my Car back to Breaks Plus and let them know what was happening and without hesitation they took my car and put it on the lift to check it out. I was kind of scared to here the out come but John came in and said hey we will fix it sorry for the inconvenience and said we will make this right I cant have you leave in this car in the condition that it is in, handed me a key for a nice loaner vehicle and said you might need to put gas in it but if you do bring me the receipt and I will give you your money back. I am so please to announce that I am now a life time customer of Breaks Plus! Thank you to everyone involved in getting my car up and going! I took my Bravada there for engine trouble, a couple days later, they said I needed a new engine due to a spun berring. Very expensive, so I took it elsewhere for a second opinion. There was no spun berring, the other guys replaced a bent valve, much cheaper than Brakes Plus cost of a new motor. read more

I made an appointment to have my brakes serviced at this particular Brakes Plus based solely on the positive reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed. The folks running this location of the franchise are doing a terrific job. They were super-polite, friendly, and explained in laymen's terms exactly what my brakes needed. I keep up on my maintenance, so I already knew my car was due for the check, and what they told me matched my owner's manual. They spoke to me, as a female consumer, professionally and courteously, and did not talk "down" to me the way some automotive places do. They were also super-quick! I could not believe how closely they honored both the appointment and turn-around time. They know what they are doing, are honest, and they even test drove my vehicle to ensure the brakes were working just fine, and they told me what to expect in the coming days.
